Rd 2, Pick 33: WR Keon Coleman, Florida State
BillsFanForever19 replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll say this and i'm sure a lot of people won't agree because he has a cult on this board - though i'd have preferred Mitchell or McConkey, I do prefer Coleman over Franklin. Coleman has Franklin beat in every category to me but speed. -
Rd 2, Pick 33: WR Keon Coleman, Florida State

He wasn't my first or second option on who was left at WR. I'd have preferred we traded down a few picks if that was our guy. That said, I didn't like Josh when we picked him either so hopefully he turns into a stud too. I'd have just preferred Mitchell or McConkey. -
The Bills are on the clock: Pick 33

He may very well be the pick. But as for him always being "their guy" - he wasn't and isn't. "Their guy" to me implies someone that they love over others and had to have. It's clear with how they let WR needy teams have our picks to take WR's that they weren't worried which WR they took. I've been notoriously against McConkey. But that was in comparison to Thomas, Legette, and Worthy - who I felt we'd have a shot at. We did and we passed on them. At this point, i'd take McConkey over anyone but AD Mitchell. For who's left, I'd be disappointed if we went WR at 33 and it wasn't Mitchell or McConkey. If it's Franklin or Coleman, I'd prefer another move down and would only be fully on board if Mitchell and McConkey were off the board. -

If he was truly "their guy" - they wouldn't have risked someone else taking him by trading out of 28 and 32. The fact that they moved down twice and allowed teams that needed WR's to come up and get their guys said to me that they viewed a lot of different WR's after the first 4 fairly evenly and didn't have a "guy". -

Please stop frantically posting about Mitchell. Beane has passed on moving up for or selecting all the WR's you've obsessed over all offseason. I'd like us to take him, but I worry that if he gets wind you're on the Mitchell train this hard now - it won't happen 😜 -
Yes, his base is 20.9m. And restructure doesn't work. The cap isn't a myth. We have to be able to take the contract on as is first for the trade to be accepted by the league and then once we do that, we can re-structure. We can't take it on as is.

The problem with Deebo is he's a 28+m hit this season. That's even more than Aiyuk.

Bills Updated Draft Pick Spots

I'm still upset with losing out on both Xavier's in the trade downs. Those were my guys outside of Harrison, Nabers, Odunze, and BTJ. That said, the 6th for 5th swap to go from 32 to 33 was a difference of *59* picks. It's much better value than it seemed at first. AD Mitchell and Ladd McConkey still available. As are Cooper Dejean and Johnny Newton. All would have been good picks at 28. And now we have our 3rd back, will have 3 picks tomorrow instead of 1, and could move all over on Day 2 and 3. As painful as it was to not land one of my favorite Top 6 WR's and walk away with nothing, I'm coming around to the plan. Or coping. One or the other.
