I've never seen Horse Whisperer, so had no interest in seeing this. But the reviews were off the charts so I gave it a shot. It was actually really interesting. I still have no interest in seeing Horse Whisperer, though The TBD Shout Box on Sundays would be a great place for them to start, too! Definitely agree about Source Code and Duncan Jones. Moon has become one of my favorite sci-fi films of all time and I enjoyed Source Code, too. I need to see Souce Code again, though, cause I thought there were a few times when you may need to call "horse-hockey". It held my interest from beginning to end. Limitless wasn't as good as either film, I agree. I was entertained by it, though. Is Scott a big Horse Whisperer guy?

Okay, okay...that probably won't be settled...but I had to let you guys know about this since I haven't seen it discussed yet. I was reading my usual DVD Picks and Peeks by Harry Knowles on AICN.com, and one of the things I found mentioned was the new documentary The Captains. It's directed by Shatner (of course...the logical choice) and the great news is that it's available on NETFLIX streaming! I'm about to sit down right now and check it out...If anyone else has seen it, or plans to, chime in and share your thoughts! And just for the record...Kirk > Picard.

The Next Three Days was somewhat entertaining, if a bit unrealistic....but hey, it's the movies! Also, Faces in the Crowd was okay (Mila Jovovich) Queen: Making of a Night at the Opera was awesome. Card Subject to Change was good if you're a fan of the behind the scenes wrasslin biz Buck was a very good documentary about the guy that the film The Horse Whisperer was based on. Trollhunter was a low budget film about eradicating trolls in Norway

LOL, the "bitter lesbos"....

I think he's got a legit shot. Coach is playing a smarter game this time, cause he's not just caught up in his own world and completely oblivious as to how those around him feel. This time he's created a nice, relaxed atmosphere where everyone can feel welcomed and accepted, until just long enough when Coach can raise his game and, in the words of Senator Palpatine, "wipe them out...allllll of them". I loved what he said about making sure that the 7th person in the pecking order feels just as comfortable and valued as the first person. That was brilliant!

That sounds like the female equivalent to "I only read Playboy for the articles, honey." I agree about Let the Right One In. I enjoyed the remake, but the first film was superior, IMO. The ending of that, as Mark pointed out, was done much more effectively.

And?? Was his recommendation worth a flying fart or no? I'll throw out a suggestion for "Triage". It's a Colin Farrell film I saw a week or two ago. Good flick. Looks like "Limitless" was just added this week. It was one of the better popcorn flicks from the last year, IMO.

If we got Alshon Jeffrey that would be amazing.

Damn right! These F'ers need to stop selling us Bruce Smith Fatheads for ten bucks! I'm sick of this crap.

Cool, I'll have to see if that coaster is featured on any of the videos...I've seen a few Six Flags parks so far, so it's probably on one of them. Is it a woody or a steel coaster?

Got my replacement FAthead yesterday. As I was unrolling it, I didn't realize it came in two halves, so I thought they printed it wrong or something and I only got bruce's top half to put up on the wall. Thankfully there was another sheet stuck to it. I agree it's not a scam site...just run by monkeys.

Yep, we need to find a "mind" for the defense. They are few and far between, I realize, but there must be some sharp coach somewhere in the NFL looking for his opportunity. We dont' have elite talent, so we need to find a way to have elite scheming. I think that's the biggest difference this season with a team like San Fran. They have had lots of talent on defense for the past several years. But once they found the right coaching, all of a sudden they are 8-1, largely due to their defense. They were often lazy and undisciplined previously. Now they play good, stout defense and it's paying off. We need someone to come in here and put some brain power behind this D.

Yep, and don't whine that the other team didn't "let you win"

I sure hope your taste in coasters is better than your taste in football teams!!!

You just articulated one of the reasons why I like having the U-turn. This race is intense during the legs, and the pairs seem to rarly have time to talk to each other, let alone spend any time strategizing. That's just the nature of the race, and it's a big reason why we love this show. When you add in something like the U-turn, it forces in a bit more strategy and contemplation. They have to stop, take a minute to GAME play, make a decision that they HOPE will pay dividends, and live with their decision. That's why I dig it.

I really like how your kid thinks. I could imaging someone saying they want to RIDE roller coasters all day, but your boy loves them so much that he wants to CREATE them. His interest and fascination transcends the enjoyment of the end product, he wants to study them from the ground up. That's really cool

Good point about the consolidation. I wasn't sure how I felt about that at first, but even though I enjoy the challenges I enjoy the behind the scenes activity and posturing even more. And, of course, redemption island. Looking forward to a good episode!

YOu know it, brother!! OH, and for the record, I used to lump Harry Potter in with this Twilight crap. But I have no problem admitting that, although I really didn't get into the earlier Potter films, these last two Deathly Hallows movies were very good. Even not knowing all the details and names and such, I was able to follow the last two just fine and found myself really enjoying the ride. I've seen the first two Twilight films and those movies SUCK compared to Potter.

That was also the first time I ever thought I was seeing some sort of expression in a rabbit. That one with the black speckles had this look on his face like, "heyal YES I'm ready to jump some damn hurdles!!! Go around? NO FRICKIN WAY, we're goin' up and OVER this biatch!!" Yep...pretty sure that's exactly what he was thinking It was just funny, cuase once or twice you could see that the rabbit saw he (or she) could just go around it, but then they went right back to the middle and went over the top instead. Every other time I've seen these things, they were either banging the O-ring off another rabbit or just sitting there staring out into space.

How do they know it wasn't used? They said it was wet...that thing could have been soaked in Vodka -
Yep, if I were in their shoes, that's exactly what i'd be thinking. I'd be saving and investing my arse off during my playing days. Sure, go out and have fun, but for fux sake even the top athletes in the world should be able to have fun without needing to drop 25k

lol, I've even mentioned how much I used to love getting a side of gravy with my fries in the past whenever my buds and I would hit Perkins late at night...fries with gravy is very underrated...goes great with a tuna melt I know, I know...but hey, I already have one Lady of TBD mad at me...can't start a trend here!

Poll: The Bills' No. 1 Solution
ajzepp replied to Just in Atlanta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm a long time believer in the Buddy Ryan theory on defense: You always bring one more guy than the offense can account for. I like a high risk, high reward system. We don't really have the talent for it right now due to injuries, but nonetheless the only one of those options that appeals to me would be blitzing. Put Edwards' arse on the bench, tell Wanny to design ten new blitzes before Sunday, and let loose the hounds. I don't care if it's Batten, Moats, one of our CBs off the edge, doesn't matter. But you find a way to get the blitzer into the backfield, ring the QB's bell over and over, and sooner or later we'll get some results. Otherwise I would have liked the two TE set, but with Woods out our running game is going to be a bit handicapped anyway.
