  1. Wow, what a finish...Miami got lucky on the no-call on Durant...that was almost an amazing comeback! Can't wait for game 3!
  2. Poland is my #2 team for sure
  3. Are you referring to the mystical Azzurri ability to recover on-field within two mins of a near-fatal injury and then continue playing the game as if nothing happened?
  4. Of course the Germans are the best...duh!!
  5. Polish folk are amazingly passionate, good-hearted people. I grew up around predominantly Polish extended family and I'm a better person because of it. I love that they have something to be excited about and I hope the Poles win their third game. They probably won't advance, but they put themselves in position to have a shot...I'm proud of 'em.
  6. So far, so good
  7. I usually don't get all that into who wins and loses, but that year was an embarrassment! Great point about Blanchett...I totally forgot she lost to Paltrow...I didn't even really want to see Elizabeth, but I went to the theater to help my brother screen his copies the night before the release and I was really impressed by it. Excellent film and fantastic acting!
  8. Just so you guys know, the PRETENDER best picture from '99, the POSER that didn't deserve it...Shakespeare in Love, just came out on streaming. On top of that, though, one of the two pics that SHOULD have won, and my favorite film of all time, Life is Beautiful, just came out as well. Clearly, Life is Beautiful and Saving Private Ryan were both superior to Shakespeare, and the most incriminating evidence that the academy voters don't ever watch the films
  9. I can't wait for this game tonight! My lady friend's daughter is a diehard Heat fan...going to be fun rubbing it in when Mr. Durant goes apeshiit!
  10. The first fight I ever remember watching was Marvin Hagler v. Tommy Hearns. I recored that and must have watched it like four or five times on replay. The 80s was when I was watching, too...and I totally agree about how good it was back then. I even kept watching through the advent of Tyson, through the Buster Douglas loss, into the Foreman/Moorer/Holyfield/Lewis/Riddick years...the Tyson comeback against McNeely...and then after that, I totally lost interest. I discovered MMA and was hooked, and at that point I pretty much felt like boxing couldn't compete with MMA in terms of holding my interest. It's a shame because even though I consider MMA the ultimate form of fighting competition, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the sweet science. Just too bad that money corrupted the sport, cause I would probably still watch.
  11. How bout those crazy Polocks!!!! Still alive, baby!!
  12. The "business" of boxing has totally ruined the sport...there's no way in hell I will support this nonsense financially by purchasing a PPV.
  13. BTW, here is a service that I use from time to time, as well...I first saw it on an audio/video forum and have had good results...lots of positive feedback and testimonials over at avsforum.com http://stores.3d-blurayrental.com/StoreFront.bok
  14. It's pricey, but he loves it and honestly it's more for me than it is for him. About every few months, he'd have a reaction and start getting a whole lot of gas and loose stool. There were many, many times he'd either wake me up while I was trying to get daytime sleep in between 12 hr night shifts at the hospital and/or need to go out multiple times in a short period. From time to time he would even have a little blood in his stool. The vet recommended a bland diet, but the stuff they sold was a real hassle. I order this Orijen stuff off Amazon...it shows up at my front door and he makes beautiful, formed stools time after time. He really hasn't had any sort of bowel issue in over two years now, and considering the alternative it's a true blessing...and a bargain lol. He's determined to get this trick down! That it is, my friend...I knew his midichlorian count must be pretty high when he graduated from potty training in about four days I'll never forget the first time I didn't know where he went as a pup, and my ex-wife pointing out that he was sitting right next to the back door waiting to go out. I was a proud papa
  15. If you're into 3D, I think it's totally worth it just for that. I was relatively happy with Dish, but when I got my 3D projector and realized how little material there was for it, I jumped at DTV when I saw that they had those channels. They have three or four 3D channels and it's plenty of material for me. The 3D Cinema channel is great, but I watch ESPN 3D and the other 3D channel they offer that has all sorts of IMAX films and other documentary type stuff on it. The image is very impressive...better than most 3D films that I watch. And aside from the Cinema 3D, which is PPV, the other 3D channels are free with the basic package. There are supposed to be more on the way, and I have a feeling that DTV will be among the leaders in this area among cable and other satellite providers. The first time you see college football in 3D is a pretty special moment
  16. Best I've seen yet is the last Final Destination film...there is a bridge scene in the beginning that truly impressed me. Worst I've seen is Fright Night. I dont know if you have DirecTV, but the 3D channels they have are fantastic.
  17. I was using Natural Balance but have since switched over to Orijen. Obi is sensitive to fillers and such, and his BMs have improved dramatically since switching. He used to really have some issues with his digestion.
  18. you got that right!
  19. Just FYI for anyone who is into Bon Iver, the lesser known member in the video, Sean Carey, also has an album out...his stage name is S.Carey He's got some clips on youtube, as well... (don't bother watching this, James lol)
  20. LOL, without question! On the next video I'll ask him if he's still enjoying the food that his Uncle Wes turned him on to
  21. I never got into his first album, but this video has rekindled my interest for sure...just beautiful music. I've listened to the 2nd track like four times...I love these vocals with the dual pianos...wow
  22. If you have headphones, wear them for this...the sound quality is quite good.
