  1. Zack Rosenblatt on Twitter: "This is a key point on the Aaron Rodgers talks: I'd heard that Woody Johnson preferred not to pay the full $59.5 million owed to him, so will be interesting to see how much/if Packers are willing to eat of that to make a deal happen." / Twitter I thought Woody was all in on getting Rodgers. I really hope this blows up in their faces. Obviously, it would be great for the Bills if Rodgers doesn't come to the AFCE. But Jets fans will go nuclear on Johnson if this fails. It will be great to read their forums if they don't get him. The news here in the NYC area is the Jets FO wanted Carr and he would have signed with the Jets, but Johnson wanted Rodgers instead. I will laugh my ass off if the Jets starting QB is Jimmy G, Brissett, Mayfield, White or Wilson. Big drop off after Rodgers and Carr.
  2. This is/was expected. Poyer is north of 30 anyway. I would rather get rid of player even if he has a year or two left of good play rather than hold on to them too long. Edmunds is going to get a big pay day somewhere and it shouldn't be from the Bills. Build the offense around Allen and find decent replacements for Poyer/Edmunds at a cheaper price. It's a salary cap world so you can't pay everyone. Beane gets paid the big bucks to figure this stuff out so let's see if he can. Don't forget we get Hyde and Tre back. Tre should(hopefully) be back to his old self as a shutdown corner this year.
  3. No to Mixon but if Bill suddenly became available. I would offer him a blank check and kick McDermott to the curb ASAP if I were Terry Pegula.
  4. The history of the Bills says differently. Besides if the Bills can turn it around then so can the Jets. I hope they fail of course but if they get Rodgers, then it will be a challenge to win the AFCE.
  5. I thought the Buffalo economy was responsible for Norwood kicking it wide right.
  6. The KC game is on the road again. The Bills already played at Dallas, at New Orleans, and at Detroit on Thanksgiving recently. I doubt the league would have them play a 4th road game. If the Bills get another game on Thanksgiving, it will probably be the night game at home.
  7. Dianna Russini on Twitter: "The Atlanta Falcons will not be pursuing QB Lamar Jackson, per sources." / Twitter
  8. Giants place the tag on Barkley. Albert Breer on Twitter: "Source: The Giants have placed the franchise tag on RB Saquon Barkley. His franchise tender is worth $10.09 million." / Twitter
  9. Looks like the Giants and Jones have reached an agreement. Jordan Schultz on Twitter: "Breaking: Daniel Jones and the #Giants are finalizing a four-year contract extension, sources tell @theScore. Jones guided the G-Men to their first playoff win in 11 years while compiling 22 total TDs and only 5 INTs. https://t.co/tnOGR36gqy" / Twitter
  10. The AFC gets 9 home games this year. Just guessing here but since the Bills opened on the road last year vs LA, I would guess a home game week 1. If the Jets get Rodgers, then one of those games is a good bet to be on primetime with Allen and Rodgers. Also, with the NFCE on the schedule this year that means a few more possibilities for primetime games. Anyone from that division with the exception of Washington would make for a good primetime matchup.
  11. Ian Rapoport on Twitter: "The #Ravens have officially franchised tagged QB Lamar Jackson, giving him the non-exclusive tag. https://t.co/MXzOHvJbWI" / Twitter
  12. Beane needs to hit a HR in the draft/FA.
  13. I wouldn't count on Breece to have a big impact in 2023. It took Barkley a couple of seasons before he regained his old form this past year.
  14. Dan Graziano on Twitter: "I’m told the Jets contingent on the way to California includes team owner Woody Johnson, GM Joe Douglas, head coach Robert Saleh, offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, possibly others." / Twitter
  15. And then there is this. Dov Kleiman on Twitter: "Tom Brady might not be “done after all" with his playing in the NFL, according to @RichEisenShow who talked to people in Indy. "Folks are saying keep an eye on Miami." https://t.co/G554c1AI6p" / Twitter
  16. In other QB news the Falcons and Ravens are discussing a trade for LJ. Dov Kleiman on Twitter: "Report: The #Falcons have “very real” interest in trading for #Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, a source told @MattLombardoNFL “The Lamar Jackson conversation between the Ravens and Falcons progressed tremendously in Indianapolis,” https://t.co/lUigtaoRJM" / Twitter
  17. Rob Demovsky on Twitter: "Update: Sources tell @DanGrazianoESPN and me that a contingent of Jets team officials are scheduled to fly out today to meet in person with Aaron Rodgers." / Twitter
  18. They do have issues at OL just like the Bills, but their roster overall is pretty good. Rodgers goes there and the Bills will have a fight on their hands just to win the division. They may even have that now with the Fins.
  19. They get a lot better. 2022 Stats Mike White - 1192 yards 3 TD's 4 INT's Zach Wilson - 1688 yards 6 TD's 7 INT's
  20. If this happens you can count on a Bills vs Jets primetime game. Allen and Rodgers is definitely getting one. The other would probably be the national game on Sunday afternoon with Romo and Nantz.
  21. He also said he would see us again in the playoffs. Kind of wish he did. I would rather have the Bills face the Jets then the Bengals now knowing the outcome of that horrible game.
  22. Zack Rosenblatt on Twitter: "The #Jets and Aaron Rodgers did speak yesterday, per sources, as @wingoz said. Rodgers still hasn’t made a decision about his future yet though." / Twitter
  23. I don't understand why these players act this way. I get it that some of them grew up in tough conditions but once you have made it as a professional athlete then "grow up". They can lead a lifestyle that most of us can only dream about. Why throw it all away doing stupid s***.
  24. As punishment Burrow, Chase, Higgins, Boyd, and Mixon should be suspended for the entire 2023 season. Same for the HC who is pretty good. Adam Gase will coach the Bengals next season
  25. It's going to be a tough game. The Isles are usually good at home. They haven't played since Saturday, so they are rested. The Sabres will be playing their 3rd game in 4 nights so fatigue may play a factor especially in the 3rd period.
