  1. FWIW, CIN put WR Peter Warrick in a game after declaring him out, several years ago. The fine was 10K back then. I've posted about Warrick in times past. He hit stride his 3rd year - too bad for him, that leg injury. He would have been something big. Same for Ki-Jana Carter. Burns me when folks call him a bust...
  2. Thanks - good post.
  3. I have an idea. Change these jack*ss almost-nationwide zoning laws that stops a man from putting up a fence around his city and suburban property. Like the old proverb said... "Good fences make good neighbors."
  4. It's all about the establishment of a Praetorian Guard - muscle for the coming one-party government. See the recent Senate plan with union bosses on planned "health boards". Union worker exemptions from punitive taxation http://capoliticalnews.com/blog_post/show/2453 The endless list of "czars". The elimination of secret ballots for union elections. It's inexorable...
  5. Since when is 1 in 4 odds (if true, and I doubt it) smart money? Belichek* was none of the above. As you mention, he had 3 time outs in his pocket. NE* had a 16 minute advantage in TOP and over 400 yards of offense. Brady was hitting and their receivers were catching - the curiosity here is that BUF led in the waning moments. Bellyboy* called the right shots. And I won't fault BUF's time outs...they were made in the heat of the battle, and it's easy to second guess after the final gun.
  6. "Never give up! Never surrender!"
  7. Another poster mentioned DE Copeland Bryant. I know nothing about Cortos' abilities as a LB. So since you have to fill out the ST, I guess they made that choice over an extra DE - I'm guessing that Bryant was tried on the ST (and you try every non-starter - see Jason Peters years ago) and didn't show much. It's a hard call.
  8. He was cut March 1, 2007 by the Bills. I suspect he would talk on the phone if he got a call. NFL $$$ trumps Twitters. I'm not doing leg work for you - this topic was about Bowen's analysis. I think he took a shot. Find your own alternative articles. I'm happy to report on CIN. Most Bills' fans like to hear the local skinny about one of the other 32 teams, especially about one that (unfortunately) shares several years' worth of misery and with some commonalities between the ownership. This week: They activated Andre Smith as the end of his 2 week roster exemption approached, and cut RB DD Dorsey. Search my posts - I made the easy prediction last week that Dorsey would be the cut, and mentioned that BUF should take a look at him.
  9. You people are being harsh. He looks much like one of the 20 valedictorians that my taxing school district high school dubs every year. They publish their photos in the local rag.
  10. The no-huddle as a more or less steady formation is best used by an experienced offense, with a mature OL. It's not for a team with a jumbled line, with rookies and new players, especially so with the noisy din of a road game. Forget this "hurry-up" aspect. It's fine on 3rd and 1. Otherwise, get your young OL on the same page, make sure your skill players know what's what - instead of trying to get that set by, trying to bark out over a howling crowd. Add in trying to shout plays from a shotgun while in the enemy's home field...
  11. She deserved an elbow in the chops. IMO, she was just trying to polish her own star.
  12. ...been there, got it...
  13. Which player that didn't make the 53 man roster would you put in his place? I've no idea myself, so I'd just trust the coach's opinions there.
  14. I think the NCAA has such a rule. Baffling...like their BS OT garbage (IMO).
  15. Adding my usual disclaimer about not seeing many Bills' games and so I try to keep comments about their players to a minimum - I did call up the roster and hunted down this and that about the current LB corps. It looks to me Simon, that they are going to have to scour the ranks of the currently unemployed.
  16. I'll have to go back and look at my DVD recording - but they seemed to have a run number of 2 tight end formations. That lets a D pay more attention to wrs.
  17. I find this a reasonable viewpoint, all in all.
  18. Bon apetit!
  19. It's an old expression. Used to tell folks that they are using invectives uncalled for.
