For all the "next Allen" talk, I can see it when he takes off and scrambles, but even in Josh's first game you could see him actually hit receivers from time to time. Hodgins was productive when the Bills used him as a big slot. Dorsey didn't want to use him there, Daboll did.

I'm a fan of this article, thanks for posting. With the context from this regarding his experience and history, I feel more like the problems he was having vs the Colts at RT are just a matter of technique and coaching more than anything. We did suspect this in the Big Sweaties info dump in the middle of the game reaction thread there: 2nd half: 1st half:

Take a look at Basham's tape from the Steelers game. He's not getting kudos but he was the Bills best lineman that game IMO. If that's what we're going to get from him going forward he's more of an asset to the Bills than as a trade chip.

Pretty sure he was making the roster anyway. They broke camp with Van Demark as primary LT behind Dawkins and Quess 3rd string, which raised at least one of my eyebrows. He hasn't done anything to lose a rung either.
