I disagree. They need to do well starting week 1 of the regular season. That's all that matters. They also lost to the Redskins twice, whereas we wiped our collective aholes with the skins....People who just take isolated events and try to make grand statements are just kidding themselves.

I can understand that. Anyone who isn't brand new to the game can recognize that in week one of the reg season, teams look ENTIRELY different than how they looked during the preseason. Preseason is for roster evaluation more than anything. People who get hung up on one particular play, or one series, or even one entire preseason game, need to chill a bit. Season doesn't start for another month.

This is why I stay on Off the Wall most of the time...

I'm really surprised that she actually went...friggin Britney almost screwed up the alliance as it was forming, and then she almost screwed up the eviction. She is hot, but she's a terrible game player. These people who get all emotional are just absurd. It's a GAME...and it's FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS....just pathetic. I thought for sure Ian would have won HOH tonight...that competition was perfectly suited for him....would have been more interesting to see what he would have done. Now that Frank is in power, pretty obvious that Joe will go up, and then it'll be Wil or Ash since those were Janelles players. Jen should be safe a while longer. And you're right about the Olympics being the main reason for poor ratings...BB was actually the 2nd highest ranked show on TV last Thursday (I didn't check this week), and the ratings are twice as high as they are for the Glass House. I have been watching Glass House, but BB is just much more interesting. With this type of show, it really benefits from being on 3x per week. It's easier to get attached to the players and keep up with what's goin on.

didn't even see those...thanks! Another solid addition to Netflix is Captain America in case I forgot to mention it. They seem to have quite a few of the latest Marvel films on streaming...both Iron Mans, Thor, and Capt America.

Thanks for the reminder about Restrepo...keep meaning to watch that one. BTW, couple nice additions to streaming....Margin Call, which I found pretty entertaining even though it wasn't a critical success....and Warrior with Tom Hardy, a film I enjoyed quite a bit. Also, i haven't seen it yet, but Albert Nobbs with Glenn Close also has been added. I have to give Netflix credit...I crapped on them pretty hard when they basically forced me to cancel their mail service and go elsewhere for new releases....but they have really added some nice titles as of late. I still think they went about it the wrong way, but for $8 a month the streaming service has really become a steal.

I listen to WIP sports radio out of Philly all the time, and they had absolutely zero interest in keeping VY around after last season. One of the hosts was citing a source within the organziation and really throwing the guy under the bus. They made no effort to bring him back.

Okay, well the way you describe it makes me want to watch it more than how I felt after listening to Cowherd....I'll definitely check it out.

I could really see myself being less critical if they would just be more consistent. Those last few shows prior to this one really entertained me. I felt like the show was turning a corner and ready to just really captivate us. But this week completely let me down. I definitely want the show to stick around, I just want more meat and less gristle. I'm glad you're enjoying it, though...I'm hopeful that I'll get to where you are at some point, I'm just not quite there yet.

Was there actually any football on the first show? I haven't seen it yet, but Cowherd was complaining that it was all about wives of football players. I want to see FOOTBALL, not Housewives of Miami.

Yep, for sure. They have a nice story there, if they can edit that down they could literally make an entire show out of it. Can't wait for tonight and tomorrow's episodes Boogie is impressing me with some of his moves, particularly this most recent one that you'll see on tonight' show...but I could never put anyone on par with Dr. Will just because of how different the show was. In order to win it, Will had to escape the block several times that season, and he did it without a POV. It was just a master class in manipulation. It's funny cause as I was watching that season, I remember HATING chilltown...but by the end of the show, I had become a Dr. Will fan. The guy was just masterful.

Exactly, it's totally not worth watching it every night....but having it on while hanging out online or getting ready for sleep can be some fun. It was almost like watching a 3hr regular BB episode cause it flowed so well for not being edited. Seeing this whole thing go from

Mark Vader and I were just saying the other night how our confidence in the show was renewed these last few weeks...so I was pretty eager to see this week's show. I honestly don't know what they're thinking. It's like they compltely forget they have been invaded by aliens. All this boring dialogue that has absolutely no bearing on the present is just agonizing to sit through. I just don't get it...I love alien/sci-fi stuff. I'll watch Skyline and enjoy the hell out of it while most everyone else is baggin on it. I'll probably love Battleship when I see it. Cloverfield was one of the absolute best HT experiences I've ever had. It's pretty hard to frustrate me when it comes to aliens....but somehow this show finds a way to do it. I really think it tries to be more than it is. I'm sorry, but if I had aliens, robots with lasers, children with glowing spikes shooting out of their spine, and whatever else trying to kill me, I really don't think I'd be all that concerned about whether someone had a drug problem several years ago. Pretty much my entire focus is on the survival of my family, my friends, and myself. They keep losing sight of that, and it's really getting frustrating. It almost feels like they're taking a viewer like me for granted, cause they know I'll keep watching. Loved Band of Brothers. Have you watched The Pacific yet? It's not a good show at all, I agree. It's a show that is very interesting and entertaining at times, but overall just drops the ball. I'm with you on Walking Dead. Can't wait to see where it goes with these new characters being introduced. I still think the show needs more Darabont, but I'm psyched for the upcoming season. Same here. I'll keep watching cause the alien scenes are really damn good most of the time. I also love the idea of the skidders being enslaved by the stretchy guys and how they're trying to rebel. Why can't they focus more on THAT??
