  1. I'm not sure you can get the Sunday ticket only, if you don't have it already. It is on the basic service.
  2. I have to agree with you. I am not a fan of Eisen, in a perfect world.....
  3. I just heard an interview with a Tampa Buc yesterday, He was asked if the heat is an advantage to the Bucs early in the season. He replied "Hell yeah, I remember the Buffalo Bills came in here last year and we could see they were just dying from the heat."
  4. I have DTV and it is free. It is still NFL football programing, even at its worst. I agree about Wilcots though, he is the best ESPN has.
  5. Actually retread coaches are usually pretty good, having learned from there previous mistakes the first go round. I can think of one offhand, how about Bill Belichick? He seems to have done pretty well with his second team after sucking big time with the Browns.
  6. Kelly may be decent in the right situation. The Bills offense is not it however. The Bills are going with a conventional offense not west coast, which is the only offense he could play reasonably well with his arm strength (or should I say lack there of.)
  7. The bright side is now we can laugh in the face of Dolfin Fan. They are happy to have him and think he can be fixed with coaching. Wait until he feasts his eyes on the many all you can eat buffetts in Fla. The cherry on top is Mularkey running the offense for the Fins.
  8. The Bucs were terrible right up until Hugh Culverhouse Their Piece of Sh-t owner died, and they got great ownership in the Glaziers. They have also had a few decent QB's before the "great" Rob Johnson. Ever hear of Doug Williams or Steve Young?
  9. I think winning in the cold was all about the Bucs D, special teams, Jon Grudden, and nothing to do with the Piece Of Sh-t QB.
  10. I stand corrected. I have the DVD of that season which includes highlights of all the games. I will have to put it on & check out those games again. I will tell you what though, the Bucs won in spite of Johnson not because of him. 5 scores - all field goals! Rob was a Piece of sh--t QB. After I look at the DVD I can elaborate more if you like.
  11. You remember wrong, having watched Tampa since 1984 when I moved down here, (there were no sports bars or sat TV) I saw every game that year. Rob played a couple games and lost them both.
  12. I agree with you, but if a team takes a RT (at #4) or a DT at #8 such as Bunkley or Nagata they also need to be a difference maker. Fat Mike was TD's biggest ( pun intended) mistake. We will have to wait and see who has more impact Bunkley, Nagata or Whitner/McCargo.
  13. The Pats would never been in the Superbowl if Bledsoe does not win the AFC championship game for them after Brady got hurt. Rob did not do squat for Tampa.
  14. I love watching all the preseason games on NFL network.
  15. I agree with you . In this system the linebackers ( a strength of the Bills) play a big part in shutting down the run, along with the safeties (the reason they drafted Whittner).
  16. I'm with you Tipster, last year was JP's 1st as he redshirted his rookie year due to injury. He looked like a rookie, sometimes good, sometimes not so much. I look for him to hit his stride this year. Some of the IDIOTS on this board would have been glad to be rid of Favre or P Manning had they played their rookie year for us.
  17. The Bills Plan to rotate their D-line players just as the Bucs do. McCargo will see plenty of game time frome game 1 on.
  18. Both Whitner and McCargo are potential probowl players. We shall see, if so doesn't matter where they were picked. Nor does the fact that we could have had another pick who may have been a flop and missed out on Whitner.
  19. Yeah but now they have a bunch of Mularkey to deal with.
  20. What happens on the football field stays on the football field, kind of like Vegas. We loved Conrad Dobler after all. The Dolfelons on the other hand do their best dirty work off the field, where there are legal ramifications.
  21. I don't remember the round John Lynch was drafted in, But if it wasn't in the top ten he deserved to be. I will be more than happy if Whitner is anywhere near as good as Lynch - who my very well make the HOF.
  22. In the end the difference between a # 8 pick & #17 is the #8 will be a Pro bowl player for years to come (hopefully), while #17 will be very solidly average.
  23. Could Marv be pulling a fast one? Let the other teams think we are not happy with JP, so they will be worried we will take a QB at 8. This will provide a greater chance a team will trade up to grab a QB leaving us the player we wanted all anong.
