i think its somewhere in the middle as well. a contract year can put a player in a different mindset. that doesnt mean he was loafing his other years. I also think it is somewhat coincidental. In this day and age, figure your average player will get 3 contracts. their rookie deal, the "big money" deal, and the end of the line deal, like fletche ris seeking this offseason. A lot of players dont fully hit their stride until their 3rd, 4th, or 5th year. And that is around the time their rookie contract is expiring and they will be up for the "big money" contract. So development of them as a great player coincides with the expiration of their contract, thus resulting in them looking "motivated". What sucks about this is that not matter how well willis does next year, all the haters are going to claim that he was only motivated because of his contract and that he wont repeat his success.

Lost...hmmm, lets see..that was the really good show for the first 2 season on ABC before they ed it beyond belief in the first 6 or so episodes of this season. I am hoping this part of the season it much better, but it seems the writers too themselves too seriously and tried to make things too tricky or complicated. They also left too many open storylines that were never completed and then ignored. But i loved how they spent half of season 2 on the "tailies" and then subsequently killed them all off within a few weeks.

what your stats dont tell is exactly what simon said. how worthless price rounds off his patterns and doesnt run crisp routes. they also wont tell you that he sits there and waits for the ball to come to him, instead of going to get it. Stats wont tell you that he cost JP 2-3 INT's easily this year by not fighting for the ball, and just slacking off. people remember that game winning TD catch against houston. but its the little things in the above paragraph that make a decent WR good, and worthless price doesnt do them.
