If you could do only one thing to improve the team for next season
Gregg replied to Don Otreply's topic in The Stadium Wall
OL and a WR-2 opposite Diggs. If they can improve those two things, then it will help greatly.- 102 replies

We have a Super Bowl trophy (or two) if Andy Reid was our head coach
Gregg replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Tomlin became available, I would replace McDermott with him in a heartbeat. He has won a Super Bowl and I don't think he has ever had a losing season. Besides Tomlin would build a tough, physical football team unlike the finesse team we have now that can get pushed around by other physical teams. See Jets game winning drive where they started at their own 5 and ran the ball down the Bills throats for a game winning FG as an example. -
Josh Allen massive favorite in odds to win 2023 NFL MVP
Gregg replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Obviously, any outdoor stadium especially in the east and Midwest can get bad weather but it seems like it's on a different level in OP. -
I would hope this wouldn't be the case. Preparing for the draft starts in September when CFB starts. Beane has his scouts covering all the conferences. Beane can split his time between the Bills and college football. McDermott really can't since he is focused on the Bills season. For all we know Beane probably travels to some CFB games if a Bills scout tells him come to see a specific player and then flies back to where the Bills are playing that Sunday. My point is Beane and his scouts have been paying to attention to these players in college all season long. They are the ones who put together the Bills draft board based on what they have seen. Why should McDermott run the draft when he hasn't focused on CFB like Beane and the scouts have. I hope Terry tells McDermott that Beane has the final say on who the Bills draft. That way McDermott can't do anything about it. Terry is the real Czar in Bills land.

Josh Allen massive favorite in odds to win 2023 NFL MVP

I would add Herbert as well. Allen also plays in OP where the elements play a bigger factor then they do in KC or CIN. Those places can get bad weather as well but not as bad as OP can get. Those miserable weather games can affect the stats. -
In his 20's and making millions of dollars. He is financially set for life unless he is an idiot with his money like Tyson was. He will lead lifestyle that most of us can only dream of having.

Mahomes is better than Allen. He also has the better coaching staff and OL. Allen wasn't as good this year as he was in the past. He had to many turnovers this past season. Maybe going from Daboll to Dorsey played a part in that. Look at what Daniel Jones turned into this year. With that said Allen is one of the elite QB's in the game. But Beane has to help him. Build a better OL and find a legit #2 WR to go opposite Diggs. I hope (although I doubt it will happen) the Bills move on from Frazier and hopefully Dorsey improves in year 2. -

I wish McDermott had Tomlin's success. Then we would already have a Super Bowl championship in Buffalo. -

Coming back with Frazier and Dorsey is mistake. I know it was only Dorsey's first year but watching KC in the red zone run plays where they are wide open for easy TD's and then remembering how the Bills struggle. Frazier's defense has been figured out. Top offenses with top QB's just kill them almost every time. -

Gregg replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Hurts fumble that they returned for a TD was the biggest play IMHO. Philly dominated the first half. That one play kept them within striking distance at 24-14. If its 24-7 at the half I don't know if KC comes back from that. -
I don't like all the political stuff with the game either. That is the world we live in today. The game itself was fantastic. Many times, the game doesn't live up to the hype but this one did. What sucks is we now have a long offseason. Baseball (Yankee fan here) is around the corner. That helps but nothing beats football.

Reid-Spagnuolo-Bieniemy >>>>>>> McDermott, Frazier, Dorsey Chiefs OL>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bills OL These are the two main reasons why Mahomes has 2 and Allen has 0. Taking nothing away from Mahomes as he is the best QB in the league but coaching and OL give him a big advantage. Are the Chiefs really that much better than the Bills. Their D played better than the Bills D in these playoffs. But are they really more talented. At the skill positions on offense, they have one elite level threat in Kelce. We have Diggs. Pacheco is probably better than an RB we have but is it that big of a difference. Coaching and OL are the main reasons why Mahomes was able to lead his team to two Super Bowls while Allen hasn't. IMHO Congrats to the Chiefs. They are the best team in football, and they proved it last night. So, what are the odds the Bills will kick off the season at KC for the opening game. The Bills play at KC (AGAIN) and the Chiefs will open the season at home on TNF for the first game of the year. So, it is possible. -
If it were up to me, I would have no halftime show. Do what they do for every game and have the pre/post game hosts analyze the 1st half. But I am a football fan. The league does this to get the non-football fan to tune in for higher ratings.

The Super Bowl winning team just gave up 35 points in a Championship game.
Gregg replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall
Have to credit Steve Spagnuolo as well. The Chiefs gave up 35 points and his defense was getting ripped apart in the 1st half. But he made some nice halftime adjustments and their defense got key stops and held them to 11 points in the second half. Quite impressive especially since the Eagles had the ball for almost the entire 1st half. Also, the Chiefs OL with a bigtime performance. I hope Beane took notice of that and remembers it when the draft and FA get here. -
Apparently Vegas doesn't agree the Bills are done...

3rd best? He has only won once. Aikman won three and Bradshaw won 4. I am not saying they are better QB's then Mahomes. But they have certainly had more success in the Super Bowl then him. Based on championships they would rank higher than him. -
How do the Bills win the Super Bowl next year?
Gregg replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought Harbaugh said he was staying at Michigan. -
Excluding QB, who has the better roster, Bills or Jets?
Gregg replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only thing I can think of is the late 90's Bills. They had a really good defense led by Ted Washington. But we had QB controversy with Flutie and Johnson. I always thought the Bills could have won the Super Bowl if MCM didn't happen. At the very least they would have had a good chance to get there. -

What about Rodgers. He could reunite with Adams. -

If Carr goes to NO and Rodgers doesn't go to the Jets, then I could see them getting Jimmy G and resigning White as the backup. I don't see Wilson having a future there. -

Count on it. They will be hyping Mahomes and the Chiefs as usual along with Burrow and the Bengals. Depending on how the offseason goes it's possible the Dolphins and Jets get more hype to win the AFCE then the Bills do. I do however expect the Bills to get 4 or 5 primetime games, so they won't fly under the radar completely. -
NFL Honors award winners (Daboll is COTY, Mahomes is MVP)
Gregg replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Congrats to Daboll. To get 9 wins and a playoff win from that roster is impressive. -
How did the Patriots maintain a top team for 17 years?
Gregg replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Much better coaching as well.
