  1. the thing that stuck out to me was Kingsley jonathan playing all the way to the end. That could just be a numbers thing with the lineman who were available or it could be the were giving him one last shot to actually do something before they move on. personally I don't think he is worth keeping at this point but they have an issue at end because miller is an old pass rush specialist and solomon is a rookie who will not hold up yet paying a 17+(hopefully) game season. So they essentially have two ends they have to keep who are never really going to play base downs or are not really built to play the run at this point. That makes me believe they might keep a bigger guy like toohill and put jonathan on the PS. Maybe a trade or waiver claim there also. the player I think want to keep in case of emergency but have no room for is Lael Collins. Probably a practice squad signing. He can go where he wants but I don't think he will be in demand, he is always hurt. and of course kicker. Much like backup qb they have to go find a new one here. Or they could keep bass because they have the thursday night game right away and after that thursday night game they could bring someone with the extra days to prepare. This team is ready to run the football. They have an excellent group of running backs and the line and tight ends look excellent to me.
  2. They are 0-3 in the playoffs against them because the defense makes critical mistakes everytime. Blown coverages, missed tackles, no pressure on mahomes etc. Its no conspiracy the defense just does not show up. In the regular season they get pressure, they get takeaways and seemingly do not make simple mistakes.
  3. Philly does it a lot actually. They seemingly trade with Dallas on draft day every year. If both sides are confident in their beliefs it shouldn't matter that the team is in your division. From Washington's perspective they got a 3rd round pick from the eagles, which might be philly's or miami's 3 whoever ends up worse they will take that pick. So they got a really good asset and removed a player they did not think fit in with either their system or their locker room or something...so from their perspective they dumped a guy on the eagles and got a 3rd round pick back.
  4. at the moment I do not think they are, he is their number 4. I do wonder though since they refused to give him a new contract if they would move him on cut day if someone like buffalo offered a 4. If they did do it I would want them to extend him for like two years. He would be a great home run hitter here and his speed would be a great asset.
  5. this is true everywhere I think except on the offensive line. I have a feeling they are going to put collins and another player on the practice squad and then go long at the position. Teams will move day 3 pics for lineman on both sides of the ball so they can avoid the waiver line. Last year Beane got a 6 (2025) for Basham.
  6. You didn't like the signings of any of the wr this offseason and now you want to give up 3 picks including a 3rd rounder in next years draft for a guy who is essentially not as good as samuel and also is a guy who has called out his organization which means if he is unhappy he is going to be a pain. Seems like weird logic. If this years wr group struggles so much and it turns into the disaster so many here say it will be wouldn't the best move be to have as many picks next year and cap space as possible so they can make a big move in the offseason and then maybe again in the draft? seems like giving up those picks right now is bad business and will hurt the teams abilities next spring to make moves for much better players.
  7. I am kind of surprised washington didn't turn him into a piece for aiyuk. SF must not have wanted him or washington doesn't want to pay aiyuk.
  8. Nope but i would send chicago's 4 to new york for slayton
  9. I am now on record disagreeing with Coleman on the play. 😃
  10. I agree completely. I just think with Allen's abilities and Colemans leaping abilities and catching ability a play like the interception play where Coleman is right in the hole of a cover 2 (or whichever zone they were in with the corner squatting) like that Allen is going to hit him on the sideline right in between them, like the pitt 46 or 47 on that particular play. Allen will see the zone before he snaps the ball and probably look at coleman first or second on this play. Either way we are all right and wrong here, I just think Coleman is going to be OK.
  11. well that is not what I did, what I did was grab some frames from plays where I think Allen will hit coleman if he gets these types of looks and is this wide open. We have a pretty good quarterback and I think he is going to hit Coleman for some big plays on the sideline this year and eventually over the middle for a few.
  12. I am not sure that play is sprint out though, could be. Ray Davis was sneaking out to the left which kind of seems like it wouldn't be part of a play like that. DiNucci just got here. he has stunk everywhere else he has been but he hasn't had a chance to stink here yet to be fair
  13. my point was that if we get simple zone looks like this in games, Coleman is showing he is wide open a number of times and I believe Allen gets him the ball in all of these plays. Trubisky was terrible saturday. I get you can't evaluate the offense as a whole but If Allen was playing I think coleman would have had a nice day saturday. The same way worthy had a nice couple of catches saturday with mahomes and wentz, they were looking to throw him the ball and I think Allen would have done the same. I don't see that as a sprint out, Trubisky felt pressure and bailed to his right. I think allen before the snaps anticipates going to coleman on a play like this and even at that if he gets pressure he will move to his left because Davis and Coleman are open. on the interception play, to me Coleman is wide open in the hole between the safety and corner and with Colemans leaping abilities Allen is going to put that on the sideline about the pittsburgh 46 or so.
  14. I kind of think he is wide open in those last two. The last one, the interception play, he is as wide open as you get vs that zone. If its allen he is going to throw him to the sideline about the pittsburgh, 46 or 47 and the safety has no shot to get there. The other one I mean the corner is in cover 2 or something and squatting and that is a simple throw over the top to coleman. They both require good throws on time though so I can see why you think the safeties might make plays but to me he is wide open.
  15. which plays do you think the safeties are going to make the play?
  16. Drafting for need like that is how teams become bad teams.
  17. Just pointing out The kid was open and if allen is in the game and they get zone looks like this he is going to fire the ball to coleman on a bunch of these plays.
  18. he looks like a good player but one of his catches should not have counted it was illegal motion and somehow all the officials missed it and the TD was Detroit in man to man coverage and the safety blew the coverage chasing and out route and doubling him leaving worthy all alone.
  19. Just killing time here at the moment and went and looked at the all 22. Not going to talk about the slant at the goal line because I have said my peace here, it was a terrible throw and as Bill Walsh said slants are to be six inches in front of the numbers and never high. anyway, Here are a couple of plays where I think had Josh Allen been in the game the ball goes to Coleman and a few of them are chunk plays of 20 yards (ish). For whatever reason Trubisky did not even look his way a number of times and another time it was Ben Dinucci and you can not put any fault on him after being on the team for 3 days. This play Coleman ran from outside on the left he was wide open and although trubisky had pressure if that is Josh, that ball is going to Coleman. Its a 20 yard play missed. Here is a simple curl, pressure again but if that is Josh that ball is going to coleman. Here off of play action coleman is running a cross and again although there is pressure this is a ball Allen is firing to Coleman This play Coleman is wide open and who knows how far he will run, this is DiNucci though and its not fair to blame him. But in the regular season if a team plays a zone coverage like this Allen is hitting Coleman for a big play This play is the Trubisky interception where he was just staring to his left and then made a horrific throw, again if this is Allen I believe this ball is going to Coleman who is right in the window of the zone between the corner and safety. This could be a play where Coleman gets a high ball and has to go up and get it on the sideline. This is another 20 yard play. anyway, its preseason so teams are just sitting in zones and not really scheming to force quarterbacks to move, or to throw it to a certain spot etc...but if Coleman gets these looks in the regular season Allen is going to hit him. I think the stuff I have read about this kid is pretty foolish and pretty premature.
  20. I think the most important thing there as with any veteran of any worth at this time of the year, teams want to sign them on the tuesday after week 1 so the contract is not fully guaranteed.
  21. honest question. Are there enough high brow, wealthy people who attend Bills games to want these amenitities? This looks like Dallas's stupid stadium, which makes perfect sense in DFW, probably 75% of the people who attend the games have no idea what is going on and are there for the event or to be seen, the cocaine and boob job crowd as it is known. This kind of feels like a big miss for a Bills stadium.
  22. from my naked untrained eye it has looked like alec anderson has actually had some issues at center and not McGovern. I am concerned because Dallas tried him at center in his rookie year and second year and they were convinced he is not a center. The cowboys organization is horrible but the one thing they do have an eye for is offensive lineman. So the cowboys insisting mcgovern could not play center is a concern for me as the season starts. Hopefully he is ok, the bills have a good offensive line coach so he wouldn't go along with this plan if he didn't believe in it.
  23. probably closer to reality is shakir has a lot of catches as do knox and kincaid and then davis and cook get a ton of balls thrown to them. I have said it all offseason and still believe it to be true they are laying the ground floor this year of a different approach, a more physical one and it is going to pay off in the long run. When this season is over if they feel they have a glaring need for a superstar wr maybe they go out and make a deal for 1 or find one in the draft via trade up. I have liked what they have done and hope samuels gets healthy fast.
