  1. To see us keep going to the well with the tush push and running right at where the Chiefs knew it was going and had stacked was maddening. At the very least, they could've tried it on the right side behind Torrence and Brown. And to be honest, we got lucky we didn't lose the ball when Josh went over the top.
  2. In a playoff game? Yes. If they had to do that to win the game. That's what Championship caliber teams do.
  3. If someone is willing to pay him $20M a year, I say good for him and I hope it's not the Bills. I think he's a great player. Just not worth that much when you look a what RBs are worth in today's NFL.
  4. Yes it does. I would expect the strength of our team to pull us through much more than I would rely on our defense, which has depended on turnovers all year just to simply not be totally bottom tier.
  5. You would hope they could, but I thought this year we had the offense that could dictate a game, keep Mahomes on the sideline, and overcome our weaknesses on D. The D got back to back stops and I thought we were in business.
  6. The offense is the strength of this team. The defense is the known weakness. I would put my money on the strength of the team, not the weakness.
  7. On the contrary, I know our defense sucks that's why I'm not surprised we gave up 30 to Reid and Mahomes at home in a playoff game. I figured we'd need 35 to ensure a win tonight and looks like that was a good educated guess. I assume KC will beat Philly too, who has a better defense than we do.
  8. People complained for years about the Bills drafting defense at the expense of the offense and not surrounding Josh with enough weapons. We have drafted defense. Unfortunately, many of those picks didn't work out.
  9. Not if you had also told me they blew two 2 point tries and turned the ball over on downs twice. Not in KC in the playoffs.
  10. It's a bad one who you're on the losing side of it.
  11. There's good and not quite good enough when you know your defense is the weak link. Brady didn't bring his A game today the offense squandered opportunities we normally capitalize on. When you know what you weakness is, it's up to the other aspects of the game to compensate. KC scored 21 against us earlier this year in our house. It's not a stretch to think they would do better in a playoff game in their house.
  12. There's also another saying that says a team's strengths get them into the playoffs, and the team's weaknesses are what get them eliminated from the playoffs. We knew going into this game the defense was the weakness. The offense would need to overcome that weakness and almost did, but fell short.
  13. Yup the defense sucks and the offense was given the opportunity to at least tie or even win the game. They got outplayed.
  14. So you're telling me our defense sucks? OK, tell me something I didn't already know and it wasn't going to get any better with Benford and Rapp out. This defense has survived on creating or being gifted turnovers. They were only gifted one tonight. We've won this year by being the highest scoring offense in team history. We left points on the field twice and didn't convert on 4th down twice. I don't know what else needs to be said.
  15. That's what I'm saying. What we got out of the D was predictable, especially after Benford left and no Rapp from the start. I knew going into this game it was going to fall on the offense to win the game. 2 missed 2pt tries and two turnovers on downs.
  16. Not sure what you were expecting, especially with no Rapp, no Benford. This would've happened last week had we not gotten some key turnovers. This game went exactly how I expected. The defense struggled against a seasoned HOF QB at home and the offense missed opportunities to put points on the board and keep drives alive.
  17. The bottom line to me is that the offense was put in position to win the game or at least tie. How many QBs legacies are based on games just like this one? Given the circumstances of the blitz there, Josh put the ball in position to keep the drive alive. They couldn't convert. We won last week because of turnovers. I knew going into this game KC doesn't turn it over very often and it was going to take our offense simply outscoring them. We left 4 points on the field on two bad 2 pt tries and also turned the ball over on downs twice (one very questionable).
  18. Not against the Chiefs in the playoffs. I think when you have the highest scoring Bills offense in history, you should be able to make plays when the game is on the line. They got outplayed. They had their chance and couldn't make the play when they needed to.
  19. Holding them to 3 there was a win though. The O was put in position to, at the very minimum, tie the game, or do what elite offenses do there and go score a TD to win. They also blew 4 points on two bad 2 pt attempts. There's plenty of blame to go around here.
  20. True, but you simply can't ignore the fact that defense also put the offense in position to win the game with almost no time left, and instead, turned the ball over on downs. We knew the defense was not great going into this game and also knew we were going to simply have to beat them with our offense.
  21. Definitely didn't earn a contract IMO. He probably wants a pretty penny too.
  22. Teams that win Lombardi's make that catch. That wasn't the only reason we lost, but it certainly was a big one.
  23. As bad as the D looked at times, they put the offense in a position to win the game with almost no time left. The offense turned the ball over on downs. Plenty of blame to go around here.
  24. A very disappointing season for Kincaid as a whole. I think Knox was clearly the better of the two. Don't want to call him a bust yet, but definitely a sophomore slump. Clearly underachieved and underperformed this year.
  25. We had our chance, we didn't make a play when we needed it most. End of story.
