  1. They have the option of the franchise tag also. the bills rarely use it but it’s there if they want to.
  2. Sometimes thats true. She knows her stuff and is probably guessing that if they were interested in him before the draft they may still be interested at the right price.
  3. Based on what? The guy has gotten better in each of the last two offseasons. What evidence do you have that Cook has not and is not working to be a better blocker/pass protector?
  4. Once Upon a time Henry was poor in pass protection.
  5. Mina Kimes just casually throwing Buffalo in there.
  6. The bills could not handle his salary I do not think in a trade situation.
  7. You want James Cook to take less than Josh Jacobs took in march of 2024? The NFL is a production business. James Cook has produced in his two seasons starting. Compare Cook and Jacobs 2023 and 2024, Cook became a starter in 2023 its the fair place to start. Cook has 3 rushed for 3 yards less than Jacobs in 90 less carries. Cook has accounted for for 2 more TD's total in the regular season than Jacobs and in the postseason he has 2 more TD's then him. So again, The NFL is a production business. There is no way in which the Bills can offer James Cook less money than Josh Jacobs received 15 months ago. Throw in the fact that Cook is younger and has less wear and tear plus he is a perfect fit in the offense. The Bills are in a tough spot here. They decided to pay under performing Defensive players and WR's who produce less than cook does. Cook deserves a raise and I hope he stands his ground. I guarantee you every player in that locker room does too. Letting Cook walk over money when a lot of under performing Defensive players were resigned irregardless if they took less or set the market will draw some double takes from players in the locker room. and yes I understand RB has been deemed the position you don't pay because so many teams have used RB by Committee the last 20 years or so but that should not supercede The Bills as an organization doing what is best for the team to win in the near future. This type of thing is not one size fits all unless you are a backwards hat wearing youtube scout who obsesses over groupthink. The Bills need to get this done ASAP. I love Ray Davis. I think he will be even better this year but Cook put the work in and his skillset is unique. He should be just viewed as an offensive skill player the way they turned OLB into "Edge" etc.
  8. Well usually these guys end up with former coaches because of the familiarity and the amount of risk involved. So His DC's in GB were Mike Pettiine - Currently the Assistant Head Coach/OLB Coach in Minnesota Joe Barry - Currently the Linebackers coach and run game coordinator in Miami Secondary coaches in GB Jason Simmons - Currently the defensive pass game coordinator in Washington Jerry Gray - Currently the Assistant Head Coach/Defense in Atlanta Joe Whitt Jr. - Currently the Defensive Coordinator in Washington.
  9. Signing this guy for the money he will be asking for would be the cherry on top of a terrible free agent defensive off season. this guy standing on the sideline next to Bosa in January would be a punch in the nuts this franchise doesn’t need.
  10. Very odd reasoning. i believe most teams have all of their front office and scouting department in their media guide and on the website. The bills do not and it’s really odd to me.
  11. Generally teams include their entire scouting department in their yearly media guide. here is last years media guide https://static.www.nfl.com/league/apps/league-site/media-guides/2024/BUF.pdf the bills for some reason do not put their regional or area scouts in their media guides. they just release updated and changes to staff from time to time like this one. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-announce-six-changes-to-team-s-scouting-staff
  12. Man you guys are letting this one poster get your goat in this thread. just ignore it and move on. The posts are comical.
  13. This thread is awesome. not only does Kincaid suck as many here have said or implied ad nauseum but now Josh Allen is a lazy bum who doesn’t work out enough and is not prepared enough. the bills might win a game or two if we could just get rid of these guys.
  14. Side not here. H-E-B Jalapeño saltines will change your life.
  15. Big Market teams are always going to draw more viewers. The Big stands for people, like that is where all the people are and traditionally in each sport the big markets have had the best teams or most memorable teams/games. people were complaining because the yankees and dodgers were on espn sunday...but... ESPN drew 2.73 million viewers for Sunday's Dodgers-Yankees game. Most watched Sunday Night Baseball game on ESPN in seven years (2018, Yankees-Red Sox).
  16. Jerry Jones is not a marketing genius. He bought a team at a time when they were at their lowest level and actually were irrelevant. They had the biggest fan base in maybe all of sports and still do. They nailed their first few drafts which were run by landry's old people and jimmy johnson. They built a great team and won a lot in the 90s. All the cowboys have to do is show up and they get attention. The national media has been writing the same stories about the cowboys since jerry bought the team in 1989. Nothing has changed. They have a giant fan base with buying power because it spans all generations. They get national ratings on tv because people want to see them lose. No one in Dallas has been a marketing genius since Tex Schramm invented the cheerleaders and requested to play every thanksgiving. Jerry came into the league a stubborn bully doing whatever he wanted and strong arming the leadership in the league to his demands. His one claim to fame is the tv money. that is his one thing he has done. He hired jimmy johnson and took the tv deal and ripped it up and got fox to buy the nfl. Everything about the jones family and the cowboys sucks the big one. Jerry Jones is an epic scumbag. He made his original money the old fashion way though fraud and ripping off taxpayers. He and his buddies and their Arkoma natural gas buisness did a sweetheart deal with arkla the provider of natural gas to resident of arkansas and louisianna. They ripped off taxpayers with excessive charges and the only way to stop the sweetheart deal he had was to buy his company. So jerry sold his gas company for 174 million in 1984 because the state basically had to get out of the deal it signed with jerry through jerrys pal at arkla. Jerry walked away rich and used the money to buy the cowboys and the state (arkansas public service commission) sued his company for fraud but he walked away scott free without a single penalty. His pal who gave him the sweetheart deal (Sheffield Nelson) lost his run for governor in 1990 because of the fraud that was exposed by him and jerry. Now jerry is one of the richest people on the planet.
  17. It’s was the summer of 92. I think the stuff was brand new. I think gnc was too. those insane weight gain powders they sold were comical. Yes man you nailed it. I thought at 48 the bills were going to invite me to OTA’s this year.
  18. Which safety spot do you see Forrest playing?
  19. I remember in high school trying desperately to gain weight for baseball. I worked my tail off. I just could not gained weight. I was way too active. I went to my doctor because my parents made me, to see which weight gain supplement and creatine he would recommend to help me add weight with my lifting routine. He was a younger doctor and a former college athlete, he looked right at me and said never put that stuff in your body, ever especially the creatine. That was that. he really didn’t appreciate my joke about buying the one called the Russian bear at GNC which was 4000 calories per shake. That was a real product. anyway, multiple high school friends took both and made huge gains. Meanwhile my 5”10 skinny azz worked like a dog to get to 160 pounds. that was a 90’s thing and the current thing is testosterone products. Anything that advertises like four times on an hour on sports radio stations should be avoided at all costs. anyway, hoecht is just a guy and he is going to have a hard time living down the ped thing without an abnormally high productive season.
  20. Umm. its like 10:30, Memorial Day 2025 and you are posting that Josh Allen, the league MVP is skiddish in the pocket….? did you drink a whole case of OV Splits at the cookout today or something.
  21. Tuesday nights on HBO (MAX)
  22. It’s so strong they are looking at bringing in a veteran outside corner to play opposite bland until diggs and the rookie are over their injuries. so that energy will be pretty interesting when he is sitting behind Stephon Gilmore.
  23. If he skips OTA’ s then yes that’s an angle that will be tackled. Hopefully he is at ota’s
  24. One of the online editors was active on twitter a few years ago. They are getting hard drives up until about 4 hours before air time and like 3 hours before they lock picture. The Bills and any other team have never been involved in anything with the editing. I believe there are agreed upon terms before this starts and through the years has been mastered essentially. There is never any game plan discussion or reveals visually of plays etc. I believe all scouting and trade discussions, things of the sort are not used unless cleared ahead of time also. as an editor myself, sitting here at the moment in front of Avid Media Composer it would be 110% impossible to work with such tight deadlines and have input from various people who work for a team. Its just not possible. I am sure The various directors/EP's and Online Editors get plenty of feedback from the team and the league. Last year's hard knocks was boring. There was literally nothing interesting. These must be a lot fun to be on the editing crew, the montages look like fun. The amount of B Roll and clips in the bins by the time they get to the 3rd or 4th episode must be overwhelming. and just to nitpick something you said in an earlier post, They absolutely have pre production meetings on storylines. While the episodes will be cut organically allowing the narrative to fall into place if you will, the key points / main story has been mapped as an outline in some regard. They always follow the same formula. Attach a narrative to an undrafted free agent. Attach a narrative to the team as a whole and their place in the league, this is where all the stadium, chicken wings, niagara falls, Pegula family story will be. Attach a narrative to Josh Allen....all encompassing. Dive into Key free agent signings and players who were drafted. Then they always have the kooky guy, Dion dawkins is perfect for this....the all business guy, Milano is perfect for this. Traditionally they will go the route of having a Veteran who is trying to hang on juxtaposed to a younger player taking his job or pushing him....perfect spot for a tre,Benford, Hairston story or Cam lewis fighting off hancock. etc. And of course they always have the my mom pushed me in a wheelbarrow up hill 10 miles every morning to every practice story for the sentimental stuff and the bills have the most intriguing sentimental story on the roster maybe ever in Damar Hamlin. So all that to say, the camera crews will be directed to go get lots of stuff. Then the editors and producers will work it into an organic story in the edit as they all are. There is a ton of story in the buffalo bills. They have 100 year old marv levy, Cancer survivor Jim Kelly, A celebrity newlywed, an incredible fan base, a nice setting in rochester (pittsford) etc. Then of course guys get hurt, guys get cut etc. If they have to do this hopefully it is better than the bears last year, that was terrible.
  25. The end of rich stadium and the giant palace being built across the street will be a storyline. The Film crew will be with them for the preseason and will no doubt spend some time with the front office in charge of the stadium. They are going to make it look incredible. They did similar things in 08 with the cowboys on hard knocks with that being the last season at texas stadium. This is called marketing and when consumers see things on tv they like they want to buy it or be a part of it.
