Our RBs were averaging SEVEN YDS PER CARRY....why give Fitz 35 attempts??????? Why let him pass in that situation at the end??????????? Gailey has GOT to have a screw loose!!!!!!!! -
If Wanny had any pride he'd resign.

I know a lot of us figured the D may not quite live up to the hype, or how good they looked on paper, but fux sake, NOBODY thought in a million years they'd be WORSE!!!! That is the biggest WTF of the season for me, by far. I've said it several times on here....when I saw Wanny's quote that he was "here as a favor to Chan", I immediately wanted him gone. That was like over a month ago I saw that, and I wish he would have been gone back THEN. Clearly he has zero passion for this job...step aside Dave. -

I like my Kindle Fire (I dont use it for reading, though) for the money, but I'm itching for an iPad cause it seems like every time I find a cool app on my iPhone it's not available on the Kindle. I know it can be rigged up to access the android marketplace or whatever, but I'm not that sophisticated. I got my first exposure to an iPad the other day at a local stereo shop and it was thoroughly impressive. -
Murray has about the same TD/INT ratio as P.Manning did at Tennessee...3:1....except Murray will have more TDs by the end of his 3rd year than Peyton had by the end of his 4th.
-
It won't matter that you don't drink, cause Murray will be the better pro! haha I'll even give you Bray, as well, since you're so high on him....I'll take Murray, you get Bray AND Jones....we'll see which of the three is considered the more successful QB a few years into their pro career.

Cordarrelle Patterson - WR - Tennessee

I was thinking about this today....to me, it would make a lot of sense to use our first TWO picks on QBs. Here's my reasoning: If we pretty much assume we don't have the "QB of the future" on our roster currently, why not draft the top two guys available at our first two picks, allow them to compete in camp, and ride the winner into game one while we develop the other one for a year or two on the bench. It not only allows us to hedge our bets, so to speak, but chances are, if we make smart choices, we'll be able to move one of them in a trade at a later date. Locking up two of these guys would be an intriguing idea, IMO....I dont see us ever DOING that, but I could honestly see the advantage of it. I'd much rather get two shots at a long term starter than only one. -
Landry Jones completion % has dropped slightly each of the last three years, his TD:INT ratio is about 2:1, and he plays in a far weaker conference. Murray's completion % is up this season (especially after today's game), his TD:INT ratio is more like 3:1, and he plays in the best conference in college ball. Obviously we won't know which one of us is right for a few years, but I'll be happy to put a steak and a beer on it if you're game.

Agree about Bray, but Aaron Murray will end up being the best QB out of next year's draft class. I've been high on this kid for three years now, and I truly believe it's one of those ONE things I'm right about once ever few years. He's very quietly become a leader on the field and he can make *every* NFL throw. There are things he's doing that Fitzy can only do in his dreams on the nights when he's not dreaming of calculus or how to solve the world's energy crisis. I think Murray could have a bit of a drop, possibly even into the 2nd round d/t his height, but I see him as an easy top 15 pick for a team in need....if we picked him, I'd be thrilled.

Nice...I loved Looper. I have some buds who were disappointed by it, but I was thoroughly entertained. I'll have to check out sinister for sure. It's nice to see Ethan Hawk's cheating ass getting some higher profile roles again...I've always thought he was a solid actor. -
The first team I ever loved was the Atlanta Braves. Dale Murphy was pretty much my hero growing up back in the early 80s, and those teams with Dale, Bruce Horner, Chambliss, Washington, Butler, Ramirez, Hubbard, Benedict, and Joe Torre were awesome. Losing to the Blue Jays and Twins in the first two series' was pretty painful, but then in '95 we finally got it done...pretty amazing feeling. Bills fan since '85....0-fer. Flyers fan since '96....0-fer Sixers fan since '96....0-fer

There is a documentary that the one captain to rule them all did that is available on Netflix....I think it's called "Captains" and it's really interesting.

Thanks for those listings, Astro....very nice!

Is this serious? If so, I agree...that's damn stupid. I don't even go to chick fil a anymore cause they are so damn annyoing there. There's a difference between being polite and providing good service, and being so over the top that it's nauseating.

Heck yeah! Huge game between Florida and the Gamecocks at 330p, and then another game that is very interesting at 7pm when Geno Smith and WVA meets undefeated Kansas State. There are other games that promise to be worth watching, too, but these are the two I'm most interested in. There are a lot of folks on TBD who are becoming, or have been, very high on Geno Smith.

Nice! As always, the Indy list is even more interesting to me than the studio stuff....although there are certainly a few on the first list I want to check out, as well. Very interested to see that Zeppelin film! I finally got around to seeing The Doors and loved it....that resulted in an interest in checking out a few other Doors films, each of which was very interesting and entertaining. Truly one of the most fascinating bands, and lead men, of all time. -
lol, those are great....they should use those images in their marketing...they would be very effective at generating interest!

ramble on, brother! I think it's great to talk about this stuff....really sorry about your mom, though...I hope she's able to knock that cancer out and make those changes you referred to...I work with diabetic seniors for a living, so feel free to PM if I can ever be of help. And I haven't forgotten about the amazing race thing...truly, I think it would be a great story if we could do that! -

Guys, I know you all know this, but DRINK YOUR WATER!!! I don't care if you don't like it....just DRINK IT!!!! I don't know how many of you know this about RNs (and other health professionals), but we tend to be the "do as I say, not as I do" types, and we're often the worst patients on earth. As I've battled some severe back issues over the past 5-6 years, my health has really taken a turn for the worse. It pretty much came to a head on Monday when I went for my first post-40 physical. When I saw my weight, I nearly hit the floor. I've become a sedentary, overweight, under-hydrated, under-nourished, unhealthy son of a gun. On Monday I decided to start making some changes, and one of the first ones I made was to drink water and to dramatically reduce my intake of pop. I was consuming nearly 1000 calories A DAY in pop....mostly Coke...and this left my body in a state of chronic dehydration. As a result, I was falsely hungry and constantly overeating. Because of the pain, I gained a lot of weight....which resulted in less activity and even more weight gain. Well, it's been five days and the changes are drastic, even for a professionally educated RN! I've had a ton more energy....I feel like i've flushed my system of a bunch of bloat and bulk that gave me that "bogged down" feeling....my appetite has been reduced dramatically, to the point where many "cravings" that existed before have already been completely eliminated....and all of a sudden I'm much more interested in making healthier choices. In short, I feel like I did back in my 20s when I was actively into fitness and bodybuilding. I've been an athlete my entire life, and my body knows it's NOT supposed to be like this! Well, cutting out the pop and replacing it with water has been the most amazing decision I've made in years....and I'm not EVER going back! I'm sure many of you who are younger or in great shape won't appreciate the gravity of what I'm saying here, or it just won't make that much difference to you at this time. The benefits of hydration are made aware to us from the time we're in grade school for gosh sakes. I'm saying this more for those of you who are either in a similar situation as myself, or who can feel themselves maybe starting to travel down that road. If you're drinking all those empty calories and taking in all that sugar you get from pop, and you aren't making an effort to drink you minimum of 64oz of water per day, PLEASE consider giving it a try. You might find that you're amazed at the changes! I won't lie, the first couple days are really tough. You can feel your body saying a big "wtf", but once you come out the other side it's glorious!!! DRINK THAT WATER, BOYS AND GIRLS!!!
