If you had $2 you could go to the Avenue Pizza on Paderewski and get a pepperoni pizza sub. Sauce, mozz and pepperoni on a 12" split sub roll, baked in the oven and wrapped in foil. I've never seen them outside of Buffalo. Is that another Buffalo food thing?

Well yes. Dollars to the city coffers as opposed to the county. But there is nothing to spend money on in OP other than Big Tree and Danny's.

I grew up in that neighborhood. We used to play football in the grassy fields along Memorial Drive. It's even worse now. If you did build a stadium there hoping for redevelopment you'd have a very long wait. Then again, the foot of Main, now Canalside, was nothing for a long time too.

I guess the ACC wants to be the new ACC or Sun Belt. No use for northern schools.

Fortunately Tokarski has been solid in a 1A role. Maybe UPL comes up later in the season for spot duty.

Not impossible. Just very troubled by the inconsistency on both sides of the ball. Does not fill me with optimism. I do think BGSU this weekend is a win (FYI, I have 3 tickets that I can't use now. Anyone want them, PM me.) Not confident with the last three games. But it's the MAC. You never know.

I think 6-6 will be tough. 3 very good teams on the schedule and I haven't seen this team play well enough to win against a tough opponent yet. But even 5 wins is good for the mess Mo Linguist was thrown into in Buffalo. Start judging him next year or really in two years.

People hate change. You look at Camden Yards in Baltimore and think who would be against something like that? I lived in Baltimore when Camden Yards was first proposed and there was a lot of opposition. There was newspaper columnist, John Steadman, who made it his mission to kill the idea. They all swore Memorial Stadium was just fine. Located in the middle of a residential neighborhood on 33rd St, it had all the charm of the ol' Rockpile in Buffalo. Even worse, parking was so scarce they would park cars bumper-to-bumper and door-to-door. If your car was in the middle somewhere you were trapped until a a lane to the street opened. And people wanted to preserve that.
