One of the most physical, entertaining matches I've seen in a while. I have to say, I'm very impressed with Portugal. They seem much less like a collection of individuals and more like a team this year. They had a lot of REALLY nice opportunities but just couldn't get it done. You had guys taking shots to the nuts, getting knocked off their arses during set pieces, clutch saves, etc...really good match. Congrats to the Germans!

first half of germany vs portugal is a great example of entertaining futbal where there were no goals scored. Some early drama and tension, and you can tell that these two teams are here to win. I am PISSED that my boys are staring Gomez over Air Klose...I don't get that at all. I know Klose has some wear on the tires, but he's an ANIMAL in these matches!! Germany has been holding back a bit, I think, although the Portugese are playing solid D. I love watching that girly man Ronaldo...he's dangerous as hell.

I'm actually a fan of his, as well, but only when he's not playing Germany I really enjoy watching his game...he's got some skills for sure. Today will not be a good day for him, though. Dang, my boy Van Der Faart is gettin warmed up!

I appreciate the effort to appease me, but the thrill is gone...

Hell yeah, that's going to be a solid match...I'm looking forward to getting a look at Meazza's boys to see what Germans have in store for them later on It's really cool seeing A.Lalas and M.Ballack sitting next to each other at the table during the halftime show...two of the most passionate players for their respective sides from years past. I'm stoked!!

If having insider knowledge were a prerequisite for posting opinions on this board, there would be nothing here but a sh*tload of crickets.

I'm pretty torn on who I want to win...on the one hand, I seem to find gratification in watching Miami fail, but on the other hand I think I'd be more apt to pay attention to the finals if it were a Miami v. OKC series. I just hope it's a good game, cause I'm always a sucker for a game 7 and I will definitely be watching. Your boys gotta do a better job of finishing if they want to win, though...good luck!!

It does create for some awkward moments. I spend my days talking with retirees from GA about their health, and even though I'm a Christian, I'm sometimes not the right "kind" of Christian since I'm a Catholic. One big problem I have with it is that people will determine how to treat you based on how well you fit their criteria of what a Christian should be. I understand how to re-direct the conversation in order to circumvent this whole ordeal typically, but I fully understand what you're talking about.

I guess I just can't get past how lousy Shaq's game was outside of his physicality. I am biased toward someone like Wilt because his game was far more complete, and he truly WAS an athlete...he was one hell of a discus thrower. Maybe it's just a matter of how we define it, you know? I think you're spot on with regard to Bo...he's easily one of the best athletes of my lifetime. If he hadn't gotten injured, his career would have been unreal.

Hell yeah. You know what? All hype aside, opposing QBs have seriously got to be truly unnerved by the thought of our front four lining up across from them. When you face multiple players who could draw a double team, that has GOT to be messing with their heads already...especially with history proving how mortal Brady becomes when you put him on the ground, it completely changes the dynamic of our two games against the Pats. There is NOTHING like watching a defense that attacks relentlessly...it's been so long since we've been truly dominant on that side of the ball, which is a shame because (IMO) that should be a trademark of a team from Buffalo. From a fan perspective, how good does it feel to see one of our boys just JACK UP someone on the other team?
