  1. Probably only a handful of us understand what you mean by that
  2. Dang, sorry I missed him...hopefully he'll be back soon then. I'm glad he's still out there!
  3. ...and Dan Gross! And Taterhill!
  4. Hey brothers (and sisters!) It's funny cause just the other day when Brandon Hantz had a huge meltdown on Survivor, the first thing I felt the urge to do was to come on TBD and see what James and the rest of our regular crew was saying about the episode. I took that as a sign that my self-imposed period of exile had served its purpose and I was just about ready to become active again, and then when Fez and Jim emailed me that a few folks were wondering why I hadn't been posting, it served as an extra bit of confirmation. . Basically the quote that JB posted pretty much encapsulated how I was feeling at the time, so I appreciate him sharing that. Since October I've been more active on a couple of the home theater/audio forums that I enjoy, which is always a "safe place" since most of the mbrs are in a perpetual state of joy from buying all sorts of audio gear lol. I even had some good movie discussions from time to time, but they just never came close to replacing an authentic Vader posting, or the level of insight and humor that I've always enjoyed and appreciated from you guys. Speaking of which, if this is true that tgreg has left or is taking time away, I hope that he'll see this thread like I did and consider checking in...I agree with all of you who said that he's one of the guys we all love to hear from and it's not the same w/out him. Anyway, thanks Brawndo and everyone, I really appreciate the kind words and I truly hope that nobody took it personally that I needed to bail for a bit. It really meant a whole lot to me when a few of you took the time back in October to talk to me about my frustration (you know who you are), and I appreciate the soft landing you're providing me now. (Oh, and btw, James, if you and I were running the race this season, we'd never have done anything as stupid as what that team did last week....I haven't watched last night's episode yet, but wow, last week was pathetic!) Really good to see you guys
  5. Happy Nervous, Birthday Guy!!!!
  6. Thought tonight's episode was great until that big WTF moment with Luke and Leia. Loved the scene with Dex and Ray Stevenson....wish that could have gone on a bit longer.
  7. lol, yeah, I can see how pot might get in the way of that...it might make the pieces a helluva lot more interesting, though! I"m envious of you guys who got some pot smokin' in back in high school. Nancy Reagan scared the sh*t out of everyone, so most of my friends wouldn't even consider it. I got in a tiny bit after I graduated, but since I could never do it now it would have been nice to have a few more memories.
  8. That's definitely the mentality that I want to see in whoever we have behind center...that's the type of attitude that Murray has really exhibited this year, as well. I want a QB who wants his name called in the high pressure situations, but I also want him to deliver. You know how high I am on my boy Murray, but if Jones can deliver in this regard then he's welcome on my team anytime. With the QB being the most able to impact the game (of all positions on the field), you have GOT to have someone with the mental game. That's why I had no problem putting TONS of stock in the Gruden piece with Russell Wilson last year. After I saw that, I was ready to go to war with that kid. That was one of the most impressive mental performances I've seen during an interview situation. The guy was breaking down terminology and plays not from his time at Wisconsin, but from when he was playing for North CArolina or whatever the hell team he played for before the transfer. He was sharp as a tack and gruden was enamored with him. There was just never any doubt that he'd find a way to get it done at the next level, and now he's the highest rated QB in the league at home. I would have loved to see him in red, white and blue, but nothing can be done about that now....can only hope that Buddy finds a way to bring us a winner.
  9. Sometimes it'll even go further, and all of a sudden the abusive jerks will come off as VICTIMS....they are told that they are suffering from some disease or disorder where they just can't control their rage, and the media or whoever will attempt to paint them in a sympathetic light....I get so tired of that crap. Everyone is a victim anymore...the concept of personal responsibility has gone out the window.
  10. Here's the problem...it's just like the issue with someone like Bledsoe. You can put up all sorts of numbers and throw TDs, but if you simply cannot keep your head, minimize mistakes, and make plays during the times when it's MOST CRUCIAL, then you will never be the answer. I think a great example is Eli Manning. Bledsoe was a more prolific QB than Eli in terms of yardage and TD passes....but Eli is MONEY during the most stressful, high pressure periods of the game whereas Bledsoe wasn't. Tony Romo is another example. The guy puts up all sorts of pretty numbers, but once he gets in the playoffs and the pressure hits, he turns into the lost stooge. Fitzy has a knack for making gunslinger plays and he can move the chains. But until and unless he is able to look the pressure square in the eyes and go all "Neo" on the other team, he's never going to cut it. Winning regular season games is great. But ESPECIALLY for a team like the Bills, it's all about winning a championship. We've had a sniff of glory four times, but never gotten a taste. If we don't have the guy behind center who can get it done, then we need to keep looking.
  11. Yeah he is...he can keep the Waffle House...I'm surrounded by those damn things and they can't hold a candle to Perkins!
  12. Love watching that...CJ is a star. No doubt about it. He's the most fun player to watch on this team in a very long time.
  13. Allison Baver
  14. We had to clear up roster spots for our eight kickers
  15. That's been my biggest frustration with him, and it's why I have come to the conclusion that Chan is not very smart. How many times has he relied on someone other than one of our stars in the most crucial situations? Brad Smith comes in and throws a long pass into endzone traffic when we can just run the clock and secure a win? Calling TJ Graham's number on a potential game wiinning drive when this guy apparently wasn't able to see the field earlier in the season because he wasn't "picking up the offense"? Keeping Spiller on the sidelines while we're in the red zone threatening against Miami? ENOUGH already! We finally have a couple of legit stars on offense, but Chan continually insists on thinking he's smarter than everyone else. Hell, as I said in the shout box last night, it's been obvious to everyone but Chan for WEEKS that CJ needed to be given more opportunities. So why does it take until we're 3-6, with our season already pretty much lost, and Fred Jackson to be injured that Chan finally gives CJ a bigger role? Clearly it's only because he had to! lol Why the hell couldn't he come to this conclusion on his own prior to yesterday? Against a solid Miami D Spiller carried the load and allowed us to win a game where the offense didn't break the plane of the goal line one single time.
  16. LOL! I'm sold! Looks like Amazon carries it....gonna order some today
  17. Whoa, I had no idea that existed!! it really doesn't change the flavor at all?
  18. People should be required to get a license in order to be married... oh, wait... Sounds like these fugtards deserve each other.
  19. That's brilliant. There is a huge market for non-coffee caffeine products.
  20. Bills v Dolphins these days is like a chess club nerd getting into a fight with the pimply faced kid in band who plays the clarinet.
