He's an accurate QB overall Dave. He has ridiculous stretches of inaccuracy, often at key times in the game.
-
He's fine. He's a gamer, he can make all the throws from the pocket. His accuracy is spotty - he's a "streaky" player who will have Fitz-like games/months of staggering inaccuracy where you wonder what the hell is wrong with the guy. He's played at his best in highly detailed passing offenses with well-defined reads and specific coverage beaters designed by the likes of Shannahan and McVay. He can't elevate the team around him like Brady or Rogers - he's really more of a system guy. He's not athletic. I've never seen Cousins make a play and thought to myself, "Wow, no other QB could make a play like that." To my mind he's a lot like Tyrod but the inverse - they're both in the "middle tier" of NFL QBs; neither can win games on their own. Cousins (unlike Tyrod) can operate a traditional NFL passing offense but can't do much if you take away his passing weapons or put him under pressure. Tyrod (unlike Cousins) doesn't need too many weapons and can change the game with his legs and unpredictability, but can't operate a rudimentary passing attack. Basically we're getting rid of one form of "meh" QB for another - PLUS TWO FIRST ROUND PICKS. I'm not kidding, I'll stop watching them.

If they trade both #1s to Washington for Kirk Freakin' Cousins, I'm finally free of this franchise.

ESPN: Tom Brady’s Most Dangerous Game
Coach Tuesday replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Something very Tom Cruise-like about him. Megalomania, narcissism, some lunatic beliefs in superhuman status... I hate him. -
I just can’t do it. I can’t watch a couple of years of Kirk Cousins. It will kill me.
-
Yeah I was joking. Terry would have to fire himself...

Rex?

They’re gonna trade a high pick for, and give a huge contract to, Kirk Cousins? UGH

Jeff Fisher reportedly eyeing Browns HC job
Coach Tuesday replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm surprised he still wants to coach. There was a time when Fisher was a detail-oriented, forward-thinking over-prepared coach who was well-regarded as one of the best in the league. That time has long passed. He was coaching the Rams the past few years like he really didn't care - like Rex, he totally outsourced areas of the game. He needs to just walk away. -
A open letter to Coach McDermott

Please. Do yourself a favor and read this post out loud. Then ask yourself, "Does what I just said make any sense?" -
A open letter to Coach McDermott

I really don't expect them to come close to winning on Sunday. That said, if they somehow pull it off - I'll take back everything bad I ever said or thought about McD. He'd become a legend overnight. -

Maybe the worst letter ever written by a human? -
Zay Jones right now is a bust
Coach Tuesday replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He’s not a bust, yet. He just sucks. -
Tolbert’s fumble was inexcusable. McD was the one coach in the league who believed enough in him to give him this chance - and he rewarded him by almost throwing away the game. Time to retire, Big Mike. As for Reilly, he’s getting paid to sit on the bench and learn how to be a pro. Don’t feel bad for him. If he has ability, he’ll get a shot next season.

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency

He’s going to fire Mueller. Good God, this POTUS is a monster. -
Well this has been an interesting week.

Oh come on. The organization hurts itself without any outside help. We’re not talking about valuable trade secrets here.

Tyler Dunne Article on Sammy Watkins' Maturation
Coach Tuesday replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1) Is he really blaming the Adidas cleats? 2) Nothing in the article about Woods, which I found interesting. -
As we close out the Tyrod Era with three final games, I thought I'd take the time to start my first and only Tyrod thread. I came across this article about Russell Wilson, and reading it reminded me of Tyrod in many ways - if you sub out Wilson with Tyrod, and sub in a decent offensive coordinator like Bevell, you'd get a similar analysis IMO. The gist: a player who is hard to design gameplans for on offense, but equally hard to design gameplans to stop on defense. Anyhow, I wish Tyrod luck. Hopefully luck and good agent work will get him somewhere where he can be paired up with a creative offensive mind. Ty, it was fun watching you do your thing, as frustrating as it sometimes was - there were miraculous "wow" moments in there as well. Happy reading folks: https://www.si.com/nfl/2017/12/13/russell-wilson-seattle-seahawks-mvp-darrell-bevell

Tyler Dunne Article on Sammy Watkins' Maturation
Coach Tuesday replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll say it again: some day, some how, the Bills need a player development program. The good franchises have them. McD's program seems to be, "Let's bring in players who don't need any development." That ain't sustainable. Put it another way: the coaches who are going to have long careers are the ones who can get production and buy-in out of the Watkins and Dareus types. It's EASY to get production out of Tre' White, any coach could do it. Rex could do it. That doesn't distinguish a good coach.
