  1. 100% wrong, impressively so. Literally you can't be much more wrong than this. The reasons you can't yet evaluate Allen are the same reasons you can't yet evaluate Daboll - the surrounding cast is too poor.
  2. Horrible example. What else ya got?
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if Daboll leaves to take a college OC (or lower-tier HC) job at the end of the year. Not only has he been given zero support from the FO in terms of personnel, he hasn't even been allowed to hire his own staff - he's saddled with McD's horrible hires coaching the line and quarterback. He's being set up to fail and if he's smart, he'll try to save his resume somewhere else.
  4. You could say Zay would be willing to run through a wall for him - but after last offseason's incident, you'd need to be careful...
  5. Starting Nate Peterman is a war crime.
  6. Agree with the first part of this - Gronk actually committed an assault. He could’ve been arrested and charged - seriously.
  7. "No way to prevent this" - says only franchise where this regularly happens.
  8. Please, that's not funny. It's a war crime.
  9. He sure did. I'm sure this isn't what he signed off on - he was supposed to be the third QB acting as a mentor/extra QB coach to the two young QBs ahead of him. He was not supposed to get thrust into live action and pummeled relentlessly. He was enjoying a nice retirement, golfing and hanging with his kids. He's playing like he wants the ball out of his hand quickly.
  10. Had me laughing to myself for awhile.
  11. I thought this might happen - was actually wondering if the Bills would be interested given his versatility and the fact that he can play the Taiwan Jones role.
  12. "Current intentions" i.e., "if anyone else wants to make an offer, now's the time...!"
  13. You get those gems with BADOL - did you see the bit about Anderson's sleeve length being the same as Allen's? Killed me.
  14. I think McD is safe for sure. He's not a bad coach and seems to have a good rapport with the players. He may be young enough to adapt and he's been part of quality organizations. Beane, on the other hand, should be on shakier ground. He was hired to be McD's personnel guy - questionable enough, given that McD as a first-time coach didn't deserve to have that kind of reporting structure. And perhaps it's time to strip McD of his personnel powers, given the state of the roster - which effectively means canning his personal personnel person. That's what I would do.
  15. He's a great player - good for the Eagles, rich getting richer.
  16. Good job Texans - nice to see a team orchestrating a successful rebuild. And without having to tank, no less. Amazing, I was told that was not possible.
  17. There are things called player development programs which could address that internally, without having to expel the talented player. McD seems insecure to me.
  18. Edmunds makes that play. But Edmunds was out, because IIRC he was concussed on a helmet-leading charge by Devlin. After Edelman had speared a Bills player with his helmet after signaling for a fair catch (for which Edelman was penalized, but not for leading with his helmet).
  19. Zay is a replacement-level player made to look competent because of his surrounding cast. The next tackle he breaks will be the first one.
