I LOVED reading this Q&A...we may have FINALLY found ourselves a QB. If we have a QB, we will have a chance in every game. He sounds poised, confident and certainly seems to be working hard. Color me truly optimistic for the first time in a loooong time.

I have stayed at this resort and sat on this very beach. Its a little sand/beach area along the lakefront. Maybe 5 feet wide of sand. Its very shallow along the edge. It seems, from what I read, that the parents were closeby and watching the child waiting for the fireworks show to begin. Its a common place to watch the fireworks. There was a No Swimming sign posted but nothing about gators when I was there. The problem may be that the gator may have been too used to people. Not having a natural fear of humans (maybe because the gator was hand fed at some point) meant this gator just waltzed up and saw an easy meal. I cannot imagine anything more horrific to happen to a family. My prayers go out to them.

If you use baseball as a guide (the only other sport where the bats/balls can be tinkered with to gain an advantage), he should be suspended. Pitchers are suspended all the time for doctoring baseballs, similarly hitters with corked bats. Most suspensions for this sort of thing in baseball is 8-10 games....not much considering the season is 162 games. Now the NFL doesn't want to look soft here and the Pats* are repeat offenders in rule bending, so I think Brady gets 4 games with it being reduced on appeal to 2 games. Just my gut feeling.

Mathis was described in one article I read as excelling at zone blocking. I dont think Roman's scheme uses zone blocking, more straight ahead mauling from what I know about it (which I admit is very limited). I want a G or T as much as anyone and believe it would be the prefect cherry to a great offseason. But I want a guy who fits our scheme seamlessly if thats possible.

To all those vaping in this thread...what brand do you use? Does it simulate the taste of cigarettes (I smoke Marlboro Red)? I was thinking of trying out the vaping as a replacement for the cigarettes and just wanted to see any recommendations.

We have playoff level talent at the skill positions, a playoff caliber defense, a young but improving OL....it all depends on how EJ progresses. We could be 4th or 2nd. No idea.

I think Sammy is gonna be good, but he needs to be Megatron 2 in order to justify this payment. And we are not just one player away either. Reading Peter King's piece this morning on it, Whaley sounded like an idiot fan rather than a GM who is supposed to be above the fray. The first item you pack for family trips is a fresh bottle of Laphroaig 10 year Cask Strength (my daily go to). When said trip lasts more than 3 nites, you pack a second bottle. Mind you....we will be out to dinner every nite drinking beer, wine etc., and grab a roadie from the hotel bar on the way upstairs. But hotel bars close early and I tend to be nocturnal.
