Actually, never mind....I like to look at post histories of people I don't know, and in the first few minutes I see where you 1) said Fitz was good enough, 2) didnt' want to pay Stevie starter money, and 3) said our defense only needed one "quality LB and one quality DL" and we'd be playoff bound. Hell, I thought I was wrong about a lot of stuff!

As good 'ol Ben Franklin once said, if you expect different results by doing the same thing over and over, you're a moron. (paraphrasing, of course lol) I don't see the Bills making many changes lately... Lord knows Green Bay has practiced what they preach and picked up QBs to develop over the years...we should take note of that.

The bills tried to sneak him away from GB by offering to move him onto our active roster. He was either on GB's practice squad or just inactive, I don't recall which, but GB had to move him to their active roster to block the move. I don't remember exactly when it happened, but I think it was either late last year or early this year. He would have been an interesting player to have here.

I would love to be a fly on the wall during the meetings with Chan and Buddy about the QB spot. They've GOT to be aware of the fact that Fitzy is regressing and just not an NFL caliber starter...it makes me nervous how much Chan defends him, though. I was glad to see them try to sneak Graham Harrell out of GB, but dang, they've passed up so many opportunities in the draft the last 2-3 years that it's frustrating as hell.

I agree totally. I dont remember if it was the former Green Bay GM or whoever, but I remember a guy I respected saying that you should ALWAYS take a QB at some point in the draft. The fact that we haven't taken ANY, like you said, is a joke man. I wouldn't be surprised if Foles is the starter in Philly by the end of the season. He may be a total bust, but he's sure show some flashes and i know the birds are very high on the kid. I'd love to have a guy on our roster that we're developing. Our current QB situation makes zero sense to me. He's only half way through his 3rd year....anyone who is going to put him in a box based on that is just plain wrong, brother....these kids still improve and grow, and the more big games he plays in the better. I don't mean you necessarily, but for several people to be jumping all over the guy after the first few quarters of a crappy performance proclaiming the TRUE Andrew Murray to be revealing himself, and that they just KNEW it all along....come on lol... You guys can crap on him all you want, but I'd go to bat with him any day. You show me a QB who doesn't crap the bed from time to time and I'll show you a unicorn.

Totally disagree with you. The kid is the most prolific JUNIOR in UGA history...he's still a kid! He made a clutch throw when it counted and Mitchell took it to the house. That's what winners do. Some of you guys who are so quick to jump on this kid the minute he has a bad game, pretending like the entirety of his resume is completely meaningless, are something else... Guess what, EVERY QB HAS BAD GAMES! I don't care if you're talking about Tom Brady, Ryan Fitzpatrick, or anyone in between. Seeing the kid struggle for 3 quarters and using that as an opportunity to make these grand statements about how some of you JUST KNEW IT!!! LOOK, SEE, HE SUCKS!! C'mon....poor form, brother. The SEC is by FAR the best conference in the country, and the Gators were ranked #2 for a reason. This is a HUGE win and Murray came up huge when it mattered most. That's the mark of a winner.

I usually think the whole meddling thing is overblown, but when I heard he prevented us from bringing in MartyBall I was pissed. Marty would have done a MUCH better job than what we've had with Chan, IMO.

I will always be a proponent of the Buddy Ryan philosophy of defense, which is basically the exact opposite of Wanny. I believe in sending one more guy than the offense can account for, raising all kinds of hell, and forcing the offense to take lots and lots of chances. They'll hit plays here and there, but you'll get lots of turnovers and the defenders will have a whole lot more fun. We HAVE the guys to take this approach, but instead Wanny insists on his "defense should be simple" bullcrap. The best DCs are the ones who show different looks that confuse the offense, force them into bad line calls, reduce the time the QB has in the pocket, and make life miserable for the offense in general. Instead, we let Brady, Hasselbeck, etc sit back there ALLLLL day and find open receivers. I'm sorry, but that's stupid.

I typically always support the players in contract negotiations and revenue sharing agreements, etc....their lives are literally at risk every time they suit up in the name of our entertainment. I respect the hell out of them for that. But anyone who intentionally stops putting forth their best effort during those 60 mins each week loses my respect immediately. That is low class no matter how you look at it. The team can't say, "hey, Mario, you're not really doing much out there so we're going to half-ass your pay this week...." These guys have a contract and they should honor that contract with effort. That's the absolutely LEAST that should be expected.

I understand your view....but keep in mind that there is a reason why Matty Stafford had no big wins as UGA QB, no "statement" moments, no memorable throws....none of that....yet he's a successful starter in the NFL. UGA has underachieved as a team since Mark Richt took over. I hate to say that, cause I like coach a lot, but it's true. It's not just the QBs who come up short in big games, it's the team as a whole....Richt can't win against top rated teams...it's been his story for the last decade and it doesn't matter who is behind center. Murray is putting up FAR better numbers than Stafford did, and he's doing it despite his inept coaching and surrounding cast.

You guys are so funny....if someone just told you there was a mystery QB who in 2.5 seasons as starter has thrown for 70+ TDs, completed over 60% of his passes, has a greater than 3:1 TD:INT ratio, plays behind a crap line, has a done all of this in the best conference in the country, you'd all be drooling.

Really good season so far...agree that Gemma is a total whore/loser. Thought Clay's play was smart, which bought him some time, but he's stupid to hang around and wait for someone to put a bullet in his head. Really enjoy Jimmy Smits' "Nero" being part of the show. Adds another interesting element to the story lines.

He got crushed in that game, I agree. He started getting more going toward the end of the game, but USCs defense just obliterated the UGA line. They couldn't run or pass. I bet Anne Murray can hit a post route better than Fitz.

I guess I better not read what you read then...we're in year one of this guy...I'm not ready to hack on him yet. I do know that I've watched him pretty closely these first seven games and I don't understand what he's doing half the time....I really don't understand how this has happened....this guy was supposed to be an elite pass rusher.
