  1. But, all we needed him to do was "manage" the offense. The expectations on the kid were unrealistic and now Mularkey seems to be wavering on who to go with. Was this not to be expected? Either you stick with the kid or you don't. This wavering crap is for the likes of Steve Spurrier.
  2. Amen!! Just take a drive down to the local Walmart and find yourself a hogger JP.
  3. against, argueably, two of the toughest D's in league. Granted last week Atlanta's secondary was a tad banged up. Losman will renew our faith this weekend. Bank on it.
  4. Lastly, this team may be one year away from being a significant player in the AFC East for the rest of this decade and it is in part to the excellent work done by TD and the efforts of the players on this roster and the additions that will be made in the future. ------------------------------------- This team has been "one player away" since 2002. I still have my 2003 paper that says the Bills had the talent to go to the SB that year. Too bad they didn't have the coaches to do it. I enjoy watching the Bills play but it's always the same old story....
  5. The Utah state fair is using Napoleon for their marketing. Link is below. On the left hand side you can listen or watch under "Napoleon's Sweet Ads" http://www.utah-state-fair.com/
  6. We have rules about who you can talk to regarding playing time in our league. And number one in that rule manual is that you are not to discuss playing time with the coaching staff at practices or games. You are to set up a time to discuss the matter with the coach. If this rule is disobeyed then your child can lose the right to play from that game forward. Trust me, you don't want to mess with this rule in our league. You do it, and your child is gone and everyone in the community hears about it. It's like wearing the Scarlet Letter. We have to sign an agreeement before the season starts regarding this. Now, if you don't have that kind of contract, in my opinion, you need to set up a time to talk to these parents. You didn't agree with the coach last year in my recollection, but waited until forever to say something about it. Wouldn't it just be worth it to have some type of meeting/open forum with the parents to discuss what is right and wrong this year without just rolling along thinking everything is fine? Even if the parents don't agree with your decision at least you will talk to them about it. I never understood why teachers have parent/teacher conferences but coaches don't. Aren't coaches in esscense teachers? Coaching is a bear without communication, and it sounds like both sides (the parents and you) need to hash it out.
  7. I would love to see it but that's a gigantic commitment for a man who seems very dedicated to his family right now. And quite honestly, I don't think this would be the best time for him to do it.
  8. Get in the D's face. Let them know it's time to step it up. No more balogna. Let the young guys know you are relying on them to make plays not just be out there. I cannot make a decision on JP at this point. Not to beat my belief in to the ground but we are going to beat the Saints, Phins and Jets and end up 4-2. What's even better is that after these three games we go up against Oakland in Oakland and the Pats in Patsyland. That right there will be THE test in my mind. IMO, right now we'd get our asses handed to us. But, if we can build confidence over the next three weeks we've got a shot in, at least, the Oakland games. I know Oakland hasn't done crap but they've got the tools to get it together. So build now to get the team upbeat and get some more wins for the stretch up to the bye week.
  9. I'm on the Crowell bandwagon now, he's gonna step up, I can feel it.
  10. Not a bad move in their situation. Rookie QB or Veteran QB..... See ya in a few weeks Vinny.
  11. This is almost as funny as Magic Johnson AIDS chants.
  12. I'm incredibly disappointed I wasn't able to make it on the board today. The loss of Takeo hurts bad. But, we know we have a deep linebacker core and we'll be able to bounce back against the Saints this week. Bottom line IMO, we faced two extremely good teams and lost. Whoopie doo. I was expecting it from Atlanta and Tampa is now 3-0. The next three weeks are all very winnable games. NO, Miami at home and the Jets with no QB at home. In three weeks we could very well be 4-2. I believe we will be.
  13. yeah, at home. They got slapped around last week by the Jets in their place and I don't think they are in the same league as the teams we got beat by in the last two weeks. I've been wrong before but I won't be this time.
  14. Oh, there is no denying we need work and are not a playoff team right now. But, I think we will beat the Saints and Fish which will be a big pick me up for a team that is wondering about it's identity right now.
  15. me too. Patience is the key. The problem is Bills fans want the string of years without a playoff appearence to end.
  16. I'm just wondering if people expected JP to be even average in his first year just because he wore a Bills uni. 'taint gonna happen.
  17. We played two SB caliber teams with very good defenses and got shut down. Next week it's the sieve of a defense, the Saints then the Fish at home. We'll be 3-2 and everyone will be happy again.
  18. Any coach who needs to call out his RB four times during a week has a problem with him even if he says there is no problem. And why exactly does the press need to know Mularkey has a problem with Willis? Who knows, it may end up working really great like it did with Larry Johnson but I think it's isolating and dimwitted.
  19. Was just listening and he had one of the Falcons reporters on. He brought up a good point in that the Falcs practice against Vick everyday so JP's speed isn't going to be a factor in this game considering what they see day in and day out. He picked Falcs 17-14 and said the key to the game, like most of us said here, is the Falcons ability to establish the run up the middle no matter who the QB is. He also said he thinks the Falcs will sack JP 4-5 times.
  20. no, it closed up a couple years ago. Now there is a restuarant/bar called Kinley's there now.
  21. Now I'm going to burn. mental picture was too funny.
  22. Tampa has consistently bottled up Atlanta (and so did Philly in the playoffs) by keeping a fast LB/DLineman on him and switching it up. We have the ability to do that plus if he's gimpy it's going to play right to our advantage with our #1 passing defense in the league. I think the game will be close merely because Atlanta is going to try and cram it down our throat not to the outside but right up the gut. I expect you to see Duckett get more of the carries than Dunn or an equal amount. Atlanta's run to pass ratio will be extremely lopsided unless they get way behind. But, I don't see that happening b/c the Atlanta D is very good and very fast. Underrated young secondary. I do believe the Bills can win this game if they establish the passing game. That's the key. If not, the Falcons will win. Are we going to get a prediction thread going?
