  1. Even from his history with us (think his record is 57 or 59) I think if he is 55 or so yards away on a halfway decent day you let him try it. ...it isn't "no brainer" territory for him, but it does seem to be a range he CAN hit.
  2. This is a guy who every time I see him interviewed just seems to ooze his love and excitement for the game. The man I feel bad for, the team I do not.
  3. score for crayonz!
  4. Man, I was thinking the same thing, Joe. Hey, I posted a couple weeks back that we pick up the phone, offer him a crap load of money, and to screw his political career at least for one year. OH, Brad, you walked away from 2.whatever million to start your way in politics...are you willing to walk away from 6 million guaranteed, for one year?
  5. I agree and I hear ya, D. What I'm worried about is the position you are going to be putting the highest paid Bill in team history that we draft.
  6. Seriously. I'm PO'd hearing of the examples friends and people have given on this Board of reasonably priced tackles we could have gotten for this team to make it better, but didn't (Jamal Brown, starter for the Washington...had for a 4th, potentially 3rd rounder). They knew, I mean I truly believe they knew Green was a turd wrapped in a Bills' jersey since OTAs...yet nothing. So, after we get a QB in the first round next year, which we will if there is a draft, does anyone think this team which hits the free agent market about as aggressively as Jenna Jamison hits church, is going to offer somebody of quality for some serious money upfront to protect their new investment while a lockout looms? We are going to pick one of these QBs, the lockout will be averted during the summer and that QB is going to have a question mark Bell and Jemon Meridith protecting is left and right flank. ...or the Bills are going to tell us that Wang is just about ready and they like what they've seen in him.
  7. At one point yesterday i belive he was averaging 2.4 yards per attempt. *sighs*
  8. Also, you can have some control over your embarrassment, for example, by properly using "you're" instead of "your" and realizing it before it is too late to edit your post. ...but you still feel good about the proper use of the word "too".
  9. No, I don't think it is one or the other and to be more direct with my earlier post, I believe it is both their defense and how bad we were.
  10. Is Roseanne Barr really that unattractive or am I just being picky?
  11. In front of others your wife tells a stupid, old joke that you have no control over and there is dead silence...not even crickets. Your not embarrassed?
  12. Embarrassing is the right word, and admitting that I was wrong (as with the other thread) is another feeling I'm having. I knew we were not going to be great or even make the playoffs this year but I was so put out by the comments that some experts were making that I thought this game, at least, was going to be the highpoint of proving them wrong. ...after seeing almost this same mis-fires, same three and outs, same wondering of "why did we signed a Raider to the offense?" as last year I just plain felt like an idiot.
  13. Not only do I agree fully but I think you stole this from by means of some sort of mind reading technology over vast distances. However, I will let it slide this time as I have no evidence of it and no means, whatsoever, of trying to prove it.
  14. I think if we hit the Patriots game at 1-1, with less than 6 guys on the injured reserve list, we have a shot at taking New England. The key word being "6".
  15. And it begins again this year...even before the start of the season. Our guys don't even need a real game to get hurt. That is #1 (#3 if you count the preseason rookies, oh wait, I'm sorry I forgot Schouman, as well).
  16. Thank you, Fez. Right there. I mean right there you said it (well, wrote it). Knock on wood that we don't have as bad an injury problem this year, but I seem to remember before Butler went down in week two this team putting up some points against the Patriots and Bucs. ...oh, and a defense with 28 pics last year doesn't hurt either. EDIT: yeah, there were two defensive scores in there, but 57 points total were put up.
  17. From the same article: The Jets can take advantage of a loophole in the NFL’s blackout policy that allows team owners to get their games on local TV by buying up any unsold non-premium seats for 34 cents on the dollar. Read more: http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/jets/jets_owner_will_buy_tickets_to_avert_zXk7YOADHJD4Ze6j7oplLL#ixzz0z3RMcy4x I did not know that. I mean, I know the owners buy-up the tickets, but I did not know they could do it for 34 cents on the dollar. ...a little self serving there, and important to know whenever an owner goes out and does this, costing them just a third of the real ticket price.
  18. Thanks, Vinny. One is 13 and one is 7 and it is just not right and not fair.
  19. I go to church every Sunday. I am uncomfortable about praying for victory because personally I think it is a little much to ask that of God for such a trivial thing. If I pray for anything game wise it is that no one gets hurt and they play to their abilities. Additionally, like Millbank, I pray for everyone's safety. My prayer list is filled and very unfortunately and very sadly, lately with children who have leukemia and cancer.
  20. Buf says "How do you?" To Chan Gaileys' Bills debut ... easy on the "boos" I know haikus don't have to rhyme, that was just a bonus.
  21. If asked by the Bills (however unlikely) any 10 board members here would gather together and take time off of our jobs from now until Sunday to work on a game plan, probably forgoing sleep and without pay. ...but honestly, they would have to throw in donuts. Dedicted? Lets load this b@h up and get this season started! GO BILLS!!!
  22. frogger, I got excited reading your post. I hadn't thought about it a lot recently (although i cursed the Tampa 2 almost since we switched to it), but you are right and if you don't mind I'm going to ditto your points, because I also think we can achieve what you are stating, but be reasonable in thinking we'll get to about 5 wins. However, I want to add one thing to your post...and that is a similar attitude on offense and I am not just talking about shoving the ball down someone's throat but also long runs by Spiller that make them cry.
  23. Fixed that for ya, NT!
  24. Just a note: we were 6-10 last year.
