Yep and for the most part it really does seem like fans have a grasp on who would be a good prospect. I know GMs do a lot of work and I know a lot of fans have some hot takes but when it come to drafting players we all end up seeing things pretty much the same.

This point always gets me when I think about it. You've got McD who is known for his defensive intelligence yet they can't seem to draft elite talent. It can be said that "elite talent doesn't just make itself known or guarantied". I get that. It can be said that McD doesn't have a say in the draft, but that's not true. Maybe we're just better at developing and not recognizing? Idk. I can't even say that's true or false. Maybe it just comes down to luck.

I do agree on the Defensive Coach idea. I'm not sure I'm sold on what's going on. I actually feel in "some" ways we are missing Frazier. Stats have really dropped since he left as per a post I was reading yesterday. Absolutely. Got to take advantage of mistakes made by the opponent and seize the moment when we have the chance. We've miss a few and it cost us BUT we are right there. That's the part that stings the most in the playoffs.

I can't keep thinking about how the Bills need to be the Eagles. I remember whenever a team would beat NE and Tom Brady, the league would all say "That's how you do it" and that never really panned out the way we all hoped. Chiefs got beat by a great team. When it come a to the Bills, yes they need some more talent and yes they need to rethink some of their philosophy. But being a part of the copycat/ always a step behind model probably isn't going to cut it.

Eagles - " you can never have enough great players" This says a lot. I don't know how they pay for their elite players the way they do. I guess having an awesome defense built from the draft and all on rookie contracts so maybe I'm answering my own question. Good drafting.

I don't hate McDermott. But he did say it and although it has gotten us far, it's has also disappointed. McD is a fine coach and a great dude. I'm hoping the changes he is making will pay off.
