*ahem*...uh, sorry.

You know, as silly as this sounds, I'm COMPLETELY with you on the 2nd round thing. This is the type of kid I'd LOVE to have with any pick other than our first. I still think he'll be crap, but at least that way we're not invested into the kid to where we can't get rid of him. But God forbid Chan, Modrak and Nix use our frickin shiny new first round pick on him, I'm seriously going to bash my head into a wall. And I totally agree with you about the 2nd half. This is his shot! His receivers have truly screwed him so far, but I just don't think it's going to matter. He's already mirroring his performance in last years bowl game, particularly on 3rd down conversions. The guy makes a REAL pretty throw from time to time to keep us all good and teased, but don't fall for it...he's not the real deal, IMO.

I don't mean to be ugly (as they say here in the south), but Mallett is just too stupid to be successful in the NFL. Yes, he can throw it a mile. Big deal. He can't anticipate, he can't read defenses, he has no feel for the blitz (as he's proving tonight), and he has the maturity of a child. Why some TBD'ers want this kid so bad is beyond me...
-
These receivers are putting the nails in their coffin....if they don't put up points now, they're dead in the water come the 2ndhalf.
-
My friend, Mallett doesn't win big games. He starts off looking strong in the first quarter, maybe first half, and then he craps the bed. There is no mystery about this kid.

Ok....let me ask this.....if Luck declares

That reminds me of how happy the Bengals were when the Eagles picked McNabb in '99 so they could grab Akili Smith -

If we're going to do that, let's just go ahead and lose every game for the next 20 years, and then we can draft Andrew Luck, Jr! Then maybe we can actually stop talking about it -
okay cool, thanks...I was glad to see Sanjaya just chillin and going with the flow...he seems to have accepted his non-celebrity status quite well lol. I respect people who know they are sort of the butt of the joke but still go along with it instead of whining and bitching about it, you know? Ah, so that's his name lol...I feel like I've seen him a bunch of times but never had any idea what his name was. I don't know if it's related to "talk soup", but the original show was how I became a Greg Kinnear fan. I didn't watch a single show that they would feature on talk soup, but Kinnear made it so damn funny that I had to watch. I was really glad that he hit it big in Hollywood, cause he's much more talented than people realize. This must have been way back in the early 90s or so...geesh, time flies.

I'll have to check out that link when I get home from work, but I think you're right...is that a show with the guy from Community as the host?

Maybe not ALL bad, but pretty bad lol. I think some of you guys forgot, but we HAD Bledsoe here as our QB...how did that work out again? -
Don't forget oscar award winner Jennifer Hudson...who happens to look amazing lately the only thing I'll miss about Kara was her battle with bikini girl...that was some epic television, and she looked fantastic in that bikini! Yeah, I had checked the "no" box for you before I even started the thread I have to give Sanjaya credit...not just for having a hot sister, but for also being a good sport. People have bashed the hell out of that dude, but he takes it with a grain of salt and even laughs at himself. I saw him do a cameo on some cable show a few weeks ago...it was hilarious!

...except dumber and less accurate. Can't wait. You never know, man...there are plenty of other QBs in this draft and we seem to have a knack for finding talent in the latter rounds. -

Good. I hope he turns out to be the next Joey Harrington. Now we can get back to focusing on our #3 pick. -

I hope Edwards doesn't frequent this site....after seeing how many people we've already replaced him with in our minds,he's likely to end up hiding in the closet naked and in the fetal position for days. -

I'd give up next year's #1 pick as long as we got a 3rd or 4th back in the trade...that way we're not losing a damn thing cause we can't draft worth a crap in the first round anyway. -
He wasn't all that impressive in the first half, but the players who are truly winners are the ones who can get it together and make plays when it counts, and he did that. That being said, I don't see any way in hell we get our hands on him, so I refuse to even think about the possibility.

I'm a proud graduate of Temple University, and the Owls are definitely on the rise, but I live for my Bills of B-lo.

So basically, I've finally come on board with a lot of you who feel that Idol has already jumped the shark or is in the process of building up speed as they approach the ramp. Although I did tune in pretty much every week, the last two seasons have really struggled to maintain my interest. That being said, I'm actually glad that Simon and Kara are gone, and that we have some fresh bodies for judges. Simon just lost his edge from his earlier days on the show and he really just seemed to be there to collect a check. I've always been a huge Aerosmith fan, and Steven Tyler at least has the potential to be a polarizing and controversial judge, which may actually translate into entertainment. J-lo is as sexy as ever, but I don't know how interesting she'll be week in and week out. And Randy is Randy... I really do enjoy the process of taking an unknown and turning them into a marketable pop performer, though...can't help it. And it's still undeniable just how many past contestants on this show have achieved some pretty impressive success as a result of their appearances on Idol. So I'm gonna give it a chance and see how some of these many changes work out. In past seasons, what's made the show even more fun is logging on to TBD to see what all you guys are saying about the show and the contestants. Some of the threads we've had in the past have provided a ton of laughs, so hopefully we can rekindle a bit of that again this season. So no matter if you're a fan of the show or if you just love to have another opportunity to make fun of those of us who still watch this stuff, I hope you'll chime in from now until the finale some time in May! I think we're about two weeks away from the premiere, so hopefully this thread won't die out before then
