Why not buy your first house at 56 years old

Thank you! Mortgages don't scare us, but a 4 plex down the road is a sound investment plan. Exactly -

We're buying based on location. It's the halfway point between the villages of Orchard Park and East Aurora. 7 minutes from Route 400. Nice and easy. As for the house, I was thinking of this huge expansion. But now that we're in it, it really doesn't need much. We would like to put dormers on the upstairs to give it 2 proper bedrooms and add a bathroom. As for the downstairs, maybe a new garage attached to the house for my wife during the winters. Thank you! -

Ok. The back story. I'm bipolar. Diagnosed and all that. Not a big secret as my life is pretty much an open book. Back in my 20's, 30's, and early 40's, any income I had went to bars, dinners, etc. Rent and such be damned! (Such as the life of one with Bipolar). Fast forward to the mid-'40s, and I found a psychiatrist who authorized a medication I was aware of that had good success with others with the same diagnosis. Now 8 years on that medication, and I could actually pay rent and the like. Not only that, but I can actually hold down a good job for more than 3 months at a time. So yeah. My wonderful wife and I are buying our first house together. She is a previous homeowner with her prior husband. But for me? First-time homebuyer. No time like the present yo.

I'll say, it's not a bad effort at all! I'm personally just not a fan of the blue helmet concept.

Oh great. ANOTHER Edmunds thread. Just because he signed in Chicago, it doesn't stop the party... Is Ertz far behind?

I moved earlier this week and now I'm less than 5 miles from the old/new stadium. I'll let you know if my beer falls off my desk. -
Boat rides with bands on the Miss Buffalo. Such a fun party. Horse-drawn carriage rides in Niagara on the Lake. Golfing at Bob o Links at 8 pm, and finishing your round under the lights.

Space. The idea of being weightless even for 5 minutes is super cool to me.

Just read the board and drink half a bottle of Jack Fire. Makes the world go around.

Good luck tomorrow!

Any Amateur Beer Brewers? Looking For Tips
Draconator replied to SinceThe70s's topic in Off the Wall
I went to a party today where the host has been brewing his own beer for the past 25 years. I'm only relaying one thing he was saying, is for New England IPAs, they put in massive hops after the fire on the beer is turned off. Like up to a pound of hops. The result is an IPA taste without the overwhelming IPA bitterness. When he found out about that process, he said that was everything that was wrong with brewing beer, but he tried it for himself, and he brewed up a really good IPA without the IPA bitterness, and he was sold. The beer he made for the party was CEL Pale Ale. CEL is College of Entreperenual Learning which my wife, the beer brewer, and about 35 others attended for the last 8 months through the University of Buffalo Business School, to massively uplevel your business. -
