  3. Because he wanted control of personnel decisions. He sucked as a GM as the last few years at NE showed. But he is the GOAT HC. I wouldn't want him anywhere near the Bills if he wanted to be GM. But if Beane stayed GM and Bill just coached I would take that. His record when he had an elite level QB speaks for itself.
  4. Just hypothetically speaking what if Beane remained as GM and Bill just focused on coaching. I am surprised he went to college football. He is close to breaking Shula's record as the all-time win's leader as HC. I would think he would want another HC opportunity in the NFL just for that reason alone.
  5. This reminds me of my Isles in the 90's when they had those stupid looking fishstick jerseys. They sucked as they were out of the playoff race before Thanksgiving every year. Nobody was going to their games as many nights they had crowds of around 5K. When the Rangers came to the Coliseum the crowd was 80-20 favoring the Rangers. The Isles were a minor league clown show. While the Isles are not an elite level team today, they at least got back to being competitive. The Sabres can do the same, but they need the right leadership. Terry definitely isn't the answer. If I were Terry I would look at teams like Florida, Tampa, Colorado, Vegas, Dallas, Carolina as examples and hire the next GM from there. All of those teams are competitive and are considered top teams in the league.
  6. I know it's not happening as McDermott isn't getting fired anytime soon.
  7. I have said this before but if the Bills fired McDermott, then I would hope Terry would call Bill. Bill knows how to manage the game much better than Sean. You don't get to 9 Super Bowls by accident. He is a much better DC than Sean. What has been the Bills biggest problem in the playoffs. DEFENSE. Some may say it was Brady as the main reason they won. The Pats defense stepped up bigtime in many playoffs' games including the Super Bowls. Holding the Rams to 3 points. Making adjustments to shutout the Falcons after they built a big lead that allowed Brady and the offense to come back. The INT at the goal line to beat the Seahawks. Allen is a lot closer to Brady than Mac Jones. So.... Bill + Josh = Lombardi. IMHO. Bill does have an opt out in his contract with UNC to come back to the NFL.
  8. Unless injuries hit which can happen to any team, I get the feeling it will be the Ravens the Bills will have to get past to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
  9. Optimistic - Super Bowl champs Realistic - McDermott's D gets smoked again in another divisional round/AFCCG loss.
  10. The biggest difference is Beane knows what he is doing. Terry doesn't. Terry deserves a lot of the blame for the Sabres being a clown show. Beane has built a good roster combined with an elite level QB that is a top contender in the AFC every year.
  11. This or one Super Bowl win and he punches his ticket to Canton. At the end of the day the way his career is going he is a very good bet to be in Canton when it's all said and done.
  12. I wanted him gone after 13 seconds but I knew that wasn't going to happen as they had a great year despite that painful loss. I thought his seat would get hot after the blowout loss to the Bengals in the playoffs, but it didn't. At this point it would take a horrible season something like 7-10, 6-11 and maybe Terry thinks about making a change. Otherwise, I don't see him getting fired if the team keeps making the playoffs.
  13. Something else to keep an eye on with the Steelers. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/report-multiple-teams-interested-in-trade-for-steelers-t-j-watt-expected-to-increase/ar-AA1HI2RD
  14. Why not do both. A plane ride from NYC to WNY is about an hour.
  15. Terry bought the Bills for 1.4B. They are now worth over 4B in 2025.
  16. He should sell as he has run the team into the ground. He has the Bills who are a cash cow to his bank account. The Sabres not so much.
  17. Tomlin gets his high ranking for winning a Super Bowl and he also hasn't had a losing season his entire time coaching the Steelers. I am not saying he deserves to be 5th but the Super Bowl win and no losing seasons are why the media have him that ranked that high. With McDermott the media sees Allen as one of the best QBs in the game along with a good (NOT GREAT) roster and yet no Super Bowl appearances. The playoff failures are probably why the media has him ranked low.
  18. This isn't McDermott related but check out these numbers. LOL .300 winning % (43-100) since 2015 100 losses! in 9 seasons 🥲 Double-digit average (11.1) losses per season 4.78 average wins per season 🤣🤣 The slumlord Donald Sterling of the NFL A total embarrassment 😳 The above is the Jets record under Woody Johnson. Go Woody you are doing a great job.
  19. It's too bad you weren't flying in 2 weeks earlier. The Bills are at MetLife on Sept 14.
  20. I guess not. I didn't even know the league was looking to expand.
