I pretty clearly stated the day they trade for Coleman that a top 100 third round pick was to much for a half season rental even with the low cap number. my worry as I stated and was thumbed down about 100 times was that he is a always hurt nagging injury guy. I was concerned he would get here get some injury and not practice and maybe miss games. people don’t realize all his time in Dallas he had nagging injuries causing him to miss practice all the time which drove the staff nuts because they weren’t sure if he was going to play, he usually did. In Dallas he had rib, ankle, foot, hamstring injuries and a concussion. He was not the same player week to week. now he has been in Buffalo a month and he is about to miss his second game and did nothing in one other game. I understand they traded him to help in the postseason so they will live with this. I just think a third round pick was too much. The fact that he immediately got hurt is a double whammy for me. Hopefully he is great in the playoffs

That’s nothing. Pennies in terms of the pay players get around the league. now a top 100 pick on the other hand?
-
whose making excuses? They are 7-2 in a rebuild year with what I was told is the worst group of wr in the league. I also read today here that Buffalo has the worst starting safeties in the league. So that seems like an amazing job from the coaches having the worst wr and safeties in the league and currently sitting at the 2 seed halfway through the season, exactly where they finished last year. also, technically the defense is not healthy.

he has been injured/hurt all summer and fall it seems. If cooper misses the game sunday then after 4 weeks of being on the team what is the difference between cooper and samuel?
-
probably because they like him and they don't want to be in the position in a few weeks when Carter is ready to come back to have to cut ankou. if they just keep him on the ps for a few weeks and see how jefferson and phillips play they can make a decision on who is staying after the bye. When Carter comes back someone is getting cut. Johnson, jefferson or phillips. Same for when or if Smoot is able to come back.

It's a conference game and these are going to be huge at the end of the year. Considering the upcoming schedule winning this game seems pretty important to me.

as far as being inferior the honest difference between these two teams I think is Josh Allen. Defensively they are almost identical in production and style of play. Both have forced 15 takeaways and live in zone. They have some young wr, a good offensive line and a good back. They just don't have Allen.

I have to say I am beyond shocked at the laid back attitude of Cooper just not playing here. Not saying you individually just as a whole it seems all of a sudden the bills are a hallmark movie and not a bottom line business. A few weeks ago the WR here were the reason the team was going to be in a rebuild year and miss the playoffs. If cooper can play he damn well better play considering the price they paid for him. Samuel is not 100% clearly yet he suited up and played last week. I guess the question is, is cooper injured or hurt? Hurt guys play injured guys sit. If he is injured I wish the team would just say yeah he is injured and needs time to heal, it is not like its affecting preperation from opponents.
-
Isn’t that what I said? He is here to fill the spot on the roster. and then as I said hopefully Coleman does not go to ir.
-
Clearly cooper is out again and they added Virgil to fill the vacant spot they had on the roster. hopefully Coleman doesn’t go to IR
-
No. Its november 8th. Why would they go that route at this point when it would take like a month to get him ready to go anyway.
-
Technically, he took an extra step, launched and led with his helmet. Three strikes. Not dirty though, just a penalty. A dirty hit to me is one that has the intent to injure like in the old nfl when guys would hit each late or low on purpose looking to knock guys out.

https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/michael-pittman-jr-ruled-out-for-colts-bills The Colts will not have one of their top receivers when they play the Bills this weekend. Head coach Shane Steichen ruled out Michael Pittman Jr. (back/finger) in his Friday news conference. Pittman has been considered week-to-week with his back injury, but has not been able to practice over the last three days. “He’s been battling like crazy,” Steichen said, via Nate Atkins of the Indianapolis Star. At this point, the Colts are not considering putting Pittman on injured reserve.

If he learns to twerk he could probably have a top 20 hit considering the current state of pop music.

Fun look at the similarities between defenses this week from Joe Buscaglia. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5907311/2024/11/08/bills-colts-keon-coleman-injury-amari-cooper/ The Colts’ and Bills’ defensive philosophies are Spiderman-meme-esque When the Bills and Colts take the field, the two defenses are close to mirror images in their approach. It’s all about a heavy emphasis on getting pressure from the team’s defensive line and an all-for-one, one-for-all coverage style to get opposing offenses off the field. According to TruMedia, the Bills have one of the lowest blitz rates in the NFL at 11.1 percent while playing zone coverage 73.6 percent of their snaps. The Colts’ blitz rate is shockingly similar at 12.2 percent, though the Colts actually play zone at an even higher rate than the Bills at 79 percent. The Bills and Colts also play a heavy amount of Cover-2 and Cover-3. So when the Bills’ offense is preparing for the Colts’ defense, there is likely to be a lot of principled familiarities in what the offense saw every day in training camp ahead of the season. However, there is one primary difference between the two from a personnel standpoint, and that could lead to an advantage for the Bills on Sunday.

The bengals had their chance to be the 23 bills and go on a run at 4-5 ish.....Now they are in a tough spot for that 6 or 7 seed. They finish the season home to Denver and at pittsburgh. Both games might be games to stay in the wild card race for each of the 3 teams. The chargers are in a good spot to steal that third wild card spot from the afc north.
-
seems pretty obvious he is not 100% and is just playing through whatever is bothering him every week. if he is healthy then he should be on the field for about 75% of the snaps this week and catch at least 6 balls.
-
it wasn't dirty but it was not a needed hit since coleman had already dropped the damn ball. Sucks he is hurt. Listening to mcdermott talk to sal this morning it sounded like more of a long term thing.
-
that is perfect because this team is built to win the ugly ones. They need to win T.O.P., score 21 points and get a tipped ball for an interception or a fumble to give them a chance to get a two score lead in the second half. This could be a 21-17 or 24-20 type game where the colts have the ball late and we are all hoping for them to get a stop to win.
-
I disagree. If he can play the team would play him. He is not even catching passes in practice. Essentially he is going to be here to help them win in the postseason. If he doesn't then they burned a top 100 pick to help them win the division which they didn't need help with. If coleman is out this week and samuels is active but still banged up and cooper doesn't play that is not a good sign and exactly what I was worried about in making this trade. again if he is healthy and makes a difference in the postseason his regular season will not matter.
-
for the time being they are both looking up at pittsburgh. If the bengals win tonight and the steelers win sunday well the Ravens are in a dogfight to win the division and not to get to deep in the weeds here but if the Ravens were to lose tonight and then lose next week at pittsburgh....Well baltimore is probably playing just to stay in a wild card spot at the chargers on monday night football in a few weeks. that is a lot of stuff happening but if the bengals win tonight they have a split with baltimore and it opens the door for the ravens to step on the banana peel going forward.

The bills and really ugly losses is kind of a head scratcher. Its happened about two times in a few years or so.
