I agree with Probst, too. Russell was my favorite survivor ever, and his seasons would have been far less enjoyable without him. He sure gave us a lot to talk about on here, too! I didn't even really pay attention to Survivor last night. I hate these stupid recap shows, too, so I didn't even give it a chance. The few parts I paid attention to just showed how Ozzy is an overrated d-bag, so I lost interest. I did see Coach and Cochran interacting a few times, but I didn't hear what they were saying. I'll have to see if I deleted it or not. The only part I saw was the part where coach was assigning everyone a Greed god identity and he explained to Cochran why he was calling him Hercules lol.

I just started and finished watching Breaking Bad
ajzepp replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I wish I wouldn't have just read that, lol. I honestly don't understand why these writers admit this kind of thing. For someone like me, it just takes away from the show. I remember an interview with the Lost writers back before I had ever even seen an episode of that show. They admitted that they only had conceived about two seasons worth of material in their heads. Then it became a huge hit and they had to come up with some ideas quick. Well, although I LOVED the finale, I hated almost all of the final season, and if I'm being honest, it's still basically theories as far as some of what was going on in a few of the latter seasons, not just S6. But to me, the finale showed to me that it wasn't the REASONS behind everything that were what I should be focusing on, but it was the common experiences that the castaways shared and the relationships that they developed along the way. That allowed me to let go of a lot of the stuff that really had no explanation. (And I know a lot of you guys are passionate Lost fans, so I'm not trying to dredge up a whole debate again...lol) To me, this is Gilligan basically saying he's gonna find a way to pull something out of his arse for the final season of Breaking Bad, and that is just not acceptable to me. This is why I rarely watch scripted television, in fact. With movies, you don't often hear a director or writer saying half way through the production, "you know what? I'll be damned, but I have no idea where to go from here...." Some movies are good, some are bad, but at least they have a fully contrived story arc in mind before they shoot the first scene. Oh, and this writer is clueless...anyone who takes the time to really pay attention to the Sopranos finale will have NO QUESTION about Tony's fate. I know this because I was one of the people who DIDN'T pay attention when I initially watched it, and so I was left thinking, "wtf?" But those who paid attention to it laid it out perfectly, and when I went back and watched it again to see exactly what ques and clues were there, it all made perfect sense. David Chase just got a little more artistic with the last episode than people were used to, and at first it rubbed people the wrong way. But I consider the Sopranos finale to be brilliant. -

Good point. I should probably say 22-26+ touches instead of carries. That's more realistic. I'll be damned if I'm gonna watch any of these guys come out half-assed again like they did vs. Miami last week. If they aren't showing some fight this week, then it's *click* over to the RedZone channel for me. If we lose, we lose...but I want to at least see them care. -

I don't see any way we win this game either, but not sure it matters since we're obviously not good enough to compete for a SB anyway. So int he meantime, let's put this "CJ doesn't get enough opportunities" to rest and give the kid the rock. If he doesn't get 22-26+ carries, I'll be disappointed. -
Kamar Aiken WR signed to 53 man roster

I hope he's got a bit more physical presence than some of our other guys...at least for the first five yards off the LOS. -
Bills Could Avoid Most of Fitz's New Deal
ajzepp replied to judman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm with you on that one...I didn't see BArkley at all last year, but have had the chance to watch him a few times this season. That USC vs Stanford game alone showed what kind of player he is. Goign up against Luck, he matched him play for play and, IMO, made more clutch throws than Luck did. Barkley is a gamer, and I'd love to see him in a Bills uni. Also agree about RGIII, although I have only seen him play once..just theis past weekend against Oklahoma. What a huge throw he made at the end to win it... -
Speaking of adrenaline romps... Blonde chick? Or Farmers Dtr?

Bills Could Avoid Most of Fitz's New Deal
ajzepp replied to judman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Definitely...and I really thought he was showing that he just hadn't been given the chance to take a team on his shoulders, cause the numbers he was putting up were really impressive...and I love that he has more of a gunslinger mentality than he does a game manager one. But wow, talk about a fall from grace. I refuse to give up on the kid totally, but even just this three game stretch has convinced me that we still need to keep our eyes open for a long term answer at QB. Just not good enough, Fitzy...not for B-lo. -
I hadn't seen much of Barkley until this season. And based on what I've seen, the kid is a major gamer. He won me over during the USC-Stanford game. I know A.Luck doesn't have the same quality of skill players, but Barkley went drive for drive with Luck and even outplayed him. If Barkley is there, I'd love to see us pull the trigger. I have only seen RGIII play twice, but that kid is impressive, as well. Haven't seen enough of Landry Jones, but I know a lot of you guys are believers in him.

I hate feeling this way, cause I'm typically not one of the people on here who changes their views and opinions based on the direction of the wind like some of you bozos, but I'm relieved to hear this about the contract. I really like Fitz, and I'm glad we gave him the reigns this season, but he's really, REALLY disappointed me the last few weeks. I'm just not ready to hitch the wagon to him for the long term. -
This is some of what I've been struggling with the last few episodes. This season started out mad balls for me...I was REALLY excited for the first few weeks, but the last three episodes have had me watching the clock. I don't know if this was the point where Darabont was shown the door, but the show just has completely lost its mojo for me right now. As for this little girl, God bless her, but I'm at the point now where if she shows up healthy as a horse I'm gonna hve to call bullshiznit. Every time these people go off on their own, they get attacked by the walkers and sometimes barely make it out of the confrontation alive. Are you telling me some little girl can find a way to stay alive out in the woods all by herself for days at a time and end up being found/rescued? There's no way I'll abandon the show, but somethign fishy is goign on here. The last three have been totally different than almost every other episode, and I really hope they get back to what made this show great. Maybe this show needs more Tgreg? haha

http://www.mlssoccer.com/video/2011/11/20/goal-donovan-puts-la-1-0 Congrats, L.A.! They said five years ago that the Beckham experiment would be a failure, but instead it ended up changing the game - for the better! Enjoy it, L.A., and stay the fug away from our Bills!!!

There is one course in Scottland that is in the rotation for the British Open, and every time I see it I'm just blown away by it. It's got like absurdly long par 4s and 5s, windy as a mother, and it's not all nicely manicured like the courses here in the states. It also has one of the most beautiful views as you hit your approach on the 18th. The club house is just HUGE, you have the gallery spread all around the green, and it's just a huge, open scene. Beautiful! Sounds like we both have an interest in what's going on across the pond. That being said, I'd probably have to add a match at centre court Wimbledon, too...I have watched the tourney every year since I was very young, so it's a special event for me. There's a really good movie with Robert Duvall about the Rangers v. Celtics history and rivalry...interesting stuff!

Two things on my bucket list...go to a WC match, preferably involving the US, and hit up an EPL match.

Totally agree there! I used to go to the Kansas City Comets back in the mid-80s when the MISL (indoor soccer) was still in business. That was a blast! But yeah, as well as it translates to the tv, it's even better live

You got it, man! That's why I appreciate Gringo, LewPort, Meazza, and others, cause sometimes I focus so much on the NFL and college football that I forget about an upcoming friendly, or a qualifier, or some other match of interest, and usually someone will chime in with a reminder. Soccer is such a great sport, the main reason I don't mind when others want to troll it is because I honestly feel bad that they don't see it in the same way that the rest of us do! lol I feel like they're missing out on such a great game. But I'm proud of the way this country has embraced the MLS and soccer in general. Most of us agree it will never be mainstream, but it's grown past that of a niche and that's exciting. The MLS teams are able to attract some of the aging greats from around the world, their attendance is up, and they've been able to afford soccer-only stadiums in many of their markets....such as the one in Philly that I've been so enamored with, right on the water I've always supported the MLS from afar, but in a manner of speaking I felt that my taste was better than that for quite a while. When I do take in a match, I will always choose a Champions League match, or EPL match, over an MLS one. But tomorrow I'll be front and center for kickoff, and it'll be great to see how far the MLS has grown. I'm psyched!

Right on! Glad to have your enthusiasm in these threads I still can't believe we finally signed Klinsmann...I often even forget that it actually happened. I know that this guy will get us on the right path if they give him the time and the control that he needs.

Water does NOT prevent dehydration.....
ajzepp replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Exactly. They took their explanation too far to where it was completely asinine. -
That's how I know I"m starting to get more interested in MLS. I love when they play their friendlies against the European clubs, and I enjoy keeping tabs on the playoffs. The talent level is there that it's plenty watchable now, and next year I may actually follow the season start to finish. So glad this league is managed by smart folks.

Water does NOT prevent dehydration.....
ajzepp replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I thought Euros were losing their minds until I read the very last part... "He said: “The EU is saying that this does not reduce the risk of dehydration and that is correct. “This claim is trying to imply that there is something special about bottled water which is not a reasonable claim.” What they're trying to prevent is the water companies giving the impression that water products specifically and exclusively can prevent dehydration. They're saying you can also remain properly hydrated by drinking other products. Although when you really think about it, pop, iced tea, juices, shakes, etc all contain water, and it is the WATER component that is maintaining hydration, even though you're not drinking plain bottled water. Don't these people have anything more important to spend their time and resources on?
