yup, lets just discount the countless times vick has WR's wide open and overthrows them by 30 yards. Vick's a hell of an athlete, but a terrible QB.

IMO, getting a new coach is vital is he wants to stay with wrestling. a bad coach at a young age can completely turn a kid off to the sport. I was in the school summer rec program growing up that offered swimming lessons. We were split up by age group and skill level. One year they had new coach for the 10-11 year olds, which i was in. this guy was a HS coach and coached us like we were a HS swim team. It was supposed to be learning how to swim, btu also having some fun during the summer. This guy made us swim laps daily. Our "warm-up" as 11-12 yr olds was 10 laps od 5 different strokes. By the time everyone had finished, there was maybe 15-20 minutes left in the hour. Kids stopped coming and when it got down to maybe 6 out fo the original 20 kids left, they got rid of the guy and brought back the old instructor. At a young age, coaching is everything.

And to think...if SDS had taken this advice 5 years ago, this thread wouldnt exist.

The retardedness of Ed in this thread has hit holcombs arm like proportions. Rutgers, and the big east, are a good mid-level program that coaches will gladly bolt for a top-tier job. Do you honestly think any of the big east coaches wouldn't ditch their jobs for an opening at say...Penn State or Florida State (both likely in the near future). Rich Rodriguez would gladly jump at the 'Nole job, considering his connections with the bowden family. As would petrino. Dont even bring up alabama or miami either. As you yourself said, the 'Bama situation is !@#$ beyond belief. Between all the sanctions, the fact that the boosters cant keep their hands off the players, the irrational fan base (tho not quite as irrational as you ed) and that 'bama has to fight to get any decent recruits and really have no "home turf" in recruiting, the school is a mess. what kind of school fires a coach who went 6-6, and was onyl 1 year removed from a 10-2 season? Miami is a better option, but that program is in rough shape, especially after the end of last year and this season. Neither of them are particularly attractive jobs. While the big east has made strides in the right direction compared to where they were a few years ago, they arent a top tier conference, and dont field top tier teams. They cant hang with the big dogs. As someone said before, how come the old big east teams dont smack around everyone like they used to? BECAUSE THEY ARE PLAYING BETTER COMPETITION! Now Ed, since you wont be able to come up with a rational response to this, i'll save you the trouble and post your next statement here. "FSU sucks and went 6-6 this year"

Yup, his WR's do drop balls. But funny how Romo doesnt blame TO for the 3 TD's TO has dropped in the past few weeks. I heard this on the radio, and it rings so true. For every Vick pass that a WR drops, you can count at least twice that the same WR has been wide open and Vick has tossed the ball 15 yards over his head. Vick is a hell of an athlete, and has amazing athletic ability. But hes not a very good QB. And he's a downright terrible passer.

Yes, i have noticed this starting this season. My VOD is "My Video on Demand" for DirecTV subscribers. Its where you access the menu of all your recorded shows. But this year, DirecTV automatically sticks in highlight packages for all of the previous week's NFL games. They are then automatically deleted at the start fo the next week's games. The packages themselves are quite nice. They run about 4-5 mins long per game, show major plays on each drive, show the scores, and they have home play-by-play announcer for each team call the highlites. (that sounds a bit confusing, so to simplify, they have the calls from john murphy for the bills highlites, and the jags announcers for theirs)
