I’m not defending the fan here, he’s a moron who got a pretty stiff punishment. But the players need to be held to a _way_ higher standard, they represent the league. If the NFL suspends players over allegations of violence (like Von last year), they absolutely need to suspend over hitting fans on national TV. i remember being at a Sabres game long ago where John Muckler got in a shoving match with a fan (of his own team!) He was suspended by the NHL for several games over it. The NFL can’t let this one slide by….

Crazy reaction from the board here… Lamar is 150% in the wrong here. Don’t get near the fans if you are on the opposing team. He should be gone for 4 games for this, just a shockingly dirty thing for an NFL player to do.

ESPN acquiring the NFL Network and the NFL Redzone
agilen replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
There appears to be a twist here - the NFL may be taking a stake in ESPN: https://www.cnbc.com/2025/07/24/nfl-media-espn-equity-ownership-deal.html -
Commanders and WR Terry McLaurin still not close to a new deal
agilen replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Weird how some people are lukewarm here. If we traded for McLaurin, we’d be instant Super Bowl favorites. He’s way better than any WR on our roster. -
I mean Kentucky is $40: https://www.sos.ky.gov/bus/business-filings/Pages/Fees.aspx . (Companies don't choose Delaware because filing fees are cheap, they chose it due to the legal and tax climate there.) But regardless of how much any state costs, filing for an LLC is a very tiny cost for your IPTV service, and has no bearing on whether the business they conduct is legal or not.

It costs as little as $40 to register an LLC…people do this all the time for BS companies. It does nothing to legitimize what they are doing, the rights holders have to bring the violation to a court.

20 years ago it was more expensive in real dollars to watch every NFL game. The only way to do that was to subscribe to DirecTV, which forced you into 12 or 24 month contracts to get a reasonable price, then they’d take a Sunday ticket price on top of that. Paying for TV for an entire year when you only want to watch sept - Jan was robbery. when ESPn flagship launches this year, the biggest part of this bill is now gone (YTTV), since you don’t need a huge channel package just to watch the few MNF games that aren’t simulcast on ABC. This means 2025 will be the cheapest it has ever been to watch every NFL game. Your app definitely does not have a distribution license in the USA for all of that content. It’s definitely not legal, but I don’t think you paying them is illegal; they are the ones committing the crime. So the worst that happens to you if the app goes poof one day and you gotta pay YouTube/espn/amazon/nbc/Netflix like all the rest of us…

Ovechkin ties Gretzky/ Most Goals/Breaks record 4/06/2025
agilen replied to jayg's topic in Off the Wall
Huh? NHL goals per game were an all-time high of 4.01 in ‘81-‘82, the year Gretzky had record 92 goals. The bulk of his career was >3.5 gpg. Ovi’s entire career has been between 2.65 and 3.14 gpg. He played in a way more defensive league than Gretzky, with better goalies and the neutral zone trap. -
The big question here is how Bass is still on the team when he misses 4 XPs in a dome Super Bowl…
