Why? We aren't the only ones. Don't just read "Arizona Cardinals Coordinator" and assume it's a bad move. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/12/31/cardinals-receive-several-requests-for-ray-horton/

Actually, Ray Horton is kind of a chique name around the league right now. Good defensive mind. And let's face it; a Bills coach with corn rows is a pretty boss visual.

Didn't we want to interview him 3 years ago? I thought he told us to go fly a kite. What's changed, Russ?

Yeah, it was a little tough for me to read from Buscaglia that Chan said goodbye with tears in his eyes. I totally agree with JM57. The other guys I didn't like on any level, football or as a person. But Chan was a good guy and a straight shooter. On a personal level, i'm a little sad. But on a football level, this is what I wanted. It feels a little strange. Good luck Chan. I hope you land on a team that can utilize you as a stud Offensive Coordinator!

So lemme get this straight..... Ralph shows up in person to the end of the year Buffalo Bills staff and player holiday party. But he's going to say goodbye to Buffalo and the NFL as a whole forever via pre-recorded statement? That sounds a little ass backwards to me. I think if he were really leaving the organization or handing over the keys, he wouldn't have flown home to Detroit after the party.

Bills QB of the Future
BillsFanForever19 replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Personally, I hope Aaron Murray comes out early. If he does, he's my favorite. Mike Glennon and Tyler Wilson follow in that order. I say draft one of them, bring in Vick, and keep Fitz. But he'd have to waive the bonus, re-structure his deal, and realize he'd compete for the job at best (ala Tarvaris in Seattle). -
If we'd have lost, we'd be picking 6th. Since we won - we'll be picking 7th if both San Diego and Arizona win, 8th if one wins and one loses, and 9th if they both lose.

*vomit* I feel like this should be followed by "Now everyone pile into my van for ice cream because you're ALL winners!". Or better yet; "Thank you sir, may I have another?!". I'm not saying I want this team out of Buffalo or that you're not entitled to your feelings. But if you (or the Bills for that matter) are looking for a cookie, you're not getting one from me.

good measuring stick for Geno Smith

Ugly looking Safety. And now he's flipping out on the refs. Ugh. Not a good way to show maturity to scouts. -

Big time offensive pass interference. But a pretty TD pass. Turn it around Geno! -

Oh man. This is BAD. Like it's getting ugly and Geno's looking real bad. He's got to know his draft stock is plummeting as we speak. Real shame. Syracuse up 26-7. -
Really? You think that after possibly the darkest period in Bills football over the past couple decades; you see no changes going forward beyond us drafting a QB? Fitzpatrick, Gailey, AND Nix all return? I think that logic went out the window weeks ago. Especially after the Seattle game in Toronto. After that game and the Miami game (and especially if we lose this week), that can't possibly happen. Regardless of what skewed visions are out there of Ralph, Russ isn't stupid. He's the CEO, he's got Ralph's ear, and he's not pleased. But i'm getting off topic. Let's use your scenario then. How is Chan Gailey returning as Head Coach any better for us keeping Jairus Byrd or Andy Levitre? Have you not seen the total and complete uninspired football from the team and the coach? It's obvious that Chan's lost the team. Byrd and Levitre are right in the middle of it. Why would either of them want to come back to that? The coaching situation as a whole (regardless of what we do) is a big problem in us retaining these guys. We're talking about two guys coming off their first contract, in great condition, and very good at their position. They're primed to make a lot of money on the open market. And for winning teams (i'm sure). The only time Byrd commented on his contract situation was to say that he hadn't heard of negotiations going on and that he'd be open to coming back to Buffalo. But that he wants to win. That resonated with me.

I think we're going to lose one and we'll have to franchise the other. Let's be honest, at the very least, we're going to have a new coach in here. Which means completely starting over from scratch from the players perspective. Starting from scratch on a losing team isn't ideal for a premier free agent (which both are at their position). I don't think there's any way we put the OL Franchise Tag on Levitre. That's way too expensive. But the Safety tag isn't all that much. My guess is Levitre bounces and Byrd stays (whether he'd like to or not).

Pro Bowl announcements...
BillsFanForever19 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think you're going to see another year of zero Bills in the Pro Bowl. I'm fairly positive Jairus Byrd is a shoe-in based on the amount of fan votes he got and how many he will surely have around the league. C.J. Spiller is another player who i'm fairly positive we'll see there too. Even if he's not initially on the roster, i'm sure there will be a RB who won't go. Yeah, J-Byrd and Spiller the Thriller are my guesses -
I don't know if any of you were listening to Buddy Nix's Friday interview on WGR550 this morning or not. But Sal Capaccio asked if Nix had a chance to look at Matt Barkley, Geno Smith, or Mike Glennon as of yet. He replied that he did. Sal then asked him if he had anything to say about any of the three. His reply was interesting: "No..... but you're in the right neighborhood". Everyone knows Geno Smith and Matt Barkley are near the top of the draft as far as QB's go. So if Sal's "in the right neighborhood", then Nix isn't just looking at a QB. He's looking at one near the top *thumbs up*

Petition - FIRE RUSS BRANDON NOW!!!
BillsFanForever19 replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, listening to him this morning was painful. It's his job to spin things positively, but he came across to me like he was saying: "Listen, Bills fans are always going to buy tickets. No matter what we decide to do, you shmucks are still coming in. So I don't care what you say, we're staying the course". I, honestly, fear that they think they've already hit rock bottom. That the fans that are still sticking around are going to stick around no matter what. So as long as they're profitable (and they are), they're successful in his eyes. I'll give them the chance to right things at the end of the season. But i'm growing less and less a fan of the man. -
George Wilson is teflon coated

Here's hoping he's got some more music video payday opportunities. I always liked The Senator. But he's an aging overachiever. His best days are behind him and he's become a liability. -
Bills interested in Stanford Routt...again
BillsFanForever19 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So was this Schefter just speculating on good fits or did he say that we've reached out to him? I can't seem to find anything linking Buffalo to Stanford Routt anywhere (beyond his initial visit in the offseason).
