  1. every reason? They would be waiving the white flag in that division. Personally if I were a gm I would try and stay out of the top 5 wr pool of money because its too much devoted to a position that does not translate to championships. however, Minnesota needs to sell tickets and some form of hope. If they move up and draft Mccarthy they basically have done most of a rebuild. If he wants out then he has to be traded though.
  2. Why would minnesota trade the face of their franchise though? They have zero reason to trade jefferson. Seemingly they are going to go up to get a qb to maximize jefferson.
  3. yes but numbers wise they would probably not get 78 in that scenario...that is too lopsided. if you want 36 they will probably give you pick 100. so either 40 and 78 for 28 and 144 or 36 and 100 for 28
  4. I know i said in another thread trading back for 40 and and 78 and sending 28 and 144 essentially. So buffalo would have two 2's and a three. Not 3 2's as I stated earlier.
  5. This feels like a spot the bills can move back to. Hopefully some players fall that washington wants. If thomas has character concerns and a shoulder injury he probably falls a little. Would love to see the bills move back and have Two 2's and a three..(78).
  6. off the field injury concern? that is a really weird way of stating whatever he is hearing....is there an injury concern or is there an off the field concern? Is he like a guy that climbs mountains with no safety? One Bills live said today that BTJ has a torn labrum. Is this what they are talking about?
  7. Most likely the Jets will draft a qb next year after the head coach and General Manager get fired at the end of this season.
  8. Eagles possibly trying to trade up. I have seen lots of speculation of Buffalo moving up into Philly's spot so thought it was releveant. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-eagles-gm-howie-roseman-is-making-calls-about-trading-up-in-the-first-round
  9. they have been good with 1st round picks since Garrett was hired. They struggle with the rest of their drafts really, especially the second round.
  10. Yes I misread the rumor I was reading! That is why I deleted it. My understanding is they are after a tackle in the first round
  11. The Bills trade back after their WR/DE candidates are wiped out. They move back with Washington. They trade 28 for 40 and 78. they end up with 40, 60 and 78 on friday night
  12. Yes. The AFC is brutal but the Bills will be among the AFC's top team. Being an underdog this year is going to be great. I hope they get some help on defense this weekend, find a wr that fits, add one more vet wr, find a solid every down running back and a new kicker.
  13. Oh. I believe in paying people for their work and their effort.
  14. Yes I understand it was under a paywall. some people here I am sure subscribe to the athletic as i do
  15. Brugler on Smith Maason Smith Age: 21Height: 6-5Weight: 306 Smith is a traits-based prospect with his size, movement skills and pop at contact, but his inexperience is evident on tape with his inconsistent technique, block recognition and rush plan. NFL teams covet 6-foot-5, 300-pound athletes on the defensive line and those types are in short supply in this draft class, which will only boost Smith’s draft projection.
  16. This happens all the time. Players whine about being disrespected by teams saying they will take them and then don't. Randy Moss built a whole career out of telling everyone Dallas said they would take him and then they didn't and he still talks about it. Nice Article from Joe Buscaglia on where the bills are and how that effects the draft. https://theathletic.com/5430707/2024/04/22/buffalo-bills-2024-nfl-draft-files/
  17. How Does KC Defense keep stopping elite offenses in the playoffs. How do you think they keep winning their division and the championships they have. They play great on the line of scrimmage and get stops on defense.
  18. I wont be mad about Defensive picks. This defense was awful in the last two playoff losses. They are the reason the team can not advance in the playoffs. It needs to get better
  19. Josh Handled the questions really well. I think this will all go away sooner than people think because of Josh's demeanor.
  20. I don't view it that way at all. I think they are reinforcing the narrative of what they believe (and what is 100%) true. You don't need a big flashy number 1 wr to win championships, most of those guys do not have one. What he is telling you is an offense with Allen at qb with a good line and reliable running game can move the ball in the air in a lot of different ways. They want to have guys who can lineup all over and attack teams differently with the tools these guys have. They keep mentioning YAC and that seems to be the plan. This team has a good line, two good backs, two good tight ends, two good wr and Josh Allen. They need more guys in the wide receiver room but they do not have to sell out an entire two years worth of picks to get a justin jefferson type in order to win.
  21. I think he is going to feel tremendous relief once the draft and mini camps are over. Right now the Diggs stuff still has not ended....he is not here and today allen and others still have to talk about him. Once they add another wr or two in the draft/free agency over the next 10 days there should be some clarity with the issue. The real relief is going to come when he gets to training camp and realizes its all football and no more odd distractions from Diggs. Then with the new guys it is going to be great for him and the team. after they win a few games the constant Diggs talk should die down even from the cult following this guy has in the fanbase and the media.
  22. collins has a 1 year deal. So you are trading away a good young player and then next year at this time you are in a spot where you have to find a right tackle? that seems the opposite of the current mindset of the front office. I have to imagine they want this group of lineman to be together for this next run they are putting together. The spot that will change because of competition and maybe the draft will be left guard. Creating an issue at right tackle when the team has a whole bunch of other issues already seems very unlikely.
  23. it really does not make any sense. Brown is a better player than collins at this point. Collins always has an issue of some kind and since that car accident and his hip injury he is essentially just a guy. Trading a player on draft day is also probably the worst time to ever trade a player. Players are valued lower than the draft picks this time of year. They have worked hard to have a good line and now they do and it has some depth with more coming next week. Weakening this group makes zero sense.
  24. Here is somebody named Brendan Donahue's first round for the bills....no idea who this is or why I got this email but it was in an email from sharpe football analysis...no idea why I got the email.. anyway. Trade with the eagles. TRADE: 22. Buffalo Bills: Brian Thomas Jr, WR, LSU Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA (Eagles) If Brian Thomas Jr. does start to fall into this range, it would make sense for Buffalo, who just shipped out their WR1 in Stefon Diggs, to put together a package to move up and secure him. Josh Allen recently listed Thomas as the next best WR in the draft after the top three on “The QB Room” podcast. Buffalo to select a wide receiver with their first selection is favored at -285. Who calls the shots in the Bills draft room? GM Brandon Beane (eighth year) officially has final say over the roster, but HC Sean McDermott’s opinion is believed to carry equal weight. McDermott and Beane were hired together in 2017 and also worked together for six seasons in Carolina
  25. Brugler has him at 19 19. Los Angeles Rams: Jared Verse, Edge, Florida State Since Sean McVay became head coach, the Rams have picked in the top 60 six times — all six have been offensive players. But it feels like that will change this year with the Rams back in the first round and needing so many upgrades on defense, including at edge rusher. Verse brings all-day power and disruption with a motor that doesn’t quit.
