  1. Unbelievable. This team hasn't hit on a "gamble" since drafting Thurman.
  2. They were not forced to let go of Big Pat. Donahoe got an idea in his head that he could find a replacement.
  3. If their plan is a possession passing scheme than they're DOA. Tyrod is at his best playing a sandlot style with deep quick-strike options, which Sammy was perfect for. Trying to stuff this offense into a short-passing, tempo-based possession system is going to be a disaster. It'll be like what Rex did to the defense - negating strengths and requiring a full personnel rebuild. This is so depressing.
  4. It was a "huge problem" of the Bills' own making and there were better ways to solve it.
  5. I don't think either of those things are true.
  6. They already had two first round picks next year with which to address the QB position. Now they'll finally draft a QB and he'll be saddled with a bunch of joker receivers.
  7. I agree, Wayne. Keep the young core if you're building for the future. Trading Sammy is INSANE.
  8. Wanna be actresses is right - beautiful young women from all over the US especially the midwest move there in droves. Most of them don't have any money and are hoping to be "discovered," so I think you're only half right.
  9. I mean, I've seen it - there are beautiful women everywhere in that town. It's unbelievable.
  10. I cannot wrap my head around the fact that so many folks around here support these moves. I just don't understand it. I wonder if Buffalo sports fans and residents are so beaten down that they just assume that good players don't want to be in Buffalo, so it's just a matter of time before the good ones leave and "don't let the door hit you on the way out" if you even hint at being unhappy. Or maybe Bills fans have simply forgotten what it's like to be competitive on Sundays and have focused all of their energies and fantasies on the offseason and NFL Draft, so that they'd rather gear up for a super exciting draft weekend than have to watch their team fall short year after year during the actual season. Mark my words: the Bills are going to spend years - YEARS - trying to acquire another talent the likes of Sammy. To trade away an explosive, game-altering, defense-intimidating player in the prime of his career, after all that has been invested in marketing him and healing him and integrating him - it's just lunacy to me. And wait until you see all of the 4-yard rollout passes to fullbacks and plodding lead-handed receivers this season - folks are gonna start to turn on this trade, I firmly believe. This is going to be a boring, slow, easily-defended offense designed to limit mistakes. This is Jauron Ball 2.0. They're building a roster full of saints and soldiers, that's great, but where is the TALENT? One of the least-efficient WRs in the league.
  11. Well but actually - warmer weather and playing on grass are both better for soft tissue/flexibility, I'm fairly certain. So maybe that's what he meant. I used to hate L.A. but the last few times I've visited I've fallen in love. Great food, great bars, and you throw up a tennis ball and it's going to land on a "10."
  12. You're sick in the head man. Seriously, don't reproduce. America: the Series Finale. The Visigoths have crashed the gates.
  13. Better check your facts about who did the driving and murdering...
  14. That's my issue. Trade Shady, build around Sammy.
  15. Been saying it for years - focusing on Teams is a form of roster and coaching arbitrage that few teams take full advantage of.
  16. Establish a character-based culture of team players who commit to the process and put the greater good before their individual interests. Install systems that will help ensure sustained success and that don't depend on any one or two "star" players (i.e., a complete rejection of Whaley's "six star players" approach). Place a value on positions, types of players for each position, and specific players on the roster and stick to that value even if it means losing the player to a higher bid. Look ahead strategically to trends within the league, the upcoming draft and free agency pool, and the cap situation.
  17. I hope Dallas hosts it - this would ruin Jerry's draft event.
  18. You really are bi-polar dude.
  19. And if - IF - the owner has the patience to see it through. We don't know that, yet. In addition to being in a good cap situation going forward, (i) there are a number of good WRs hitting the market next offseason, and (ii) Brady is in the twilight of his career; by the time the 2018 draft picks start producing, Brady might be retired and the Bills may actually have a shot.
