Historically: Probably on pace for around 12 this season (4 more in 6 games he had left). That would have tied for 13th most all time. We haven't seen this type of production since Lamar Alexander 2016 or Mario Williams 2014.(see below) Finally w/ 8 sacks he ranks tied for 38th all time in just 11 games. Check out the list below & notice how few games he's played compared to others on there. If he can continue his current pace the next 3years & stay healthy he can crack the top 15 or maybe top 10. (Also Bruce was a Beast). I know it's just 1 more game but I'm a no. They keep adding games (17 regular season) & changing dates (Thursday night football. Saturday. Next year Black Friday). It's more more more (3 games in 12 days). & We keep seeing injuries to key players & exhausted teams not play well. I don't want more of a watered down product. I want good teams playing good football. Less is more IMO. (Yes, I'm bitter about Von)

He didn't run or workout for anyone. Sounds like buying a used car w/o a test drive bc the owner says trust me.

He worked out well.

Won 14 years ago 2009 (2 years after taking over from Cower who had just won it in 2006). Had massive talent, Roethleisberger, Brown & Bell, were SB favorites & never made it with that group. Easier to take when your franchise & coach have won one. McD hasn't yet (like Marvin Lewis). McD deserves tons of credit for building this team into a contender, but a lot of people do that & don't finish the job w/ a Championship (looking @ you Jerry Jones). Not looking for perfection just a Lombardi in my lifetime (I will be thrilled w/ an imperfect ugly SB win). Winning the SB is & should be the goal, not satisfied being runners up. 13 seconds goes away with a Lombardi.

I like him now. But a couple more years of almosts w/o a Lombardi & he'll start feeling like Mike Tomlin or, shutter to think of it, Marvin Lewis. As my boss once said to me, this is a big year, expecting big things from you (McD).

The Giants also have doubts he's ready to go this season (see below). That's a 1st the Giants & Jerry agreeing on something. Plus his not working out or running for teams, does make you wonder if he's ready to play this season.
