  1. Omg...worst...episode...ever. I can't believe i wasted an hour of my time watching that. Not a single damn alien the entire hour. If someone could have just said, , that's all I needed to know. What a completely pointless episode.
  2. I do notice that titles seem to disappear at times...and other times movies that I never heard of just magically appear....very odd. I got rid of my Netflix mail service. Right now I'm a "stream only" type of person between Netflix and Vudu.
  3. Always happy to further dismantle the stereotype Yep, like Jay said in his review, let's get on with it already....four episodes in, you'd expect some major stojan to go down...felt like it took a step back this week.
  4. Each season for the past several years, I've had BBAD either recorded or I've had it on when I went to bed. It's very rare that I've actually sat there and watched from start to finish, but that's what happened with last night's episode. For those who don't want any info, I"ll just say to be sure to check out Wednesday's episode...should be good. For those who want a little inside info, check the spoiler tag:
  5. Cool, I've had that one sitting in my queue but haven't pulled the trigger on it yet.
  6. Yep, and probably to a lesser degree with Walking Dead. I don't remember specifics, but I know after S1 of WD they started screwing around with that, as well. They almost seem to take for granted what they have. No doubt...I've really come to love being able to watch shows on DVD/streaming at my own pace...it's a fun ride. And I agree...Sage is the sh*t!
  7. I think you're probably exactly right. Maybe that's why Gilligan is making all the women neurotic and annoying...AMC has been pressuring him to add in the elements you mentioned to appeal to a broader demographic, and so this is his way to comply and protest at the same time EDIT: After reading Jay's review, I didn't even think about the Chrysler angle...just another reason for me to remain cynical about AMC and the way they seem to love to mess with their best shows...idiots.
  8. I probably liked QOS better than many, but I agree it wasn't up to standard compared to CR. I think my love for the Bourne franchise, and also the way my love for this one has been rekindled since ditching Brosnan and going with a badass, has sort of shown me how much I love this genre. I'll throw something like "Taken", and maybe even the Transporter films into the mix...I geek out to these films pretty easily and they've all been great rides. I had really become disinterested in Bond with Brosnan running around, and now that I've done a 180 on it I'm really psyched for Skyfall. I just hope it's not in 3D lol.
  9. I think you could really get a feel for just how much this meant to everyone there and how much they had on their shoulders. To see it all culminate with a successful entry and touchdown was really something. I can't even fathom what they must have been feeling inside...and I love how they were celebrating it in terms of all the American people and also the other handful of countries that were involved. They presented it as something we can all share it together, and that was very cool. I'm really amazed at the technology of this thing, too...supposedly it's like putting a small lab on Mars. Serious question for anyone who knows: What happens if the thing tips over?
  10. Agree with 3rd...seeing him be able to stand and hold his kids is really a beautiful sight.
  11. That's really the only qualm I have about this show...whether it's that crazy biatch Marie's cleptomaniacal nonsense or Skylar's psychotic submersion into the pool, I've had enough of these two. When we saw Hank leading his team to Lydia's office and then back at the DEA building, I was really getting into this...I want to see Hank keep sniffing that scent cause I love how that tension has built up in the past when he comes within a hair of crossing paths with Heisenberg. But then we have to start hearing Miss Infidelity whine about the "environment" her kids are in and then basically stabbing Walt in the back with her comment about his cancer. It's time for Walt to put a call into Heisenberg...cause like he said, nothing will derail this train.
  12. yep, it was amazing watching that...wasn't really much to see in terms of mars, but watching the NASA people was fun
  13. This is the new standard for the term "epic". Congrats to all these hugging nerds...I'm in awe of them. Truly.
  14. Wow, very cool. If anyone has a Roku box (if you don't, then GET one!!), the NASA channel is available in HD for free.
  15. Saw a good one last night...almost rented this off Vudu a couple weeks ago, so was happy to see it find its way to Netflix streaming. Would have been worth the $3.99 anyway, but free is always better. Anyway, check out Willem Dafoe in "The Hunter".
  16. I was fine with him leaving...I love our safeties.
  17. Thanks, Svenster!!!
  18. lol...I know how you're going to react to this...but the other night when Jen had her hair down, I thought she was pretty good looking!
  19. LOL I agree...janelle was already in playboy and for some reason she seems to look better with clothes on...Brit seems to have quite the bod and I'm pretty sure she's alll natural.
  20. I was glad they did a piece on Sid the other night...cool to see him in that environment. He ranks up there with the Ultimate Warrior as the two most physically intimidating people I've ever seen in real life. Agreed about britt...she's annoying, but pretty hot at the same time. Janelle had a hilarious nip slip on the BBAD show the other night...I was lmao.
  21. (watching to see if the OP goes b.harami)
  22. Unfortunately the ratings are "meh", too...they need to get this train moving or else a long time summer favorite will come to an end. I think I'm starting to get on the Ian bandwagon...he's one weird dude and he keeps it interesting. One of the main problems this season is that there isn't anyone for me to hate. I don't really feel much concern over who stays and who goes at this point. I thought the coaches thing gave the game more layers, so to speak, so it'll be interesting to see how things develop now that they have entered the game as players. Pretty smart to have that be an "Americas Choice" vote since they could be about 99% sure which way the vote would go. Keeps some of the heat off the producers' backs in case it ends up not being a good move. I have to say that the HOH comp rolled over into the BB after Dark show thursday night, and the winner REALLY impressed me...I really like when that happens, cause you get to see some of the deals that get made when it's down to just a couple or a few players left in the end. I remember a competition during Dan's first season where they were sitting on these small platforms connected to a swinging rope, and they were repeatedly thrust into a huge tarp covered wall...last one to hang on was the HOH. It was toward the end of that season and the stakes were pretty high...it lasted well into BBAD and it was fun seeing how it all went down. BB had to tend to them medically afterwards, preventing them from taking a warm shower since that could have thrown them into shock. They were soaked for hours and ended up hypothermic from the competition. Pretty intense stuff.
  23. If they pull off a film on par with Casino Royale, that would be amazing. I've been a Bond fan all my life and seen every single one of them over the years...it's debatable whether CR was the best, but it was definitley my favorite. Whoever made the decision to take Bond in a more gritty, cavalier direction is a genius. The Skyfall trailers have my attention, that's for sure...can't wait!
