  1. CIN's DC, Zimmer, hired from DAL last season likely agrees with you. Needs work. The chit-chat here is that he might be a swing man. He certainly will make their squad. Zimmer has done a good job so far - out of the basement to #12 overall last season. He's working #2 Maualega at MLB, but him beating out Dhani Jones is a task. He will have to challenge Jeanty at OLB...tough job. B'gals caught a good one in DT Pat Sims - Auburn at #3 last draft. He was nicked up early on, but when in the lineup, did well next to Peko. Peko was #2 in DT tackles last season, showing up to play after CIN re-did his contract for big bucks. Keep an eye peeled for '08 #5 pick DT Jason Shirley from Fresno St., if he doesn't make the cut.
  2. Good points...
  3. How about this? Free electric service in perpetuity for every homeowner in a 5 mile radius around the plant. People would get in line...
  4. No surprise about the renewal. Actually, very clever on the part of the politicians by writing a sunset provision in the 1st bill. That meant that the lobbying, campaign contributions, the dinners to discuss this vital issue, would also have to be...renewed.
  5. His picture looks like a H.S. yearbook photo of Geo. Stephanopoulos.
  6. ? Loud and clear for me - to the tune of "When Johny Comes Marching Home Again"...sorta.
  7. Enjoy! http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0609/23956.html
  8. Shredded wheat with flax cereal balls, lactose-free milk, 2 celery stalks. And 1/2 carrot - mashed. One tablespoon of peanut butter. I spread it on the vile celery. If I don't call my shots correctly, I get to call my sh*ts the next morning. Pay attention to Daddy and eat better when you are young so you don't suffer this fate.
  9. The compassion of liberals is breathtaking...
  10. Or you are Jimmy Carter. His latest is trying to get Hamas to not be designated a terrorist organization. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/06/16...aza-discovered/
  11. NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, The NY Times, LA Times, the Washington Post, the San Francisco Chronicle, et al would be praising his cool restraint under pressure, and there would be some saber-rattle sound bites emanating from the Big O's twin teleprompters. Nothing to see here, move along...
  12. Did anyone see her on the tv, having to parrot the Big O's stance on the Iranian situation? She didn't look at all happy before the cameras. Now she can stay off the tube for a while. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see her bug out sooner than later (insert plausible denialability rationale here. Or no controlling legal authority, if you are in an Al Gore mood). http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2009/06/18/h...r-broken-elbow/
  13. I always liked Jon Gruden's post-game conferences. IIRC, it was John McKay that in response to the question "What do think about your player's execution?", replied: "I'm in favor of it."
  14. You could insert any NFL HCs' name, in place of Jauron. What would you have him say? ..."We blow, but be sure to go out and buy tickets and plenty of concessions".
  15. I learned something else listening to the radio show today. A fellow who owns a "sports" bar called in. Televisions, no juke box. He pays about $3K per year to ASCAP/BMI, because of commercials that use copyrighted music. He used a Bud Light tv ad as an example. He said that ASCAP/BMI routinely send people out to check up and get the royalty cash. Then went on to talk about the OH. liquor commission. In Ohio, you can't promote anybody's alcoholic product (there must be an exemption for neon window signs). If an agent were to spot that beer commercial playing on the tv, they fine the owner.
  16. No. He's not employed by the NFL, and they would have to be certifiable to raise a stink...
  17. People are chatting about it on the morning radio talk/call-in show here in Cincy. Seems she loaded up 17,000 songs onto a server or her own computer for others to pirate. And that the RIAA was going to settle for $3,500 (I've heard that figure or something close to it, before).. She refused to settle, according to one caller, because she wanted "to prove a point." For some reason, 24 songs were chosen as the basis of the litigation That's all hearsay, of course.
  18. The blond has an over-stretched navel.
  19. Good points. Points to mull over...
  20. Right...more pay. So they wouldn't object. Contracts would reflect 18 regular season games. Ticket prices, parking, concessions - all would rise. The union would never accept an argument by owners, about the lesser preseason attendance. and the owners would never argue such. They get their parking cut, concession cut etc. The NFL as it exists today is something that P.T. Barnum could only dream about.
