  1. Heh. That's a quote I can't use at work. Or maybe I can, not many people know the origin of that these days. Agree with your sentiment on Rotoworld. Good for quick factual news.. but their analyses are not very reliable.
  2. Well, well, well. Ben is a miscreant. In hindsight, this story of him being a locker room dork is consistent with the story of the dork who thinks he can ride a motorcycle without a helmet, and get away with it because he is B.R. after all. "Laws of cranium physics? Naw, that doesn't apply to me. Mine is made of rock." Gary Busey Junior. Except Gary Busey came around to reality.
  3. I'm not going to read the 500 page DAs report. Does anyone know if she went to the E.R. later to have DNA swabbed? If BRs DNA is there.. it's game over for him.
  4. Crud. You're right. I have to re-think this one. Maybe Cougar came back in Top Gun II? Or Days of Thunder?
  5. Ya, rebuild the O-Line is job key. Probably why they aren't spending a high draft pick on a QB. Why draft a high round $ QB, just to see their career end behind a swiss cheese line we have now? Fix the line one year.. then the next year put a fancy new QB behind it. Besides... maybe Trent will make a come back. That concussion really screwed him up.. like Cougar in Top Gun. Maybe an off season will fix that.
  6. Cousineau was drafted first overall in the 1979 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, who acquired the pick from the San Francisco 49ers in a trade for O.J. Simpson. Cousineau never played a game with the Bills after he thought that the Bills were rude to him.
  7. Wilson got to play Blige's boyfriend in the video, which is based on her latest single, "Hood Love." It is due to be released in a couple of weeks I was having a senior moment.. thinking why would Blige want her video boyfriend to be 90 year old Ralph Wilson? Bad visuals came to mind. Then it dawned on me. User error. More coffee...
  8. Someone said "water-bug" player. WTF is a water-bug player? Does it have a high-motor?
  9. 'cept when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.
  10. Check out the cover of the Drudge Report right now (3:30 EST, 15 Feb). The figure skater IS Peter Pan.
  11. No one has mentioned Tebow yet. It's a statistical anomaly.. the quarterback word without the Tebow word in the same thread. Amazing! -- Agree. TE is very likely to be the QB next year. That doesn't bother me though. When you consider the costs of the alternatives, TE aint so bad for ONE more year. Maybe Chan can make him above average. He's done that in the past. The 2010 draft needs to be Offensive Line reconstruction, not QB.
  12. Should he stay or should he go now? Should he stay or should he go now? If he stays there will be trouble An’ if he stays it will be double So come on and let me know! I'm OK if he stays next season at a much lower price. But he isn't worth the big bucks.. for the Bills at least. Given his production this season.. he isn't worth big bucks for many teams. So, the Bills are in the running to keep him on the cheap, I suggest.
  13. That, sir, is a dry sense of humor. I upped your rep... oh, this board does not do that.
  14. Having dissed him as Bills candidate.. I still have to say I admired his work in STL. That was some exciting football. MM just isn't the right man for the Bills. I think he would be a good fit in Dallas.
  15. I saw the D&C article touting the offensive genius. MM is not the man for the job. Here is Lori's find of the month: Mad Mike Martz. A classic post. Placing blame on players for a loss, and not himself... he doesn't have the character needed to turn a team around. Whenever I read "_______ genius" ... I hear Eddie Murphy calling . A classic skit.
  16. Agree with your AVP comments. Though, I suggest it's premature to judge these Bills as improved. Miami was just one win. One. If they look good versus the Jets.. then maybe it's time to start a band wagon for AVP and company.
  17. Houston and San Diego may be more attractive. But I'll tell ya... Dallas and Washington have owners many times more meddlesome than Ralph. So they may not be more attractive than Bflo. Though maybe Dallas is more attractive, they have talent on the roster. Washington is doomed. Who wants to work for Snyder and the uber-putz Cerrato? The Bills will be very competitive for a Coach. I'm glad PF is screwing-the-pooch, that way we know he won't be the bailout sideline pass when Ralph is hiring.
  18. I've got to agree. There should be a new thread with this subject line.
  19. MS would be nice. Though, it one thing for the Bills to decide he's the man. It's another thing to convince MS that the Bills are the team for him.
  20. A few posters have said we need Charlie Casserly. One said a "Casserly type." Please, no. His record with the Texans: 2002 4–12 2003 5–11 2004 7–9 2005 2–14 His best record of 7-9 is the record we've been trying to shed. His record before the Texans, when with the Skins, was mixed toward the end. I don't know who a good player evaluator would be, but I know it isn't Casserly.
  21. Casserly... pfftt. He was a good field scout a long time ago, but has never cut it a a senior executive. As Texans GM: 2002 4–12 2003 5–11 2004 7–9 2005 2–14 Yes... they were an expansion team, but still that is a crummy record. He had a spotty record as GM of the Skins, before the Texans. Heath Shuler was a bust... RB Stephen Davis was gold. To your original post: I agree that many good GMs available. Let's just not use Charlie as an example.
  22. Makes sense from a business standpoint... but it is pathetic, I agree.
  23. Now, I respect Special Teams as much as the next guy. But when a Special Team player is your marquee talent... you've got serious issues. I guess that doesn't need to be said..
  24. Ticket sales, not team record is the metric here. It's all in the buzz factor. The firing will lead to a positive buzz. If the firing occurs now, the buzz will be wasted as the Bills are so awful, that nothing done now will change the season results. But if the buzz happens in February or whereabouts, the buzz may help season ticket sales.
  25. Ding ding. We have a winner. Agree. From a player performance stand point.. there is nothing to be gained by firing DJ now. Whether he stays, or goes, the season result will be the same, 4-12. BUT... if he is fired during the off-season, that may provide a teensy assist to season ticket sales. No matter when they fire DJ, they will loose season tix holders... but if they do it in the off season, they will loose fewer fans by next September than if they fire DJ now.
