  1. Okay Orange fans. Showdown is Friday night.
  2. Round 2 tonight at 6pm on ESPN+
  3. "Jaqs" looks like jocks to me when I read it.
  4. Pretty much ONLY Birmingham Stallions are getting signed.
  5. Blue Collar U is the alumni team from UB featuring players from their golden era with Nate Oats. They also won last year's TBT and the $1 million dollar prize. Today they played the opening round game against Big 5, which is a team made up of Philly schools (Temple, St. Joes, LaSalle, etc.) After trailing all game, they rallied to win it 78-77. Still alive. (FYI, TBT uses something called the Elam Ending. Whatever the score is after the first timeout under 4 minutes left to play, 8 points get added to the leading score. That is the target number to win. So in this game Big 5 led 70-60. Big 5 only needed 8 points to win while BCU needed 18. This comeback was the largest Elam Ending comeback in tournament history.)
  6. Wife and I saw Oppenheimer in IMAX Saturday. The acting, especially Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. is tremendous. Oscar worthy. But as a whole, the movie wasn't at the same level. Also 3 hours is too long. Meanwhile my daughter saw Barbie and highly recommends it. It's not meant to be a kids movie.
  7. Since we are looking at USFL talent....
  8. The trio that made the Stallions back to back champs was QB McGough, WR Cain and TE Sternberger.
  9. What would you suggest? A hostage?
  10. "Pretend I'm a camel. What day is it? C'mon, say it."
  11. Was there ever a chance it would be no PSL?
  12. Didn't Josh say something to the effect that he's just likes expensive whiskey and golf in the offseason, and that he doesn't work out that much, unless you count his new movie star squeeze?
  13. Why wouldn't they?
  14. Did I miss something. When did RR become slippery?
  15. RR had nothing to do with football decisions, so I don't think Terry is any closer. And besides, he owns the team so he's as close as he wants to be. My concern isn't so much meddling in personnel decisions as much as how this reflects on PSE. "Revolving door" organizations tend to be dysfunctional. I had hope that PSE was entering an era of stability, with all three teams doing well, a new stadium going up and, hopefully, arena renovations on the horizon. Getting rid of a guy who was pretty much the face of PSE with the media out of the blue troubles me. I hope Terry had legitimate reason to do it and was not acting rash.
  16. But there's a way to announce it that doesn't sound like you took someone out back.
