McBeane's investment in the D Line last five seasons
Billz4ever replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
If there was ever an example needed to demonstrate how stats can be deceiving and often do not tell the whole story, it's that one. -
It's a very highly unlikely scenario and ultimatum in the first place, so I don' t see that happening. If it were to somehow ever happen, I don't see McD as the type of guy willing to throw them under the bus to save his skin.

Groot was effective and complimentary when we had Von. Once Von went down and his double-teams went away, the weaknesses in this line were exposed. -

And to add insult to injury, it was against an O-line down 3 starters. We had all our O-line starters and Josh was running for his life. They were even getting pressure by rushing just 3. -
Agreed, I can't see anything happening with McD as long as there's butts in seats and this team gets in the playoffs, even if it's an early exit. It will be status quo as we waste Josh's Allen's best years.

I would really love to hear from the folks who think the Bills can win a championship with this current coaching staff. What's going to be the difference maker with the same coaches and same coaching philosophy? I just don't see it.

I still have faith in Beane, but I just don't think we ever get there with this coaching staff. Even when the players change for the better, the same failed philosophy remains.

ATTENTION HOMERS: You can still love this team and be critical

Nope, not at all. Probably a marginal difference at best. -

Getting absolutely dominated by a Cincy O-line that was down 3 starters was it for me with Frazier and the underachievers we have on this D-Line. Never winning a Championship with that. Von or no Von. -

Not winning with this Defense, coaching staff and players included. Frazier is too stuck in his ways to ever adjust. Dorsey is probably just in over his head and was put in a position he just wasn't ready for. He doesn't seem to have a grasp of situational football and repeatedly makes poor calls for the down and distance. McD, while an awesome guy, probably just isn't a SB caliber coach. I don't see how Beane can justify the resources they've poured into this defense to continually get the collapses we see every year in the postseason. Even with Von, the Bills are not winning the game today. -
So who do we lose to free agency this year?

He probably should have been shutdown weeks ago. Rumor is he has a torn labrum. -

Given how much this defense underachieves, they need to take a good hard look top to bottom. For the amount of resources they've sunk into this defense, the return on investment is lacking. And it's always most evident in big games like this one. -
Cincy had 30 first downs. No matter how much we sink into this Defense, it's never enough.
