  1. Overblown? No. For the record, you decided to judge me but I declined to judge you. Good luck and have a good life.
  2. And how about you judging me? What does that say about you? You don't know anything about me, what I do, what I've done, the kind of person I am, the things I do in my spare time, anything I've done for my family or community and yet you feel comfortable judging me.
  3. Partly a reputation thing for sure and the choices aren't perfect but I think this team looks better than previous Associated Press All-Pro or NFL Pro Bowl teams. One person who didn't qualify and hasn't come up in conversation is T.J. Watt. Watt is as dominating a defensive player as there is in the league. His impact goes way beyond statistics. The earlier mention of Micah Parsons is a good call too. Hmmm... I've seen Jacobs play 5-6 times this year and he sure looked like the best running back I've watched this year. Isn't that the same for any player? If NFL WRs and DBs think Davante Adams is better than Tyreek Hill I would not argue against them. IMO Hill is the kind of player who would probably do better in fan voting than player voting. One player who's really overlooked in this voting is Pittsburgh's Cam Heyward. Every time I see him play he's dominating the game. But he's a 3-4 defensive and so he doesn't really fall into any of the given positional categories.
  4. Frazier gets lots of grief here but keep in mind that he's running the defense the way McDermott wants it done. McDermott wouldn't bring in a guy like Schwartz who's defensive philosophy differs from his own. Frazier is like the caretaker of the McDermott Defense. A round of applause for Coach McClappy!!! Reminds me of that old saying "if I have to explain... " 😃
  5. From ProFootballTalk: The NFL Players Association announced the first Players’ All-Pro Team on Wednesday. Only active players were eligible to vote and players could not vote for themselves or for their teammates. They also only voted for the position group they play in as well as the players that they lined up against on the other side of the ball. All players were eligible for votes as long as they did not miss five or more games as of Week 15 of the season and two special teamers were nominated by leaders from each team. The union also announced that they will release the top five finishers at each position in the future. The entire team appears below: Quarterback: Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City) Running back: Josh Jacobs (Las Vegas) Fullback: Kyle Juszczyk (San Francisco) Wide Receiver: Justin Jefferson (Minnesota), Davante Adams (Las Vegas) Tight End: Travis Kelce (Kansas City) Left Tackle: Trent Williams (San Francisco) Left Guard: Joel Bitonio (Cleveland) Center: Jason Kelce (Philadelphia) Right Guard: Zack Martin (Dallas) Right Tackle: Lane Johnson (Philadelphia) Edge Rusher: Nick Bosa (San Francisco), Myles Garrett (Cleveland) Interior Defensive Lineman: Chris Jones (Kansas City), Aaron Donald (LA Rams) Nose Tackle: Dexter Lawrence (New York Giants) Off-Ball Linebacker: Fred Warner (San Francisco), Roquan Smith (Baltimore) Cornerback: Pat Surtain II (Denver), Darius Slay (Philadelphia) Free Safety: Minkah Fitzpatrick (Pittsburgh) Strong Safety: Derwin James Jr. (LA Chargers) Kick Returner: Cordarrelle Patterson (Atlanta) Punt Returner: KaVontae Turpin (Dallas) Core Teamer: Jeremy Reaves (Washington), Justin Hardee (NY Jets) Kicker: Jason Myers (Seattle) Punter: Tommy Townsend (Kansas City) Long snapper: Morgan Cox (Tennessee) https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/01/11/nflpa-announces-first-ever-players-all-pro-team/
  6. Probably heading to the mall to strut his stuff... hoping the gear might have some magnetic properties...
  7. Tu(n)a Ta(n)govailoa http://bouldertherapist.com/html/humor/MentalHealthHumor/rorschach.html
  8. I don't identify as a member of Bills Mafia. I refer to myself as a "Die-hard Bills Fan." Most of the time I like to use a squeegee though sometimes it's better to use a good stiff bristle push broom. I understand having to change the last name but why did he choose Coldfronts?
  9. Now they're gonna have to make Tuna Salad out of chicken scratch.
  10. The squished fish special: Tuna Tagovailoa Served on a chilled dish
  11. Pretty sure Tuna's not gonna play. Didn't Kelso play part of his career wearing something like this? Tuna should consider wearing one too:
  12. Hopefully they don't play this song pregame...
  13. Not only weather but also I think the number of highly-publicized complaints about the playing surface at Soldier Field disqualifies it as a potential neutral site.
  14. We're playing the Dolphins this weekend? Is Don Shula's steakhouse still open?
  15. I wonder if Dorsey's Miami Meltdown did anything to damage his viability as a head coaching candidate this offseason. As far as if he moves on, don't forget the Bills have 4 former Offensive Coordinators still under contract, Rob Boras, Joe Brady, Mike Shula and Aaron Kromer.
  16. As others suggest there's good reason to believe that when consulting the teams, mental health experts, league officials, etc that there would have been resistance to postponing the games for only a few days. I think the only way it could have been continued/replayed is if there was a significant amount of time between the original and postponed date... for instance after the week 18 games. Nyheim Hines 2 return TDs were a godsend because I believe a lot of what I was seeing yesterday was an emotionally exhausted Bills team. JMO. That's why I wrote "Apparently the logistical/financial dominos were too inert."
  17. Agreed on both of your points. If I were a Bengals fan I'd be sorely upset about playing the Bills in Buffalo on the heels of the compassionate cancellation. Also I thought the Bills-Bengals would be made up either utilizing the 2 weeks between the championship games and the Super Bowl and/or pushing the Super Bowl back one week. Apparently the logistical/financial dominos were too inert.
  18. Cincinnati is playing against a BLT? Damn I guess I know who we're playing in the 2nd round. BTW where would Bills-Bengals be played? Is that also a coin flip game?
  19. You're comparing Mike McDaniel( ) to John Harbaugh?
  20. To the first bolded above, can you quote me where I was upset? To the second bolded, didn't I already say the biggest deal was the money raised? To the third bolded, please tell me what someone has to gain or lose by posting their name on a donation. Then tell me what a person has to gain or lose by donating anonymously? What is the motivation for posting your name when you can simply check a box and remain anonymous? Either way you get a receipt for the tax deduction. Anyways, no I'm not upset and I hope you aren't either. If you'd like to discuss this please PM me... I don't want to detract from this thread.
  21. Regarding the "5 minute warmup blame game, as K-9 and others have asked, let's set aside the pointless inquisition of fault. It's witch burning and it's speculative and serves no good purpose. We don't need a pound of flesh. Our world needs forgiveness and understanding. No individual or organization is perfect. The outpouring of humanity is the huge silver lining in this tragedy. It has helped restore my faith in my fellow humans. Awesome. And just two spots below someone made a $10,000 anonymous donation. Publicity yes. It publicizes those who made donations. PT Barnum would be pleased. Regardless of attribution, $5.5 million is an incredible number. I'm sure there are those who donated $30 knowing that it meant they'd go hungry for a day or two. Thanks for a much needed laugh.
