Iran pulls a no show on nuke negotiations
SilverNRed replied to KD in CA's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Are you trying to imply that we can't trust the Iranians?? WHAT?! -
You could parade any woman in front of me and there's no way I'd get it up if I knew the result would be broken glass in my pee hole. The only way this would work is if the prisoners had no idea what the second step in the torture was. And even if they didn't, you'd figure they'd be a little suspicious as to why their captors had provided them with a naked hottie. (All right, all right, if it was naked Mandy Moore, it would probably work but there's no way Mandy would do that to someone. She's too perfect and nice.)

That's not an insult. It's an informed opinion as long as you read a transcript or two and maybe watched a clip that Jon Stewart showed you.

Quiet prayer for the miners in WV
SilverNRed replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The coverage of the poor coverage of the mining tragedy is killing me. Every time one of the morons at CNN starts talking about the mistakes made in WV, I have no idea if they're talking about the actual explosion and rescue efforts or the 3 hours where they were reporting the wrong thing. I don't even think they know! Some of them sound more upset that the press got the story wrong than they are that the 12 guys died. And of course you have the reporters who do the 'fake outrage' thing (because they are so righteous, after all) and they act upset on the air without really specifying exactly who they're upset with. Nancy Grace on CNN Headline News is probably the best example. She spends every minute she's on the air on the verge of tears and just spews nonsense like "How? How? How could this happen?" The answers from anyone she interviews are all just shrugs because no one knows what she's getting at, other than she's upset for the 9,000th day in a row. -
Donahoe is a "very good football man" as long as you don't care about winning. Other than that, he's awesome.

Wilson apologizes to fans for product
SilverNRed replied to Corp000085's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, it is a step in the right direction. In my entire lifetime I can't remember as much animosity towards the Bills as there is right now. Taking responsibility for the team's shortcomings and apologizing for some stupid policies at the stadium is a good way to start smoothing things over while working to get things turning around in the front office and eventually the field. There's no one thing RW could have said in the PC to "get the team moving in the right direction" so don't whine about that. -
Ha! I only read the Newsbusters link but the OGM comments are hilarious! People who hate O'Reilly must really be desperate for a "win" against him if they consider that a victory. Letterman just kept saying "Why are we there? Why are we there?" and finally admitted he'd never watched O'Reilly's show after saying he had a feeling that 60% (?) of what BO'R said was BS. Nice debate, I guess. Finally someone who sounds less informed than Kanye West (and admits it). I like Letterman's show more than O'Reilly's by far and I considered that the biggest embarassment for Dave ever (worse than the Oscars). Do your homework, treat your guests like guests, or retire.

Yeah, he should be calling the fans jerks and confiscating their signs instead. What appreciation! Taking the protest signs from fans during a losing season was the epitome of petty. Let the fans have their signs and God bless them for showing up for this junk. I'm glad Ralph spoke up on this. And, no, I'm not the type of person who would make a protest sign to bring to a game. -
He was funny as hell!

Official Adios Tom Donahoe thread
SilverNRed replied to crazyDingo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for all the really lame 2nd round draft picks. -
Was it me or were the reporters a little obnoxious during the PC? Some jackass started asking a question before ol' Ralph was even done talking and ready to field questions. Then they're interrupting in the middle of responses. This is friggin' Buffalo. We have like 10 media outlets. Everyone is going to get their chance to ask their question. This isn't NYC which has 300 media outlets and 10,000 reporters following a team like, say, the Yankees. Ralph should share his Prozac with the reporters. Calm down!

Sell it at the team store and the concession stands.

I love David Letterman. One of my favorite entertainers ever. But I'm thrilled I missed this. What a complete disaster. Key quotes: Then why are you?? Holy crap, how embarassing is that? "I don't watch the show and I don't have any examples but I'm pretty sure based on absolutely nothing that your show is biased." That's also a horrible way to treat a guest, as some of the commentors on the link pointed out. Don't invite someone on your show if you're going to try to sucker punch them once they're out there (and make an ass of yourself doing it). Reminds me of Rosie O'Donnell going ape sh-- on Tom Selleck all those years ago for being in the NRA. The stuff O'Reilly said about Cindy Sheehan was all very reasonable, BTW. Sounds like he has the same problems with her that anyone would have who actually listened to her interviews.

Losman's "attitude" turned off teamates
SilverNRed replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Most of JP's (lazy, overrated, whiney) teammates haven't won anything in the league either. I'd love to know why they thought they were in a position to demand anything with regard to the direction the team was taking. Other than knowing what it takes to come up short, the team as a whole doesn't seem all that informed. -
I hadn't heard about this, but last year when it happened at a Miami Heat game, it turned out to be a hoax.

Im on my way to the Old Country Buffet
SilverNRed replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So? You know he was smiling in his car on the ride home. The season is finally over and he doesn't have to come up with increasingly ridiculous injuries to fake. Sore Chest. Strained Tooth. Pulled Eyelash. Out 4-6 weeks because "I have a bad feeling about this" -

It must be hard walking around every day knowing that you suck. Dude's only job skill is football and he sucks at it. -
I wouldn't be too excited if our big offseason "re-structuring" was TD leaving and Modrak being promoted. I have a hard time believing that all the personnel moves would have been awesome if only TD had listened to Modrak.

With regard to the offensive line, we already don't have to worry about that pesky thing called talent.
-
The only reason you'd want the number 3 pick this year is so that you could trade down. But then you have to find someone to trade with. 8th is a good spot to get an impact player and we don't have to give out a ridiculous contract.

But can he throw the ball like Roscoe Parrish??

Kirk Ferentz Willing To Listen To NFL Offers

I heard that guy is awesome. He throws inaccurate, weak dump passes for four yards on 3rd and 12, while pissing off the rest of the team.

Bingo.
