No thank you on beckham. no more old players and especially old players with enormous ego's.
-
agreed. IMO young wr this year and moving miller next year allows them to be aggressive and sign a difference maker or two on the defensive line/offensive line.
-
here is an outside the box idea. 28 and next years 1 to Dallas for CeeDee Lamb. Dallas has been dropping hints at not wanting to sign him long term with a possible rebuild next year with a new staff. He is a do everything wr, extremely arrogant but he plays all the spots, is a YAC guy .....but he needs a monster contract. A rookie allows them to next year spend money on defense.
-
probably easier to make a deal for 9 with the bears...but those top wr's may not be there.

I think I am going to go to the bills texans game in houston. It's going to be fun. Can't wait till Diggs talks crap about allen for the 6 month lead up to because that is what will get him the most attention.
-
Michael Gallup would be a smart safety net here. He is big and basically a slower version of Gabe Davis. He was not used much last year but he is excellent with acrobatic catches on the sideline and is good at bodying people and going up and getting balls. I cant imagine he would get paid a lot. Sounds like he is visiting the steelers at the moment who are going to use him in the same way, big body x wr outside.

man i just checked and backwards hat guy on youtube is deep in the analysis of this.
-
again, for the millionth time. The Chiefs win championships because their defense is excellent in the post season. That is the opposite of the Buffalo Bills, who by the way score more than anyone on the chiefs even without the should have been game tying missed field goal.
-
I would just like to say The Yankees beat the Astros so bad last weekend the entire city panicked and the texans made this trade. 😀
-
Very Well said.
-
when the bills build a defense that wins games in the post season wr wont even be a talking point here anymore.
-
this is nonsense. The Window is always open if the O line is good and Allen is healthy. Whether or not this group ever wins a championship is 100% on the defense which always falls apart and makes critical mistakes. That is a Sean Mcdermott issue.

No one is going to like what I am going to say but, This reminds me of Tony Romo and T.O.....Now I am not comparing players just the situation. Allen is light years better than Romo and Owens was much better than Diggs. the similarity I see is Romo was a young player and could not tell Owens to cool it with his nonsense because Owens was a hall of famer who played with steve young..etc.....Romo had to sit back and let him say whatever he wanted at all times and tolerate his act on the field because if he dared to put him in his place the media would have swooped in and started a feud....(which actually happened in 08) all the new wr will be forced to listen to Allen, Diggs was never going to because he is an ego maniac and is older than Allen even though he has never really accomplished anything Diggs carries himself like he has. it sucks they didn't get at least a pick for this year and moved a fourth rounder along with him. The trade feels like the bills were desperate to move him because he is such a weirdo ego maniac who always speaks in code and can not ever credit anyone else. so this seems to me like they are now going to package that 2nd rounder next year to move up in the first this year....or to get a 3 or two 3's this year.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
MikePJ76 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep. I remember my friend getting tickets before the cowboys stadium opened in arlington, he had great seats at Texas Stadium in Irving...but in 08 when he went to the virtual sales pitch which visualized your seat...he realized his seat had a 35k psl and the price per seat for every game plus the two pre season games was 350. Then to top it off the cheapest parking pass you could buy was 50 dollars to park in a secluded lot like a half a mile away. The closer lots were 75 to 100. at least there you could finance the PSL over a 30 year period and just make a small yearl payment. If what I am reading is correct and the bills are asking fans to pay up front that is crazy. total insanity but that place in Arlington is sold out all the time, usually with 25k or so opposing fans however. -

I hear ya and that is what I am saying, what makes buffalo unique is the people. Its always been the people. Embracing the weather, the under dog role etc. Its all great. I have some great memories tailgating there. Watching my drunk friend climb the rock climbing wall and ring the bell in order to get one of those giant Flutie Bars that was like a big nestle candy bar was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. That was the bills jets december 13, 1998. That season was so much fun. Pulling into the neighborhood the week they played the dolphins and seeing Dan Marino dummies hanging from peoples trees was pretty funny! You don't really get those atmospheres in most places. Once the PSL's change the fans in the seats there is no going back. and the worst part is the people who will have to justify the price increases by selling half their games which means you will have huge portions of visiting fans in the stadium which really isn't a thing I am aware of there. It is in all the PSL stadiums though. -

Yes but I think a bigger reason for them is it guarantees sell outs. If all the PSL's are sold they can declare the games sold out sans a few seats they keep for the general public long before the season even starts... there was a time when home teams would get blacked out because they had not sold out the game and teams would lose money. The PSL guarantees this never happens again. They suck, they are anti fan and in a city like Buffalo it's an incredibly unfair ask. It is going to change the fanbase in the stadium for the worse. One of the great things about buffalo is that it is filled with blue collar real people. When the cocaine and boob job crowd (as they are called in LA and Dallas) show up that is when your home games go to crap. -

well i am confused...or maybe you are. I do not follow what you are getting at. My point was with a PSL here you get access to tickets to other events....and maybe buffalo doesn't care about soccer or college football but I assure it is huge in this market. So if you were a cowboys season ticket holder you would have first dibs at tickets for these big events. There are like 9 million people in this market. If you have a psl you can recoup some of your money by buying tickets to events like the cotton bowl, other college games, taylor swift concerts...etc....and selling them on the secondary market which is what everyone does. Personally I think that sucks completely but that is what happens. anyway. The original point was having to pay these high PSL costs in Buffalo makes zero sense while in other markets like DFW, NYC, Los Angeles etc. at least there is some other perk to having the psl. -

I live here. I drive by the dumb place all the time. They have events constantly out there. Not to mention now with the new ballpark for the rangers they built another complex that is all sports bars and its huge. Both stadiums and the complex (Texas Live) are right down the street on the same block and the old ballpark, the nice one is still there also across the street. They may only have a few events scheduled at the moment but its a constant thing. Plus you throw in the high school football state championships which are huge here and college bowl games and kickoff games. I have no idea what it does for the local economy nor do I care...if it fell over I would laugh. I know tarrant county and the city of arlington own the stadium. I have to imagine they are making something, hell for the taylor swift concerts the last few years alone. Believe me there is always stuff going on out there. I think they have boat shows and other nonsense like that there too. -

I told everyone. PSL's are the devil. They exist to guarantee the home team has a sellout. Owners have rigged it so fans can never just not show up and show their displeasure with the team/owner. They are incredibly expensive and in a market like buffalo almost useless. In Arlington they have events multiple nights a week. tons of concerts, soccer, wrestling, boxing etc. When you have a PSL in DFW you get first dibs on tickets. What is the advantage or point in Buffalo, NY? The occasional summer concert? Owners all need to be dealt some reality but they use fans love of the sport and their team against them knowing most will find ways to pay for it somehow. I know here in Dallas you can/could finance your psl for 30 years. Something to the effect of a 5500 PSL for 30 years at whatever percent and it was like 300 once a year and then you pay your ticket prices. -
this is great! Their hopes are tied to old players who always have issues. All the hype is great for them. I hope the whole offseason is jets and dolphins hype and everyone says Josh Allen sucks and the Bills are done. That is exactly where you want to be. as a side note I do not listen to any sports talk radio anymore so I get that for those who do and do like it as part of their routine it sucks when you have to listen to this kind of stuff 24x7.

Report: Chase Young undergoing neck procedure, is expected to be sidelined into training camp https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-chase-young-undergoing-neck-procedure-is-expected-to-be-sidelined-into-training-camp

yep this article convinced me he is the center and they are going to maybe be in the guard hunt late in the draft or in the summer...or i guess the center hunt late in the draft or in the summer as a backup. so 28 and 60 are probably wr and D-line.
-
The Dallas Cowboys drafted him to play center, but over four seasons, McGovern almost exclusively played guard. When he became a free agent last year and signed with the Buffalo Bills, he was a guard, a guard, a guard. “But I always had the mindset that I eventually would be the center,” McGovern said. “It came sooner than I thought.” essentially that and he and his wife make pizza on fridays before road games. He has the stuff flown in from italy. He started it the friday before the jets game they won and continued it for the road games the rest of the way.
-
well after reading Tim Graham's athletic article on McGovern just now....I pretty much am wrong and this team in no way will take a center in the first round. McGovern is the center. https://theathletic.com/5348891/2024/03/19/connor-mcgovern-bills-center-transition/ So its down to safety, D-line and WR.

Getting safety resolved before the draft would be nice. Having no third round pick is a killer. My understanding from a few people I have read/listened to is this draft lacks underclassmen and is not deep so all those late picks the bills have do not hold the value they normally would. I bet a lot of teams will trade away and move back dumping 5th 6th and 7th rounders for picks next year. The bills only have two impactful picks at the moment so having four key weaknesses is a problem. Solving the safety issue would be huge.
