Bill's defense also played a part in those Super Bowls. Like the 13-3 win over the Rams. Was it the whopping 13 points they put up or Bill's D shutting the door and holding them to 3 points. Or even the 20-17 win against the Rams in the Pats first Super Bowl win. How about the INT at the end the Super Bowl against the Seahawks that preserved the win. How about making in game adjustments against the Falcons when they fell behind 28-3 only to shut them out the rest of the way so the Pats could come back and win in OT 34-28. Brady was a huge part of the dynasty but so was Bill.

I don't think Beane was the GM at the time. Doug Whaley was.

The B's and Celtics are both having nice seasons, so they have that going for them.

Its Pretty Obvious why the Chiefs win every year

If Bill wants to continue coaching, then I could see the Cowboys going after him. Jones is letting McCarthy coach on the final year of his deal. If they don't reach Super Bowl next year, then I could see him getting fired. Jones wasn't happy at all with the playoff loss to GB as they weren't even competitive. Bill at 72 or 73 probably isn't interested in a rebuild. Dallas has a lot of talent. Bill could win there very quickly. -
I don't know if you saw this, as I posted it in the share some music thread. Santana is on stage with them here.

Chiefs are just better than the Bills

The Bengals will have their hands full with the division. The entire North beats the crap out of one another as there are strong rivalries with all 4 teams. -
I can't believe Phil will be 84. Given all the hard partying they did it's amazing that any of the core of 4 are still around.

To their credit they did go to Baltimore and beat the Ravens who were the best team in the regular season this year. I don't know if the Bills would have done that. -
I don't really hate the Chiefs despite the fact we can't get past them in the playoffs. For me it's the Jets (I live in NJ, so I have to deal with the fanbase) then the Dolphins and Pats.

It may take some time. I didn't say next year but Harbaugh can coach. Took the Niners to the Super Bowl and won a national championship with Michigan. Harbaugh will get them turned around and Herbert is still young. I could see LAC becoming a force in the AFC down the road.
-
I could definitely see that. The NFL wanting to highlight Harbaugh's return to the NFL. Plus, you have a good QB matchup with Mahomes and Herbert. But I could see a few teams the league could pick. The Ravens as AFCCG rematch. The Bengals with Mahomes and Burrow as a good matchup. Even the Texans with Stroud.
-
It's going to be interesting to watch the Chiefs and Chargers play now that LAC has Harbaugh. He can build a winner and the Chargers have talent. At the very least KC won't be an automatic division winner anymore.
-
I wouldn't be shocked if it was. Maybe now we get the Allen- Rodgers game that will last more than 4 plays. I could definitely see another week 1 primetime game again.
-
Do we even have the cap space to sign him. I think the Bills will try and sign some of their own FA. Otherwise, I don't expect any major moves in FA this year.
-
I think it's an NFL law that the Bills play the Jets week 1. We open up against them a lot and that includes a lot more than we do against the Dolphins and Patriots.

They did have the fumble after Mahomes hit on the bomb that got them down to around the 10. The INT Mahomes threw at the start of the 2nd half could have been a killer if the Niners offense takes advantage. Credit the Chiefs defense for coming up big in that spot. -
The league has some very good options for the 1st game which we know will be played at Arrowhead. The Chiefs 2024 home schedule. Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, Ravens, Bengals, Texans, Saints, Bucs.

The playoff loses have gotten old. I give him credit for changing the culture of the Bills from a losing one to a winning one. There has been a lot of regular season winning as the 4 straight division titles prove that. But the playoff losses are what people remember most. Sean McDermott is this generations, Marty Schottenheimer. Good regular season coach but can't get it done when it matters most.

Alot will depend on how well Beane does in the draft. If some of his picks can play a significant role for the 2024 season. Like Will Anderson Jr did for the Texans or Puka Nacua with the Rams. Even in our division how JD got Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall in the same draft. I doubt the Bills will be major players in FA with their cap situation, so they better have a really good draft.
-
Definitely going to be some changes this offseason especially on the defensive side of the ball. They need to get younger and as you mentioned it's going to be hard to resign some of them because of the cap. I believe we have 10 picks in this draft. Beane really needs to hit a HR here.

Bills Open With 4th Best Odds to Win Super Bowl Next Season

Let the North beat the crap out of each other. Every team in that division has a strong rivalry within those 4 teams. -

What is the contract situation with their 3 receivers. I know Chase will be there but what about Higgins and Boyd. Can they afford to keep all 3.
