  1. Respectfully disagree. Losman's worst offense was that he wasn't very good...everything else was controlled by the Bills, even having some affect on his results as an NFL QB (Coaching, line, etc.). Maybin can't even get on the field. To more accurately compare Losman and Maybin, Losman's ineptitude would've had to have rsien to the level of never appearing on the field as a starter and never throwing a TD (in other words, Maybin's 20 games without a start and no sacks). Hell, as bad as he was as a QB there were still a couple of games that he just plain won for us...no such comparison with Maybin.
  2. Yeah, I mean even Booker Moore (FB, 1st round draft pick, Penn St., '82) did something after missing his rookie year with a nerve disorder...until Maybin, I thought he was the worst.
  3. Yeah, I agree. If he finishes with 80+ grabs and 12TDs a bonus is probably warranted. However, talk of trying to lock this guy up long term is a little early.
  4. If Fitz stays where he is at (#2 rated QB), with numbers in the 27+ range for TDs, regardless of how the Bills finish I think it would be difficult for others to leap frog him out of a pro-bowl spot.
  5. Man, I'd like to see Wade back as DC. There is no one left from that regime that was responsible for his demise. ...well, other than Ralph.
  6. Man, I hate to say it, but I really could live with 2-14, #1 pick overall and a majority of our games being really competitive/interesting.
  7. Because, Sage, we realized even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every once and awhile.
  8. Hey, you know what receiver is having a pretty good season and who we could have picked up in free agency, that guy who plays for the Bengals with 31 grabs, 476 yards and is top 10 in the league in yards and receptions.
  9. One thing in his defense though, Dork, is that I do want him resigned to be the 2011 brief starter/back-up to next year's #1 overall pick.
  10. With a rating of 99.9, as per the NFL http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?season=2010&seasonType=REG&d-447263-o=2&tabSeq=0&statisticCategory=PASSING&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=PASSING_PASSER_RATING&d-447263-n=1 Don't shoot the messenger, I was just curious about it given his TDs and wandered over to NFL.com. I am stating no opinion, one way or the other.
  11. zow, we knew this was coming and I (and others) have even posted about it. ...it still stinks and it is still wrong but we knew it was coming. No Playoffs since the last millennium, and 8 victories in your last 31 games will do that to your fan base, but then again, the talking heads don't give **** about the truth.
  12. I am going to go out on a limb here and suggest that Stanford's academic standards might put their alum at little more than holders of "joke degrees". I know what you're getting at, but I have a feeling a guy like Luck is really interested in his degree, even though he is an NFL QB offspring.
  13. Agree...what does this guy have, 5-6 TDs in the last 3 games. No his not great and no he is not the future and maybe you do play brohm at some point. However, if it is Fitzy for the rest of the year I am fine with that and I am also fine with signing him up for the next couple of years to be a brief starter and then back-up to our QB of the future.
  14. Thank you, aj. I'm with you on this. I almost dread coming in here and it doesn't have to do with the board members...it has to do with how bad this team is and finding out more about how bad this team is and how down most everyone pretty much is about it.
  15. Last year T.O. had 55 grabs for 800+ yards on a Bills team that was horrible, with QBs being even worse. I have no problem with him leaving and it was best for both he and the team that he did move on. ...and my problem wasn't even with any members of this board who wanted him gone. My problem was with those in the national (and local) media that said he was washed up. Again, I actually thought he played well and produced a decent amount on a team that was as bad as the Bills were, statistically. I told a friend of mine in Cincy that Owen's wasn't washed up and probably was going to be good for 70 grabs and 900+ yards. Well, currently (and I know he had a big game over the weekend that skews it) he has 24 grabs for 374 yards, 1 TD and is tied for 11th in number of receptions and 5th in yards. The Bengals top 2 receivers have 47 grabs between them. Sorry that it is not Bills related. Just an FYI.
  16. Yes, he is a hands down Hall of Famer with gas still left in the tank. Great move by the Vikes.
  17. wow, is right
  18. I tried to say this a few times on this Board but I keep getting the brush off...which hurts, b/c my ego needs stroking. : I want a QB and we need a QB, but most DEFINITELY, via free agency most likely, you'd better show that shiny new first overall pick that you have a LT and RT to protect him, b/c otherwise, this isn't going to work out so well. As a matter of fact, if I were that potential first overall pick I would be telling the Bills, "Show me the Tackles or you better look someplace else." It is great to earn the top dollar right out of the gate, but I would sacrifice it in a heart beat if it meant jeopardizing my career either through impaired development or risk of personal injury. I don't think OJ really enjoyed being an offensive decoy the first 3 years of his career.
  19. Why would you even think that, Finkle, when Marty has absolutely no record of turning teams around. He didn't do it for the Browns...oh wait, yes he did. Well, he didn't do it for the Chiefs...oh wait. Well for damn sure he didn't do it for the Chargers because they...oh.
  20. Man, I can't believe I got that reference. EDIT: and to prove it I believe we are talking about Frank and Ceasar, right?
  21. Ozy, I am not. I saying this for the first time in my life...I think we ARE the worst team in the NFL. Jags may be bottom five talent, but they are putting up Ws. Now, so are the Browns. As far as the other unvictorious/ Please. San Fran is so close to being a 2-2 team it must be sickening for them. Detroit is the same.
