  1. Wiki: "Neal attended and played college football at Jacksonville State and graduated with a degree in criminal justice. He was a two-time all-Ohio Valley Conference selection in 2016 and 2017, the first year as a linebacker, the second as a safety. In 2016 he made 80 tackles and an interception as a linebacker. Switching to safely in 2017, Neal made 33 tackles and had a team-high 11 pass breakups." BB.com: "Over the last four seasons, Neal has racked up 35 tackles, forced three fumbles and recovered two fumbles on special teams. On defense, the defensive back has totaled 48 tackles, four tackles for loss and one sack since coming to Buffalo." I'm very excited for the future of the Bills and Siran Neal.
  2. Siran Neal is two things: 1) A freakish athlete/diamond in the rough 2) A true football player who likes to get physical and punish people You are correct. When we beat KC in the regular season in October, Neal was instrumental in shutting down Kelce. From BB.com: "Siran Neal was another player who saw increased usage, playing a season-high 33 defensive snaps. He was part of an effort that held All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce to 57 yards on six receptions. Neal's defensive responsibilities came in addition to his typical role on special teams, where he forced a fumble recovered by the Bills during a kickoff in the first quarter. "He comes every week (with a) kind of chip on his shoulder type approach, me against the world, which is what made him who he is," McDermott said. "And I think he did a phenomenal job last night balancing special teams and defense." Mystifyingly the Bills did not use Neal the same way in the OT playoff loss. I believe that Neal will see increased usage on defense in 2022. He is the prototypical big nickel and has been groomed for an increased role.
  3. For those who can't get behind the paywall: 1) Ryan Fitzpatrick QB 2) Marlon Mack RB 3) Braxton Berrios WR 4) Austin Corbett G 5) Emmanuel Ogbah Edge 6) Charvarius Ward CB
  4. If you could provide some links I'd be much obliged. I understand what you're saying but for the sake of discussion, when you have an elite QB as we do, it's never a bad idea to add an elite weapon. Say we had Elijah Moore last year (who I liked more than Kadarius Toney). A player of that impact playing with Josh would result in how many more points? How many more wins? Home field advantage? What else? I like Gregory Rousseau but how many wins was he responsible for? Did he make a difference in the playoff loss to KC? So to me that's the counterargument to what you're saying.
  5. I thought we were piling on... don't you want to pile on?
  6. In fact when teammate Robby Anderson strained his hammy in week 17 some think it's because ECMC slapped his butt on the sidelines. True story.
  7. Christian Kirk. Christian McCaffrey? Christian Kirksey? Grasping for straws... out of my depth...
  8. Good intentions? I guess that depends on who you ask. 😅 He certainly was passionate about his hobby of spelunking.
  9. An accelerant in many different verticals???!!!?! Apparently old Russ hasn't learned from his earlier foibles. I think it was Andy Levitre who got him on the little blue pill and Russ has never been the same. 🤣 Yes, Russ "The world is my sperm bank" Brandon.
  10. You know what they say about guys with big feet,,, Maybe he meant ECMC? (Ouch!) Seriously though, Christian's dad was a superb wide receiver (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/McCaEd00.htm) and the kid played at Stanford meaning he's smart. I'm not in favor of the hypothetical trade but I'm pretty sure CMC could transition to WR.
  11. Not sure but I hear the younger members of the Babich family are pretty upset by this hire.
  12. The range of airspeeds varies by species. It's interesting to note that an unladen goose is slower than an unladen swallow but a laden goose is faster than a laden swallow. It's kind of like when Chuck Muncie was slower than John Jefferson and Charlie Joiner in shorts but faster wearing a helmet and shoulder pads.
  13. Now that Bobby Babich will be coaching the linebackers there's a rumor that Baby Babich will be hired to coach the DBs. Father Bob and Grandfather Robert must be so proud right now.
  14. Thanks for the info, Mr Info. Too whimpy, not enough substance. Those guys are never gonna make it.
  15. Just seeing the topic I figured Fitzmagic would get a lot of run. His is certainly one of the first names that comes to mind. That said, Fitz is unlike any QB in the league. Arguably each year brings him closer to firm backup status but he possibly still views himself as a starter. I think the last time he was firmly a backup was at the beginning of his career backing up Carson Palmer. Since then he's started a lot of games and made a lot of money. On top of that he's a bit of a minor celebrity (especially around WNY) and me thinks that McDermott would be wary of a backup who has a nickname and does things like taking his shirt off at Bills games, chowing down the 72 ounce steak at The Big Texan, etc. I could be very wrong about this but my instinct is that McDermott would prefer someone who doesn't attract attention and keeps a low profile. JMO.
  16. If you watch the video they're preoccupied with preparing themselves for the photo and not yet paying attention to the photog. It also bears mentioning that the photog showed very poor spatial awareness. A large component to personal safety is personal responsibility...I'm a bit amazed at how oblivious she was to standing at the brink of a potentially catastrophic fall.
  17. Not to mention a thorough understanding of the route tree... root tree?
  18. What people who take first aid/CPR are trained to do is to make sure the scene is safe and then call for help. Look around wave, point, get on your phone, try to do something to bring attention to the accident victim. Do you think walking away is an appropriate response? Let me ask you this... if Matt Stafford went down there to show care and concern (even standing close by) don't you think there would be photo and written documentation of this? Here's another question for you: If you were a betting person, would you bet that Matt Stafford went down from the stage to see if the photographer was alright or would you bet that he didn't? Here's another thing no one has mentioned which is really more damning on Matt Stafford: Matt Stafford's wife asked the photographer, Kelly Smiley to take a photograph of her and Matt. As they were starting to pose for the photo and as the photographer was trying to properly frame the picture, she fell off the stage. At the moment she fell she was trying to perform a service for the Staffords. It's not like she was taking a picture of migrating geese overhead.
  19. Yes I agree. The indifference and lack of concern is stunning. I'm not saying he should have jumped down there and performed first aid but to turn his back and walk away? Is that even a normal human response? See my remarks above. Stafford acted as if he couldn't care less. Say what you will about Jalen Hurts as a QB but what a wonderful contrast to Stafford when that railing collapsed. Incidents like these reveal the type of character an individual possesses... it's both a litmus test and a glimpse into a person's humanity.
