Now is the time we need Cook to start playing well
Billz4ever replied to Orlando Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall
Are you at practice? Did McD tell you this? If not, that's pure speculation. It's not self-evident at all. You can speculate and claim correlation implies causation, but in the end, you're still left with nothing but speculation. Unless you somehow happen to be on the ins with McD and he's personally told you the reason Cook doesn't get more reps is because he doesn't trust him, you're guessing. Period. -

You're not at practice either and since other players and the coaching staff have literally been singing this guy's praises since training camp, I really don't know what your point is here. -

That's not how it works. Rookies are the ones who are learning and are expected to make mistakes. Vets don't get a pass just because they're vets. And considering Singletary is a vet of what has been a mediocre running game at best, I'm not sure why it is you think Singletary gets a pass. He certainly has no history that makes him untouchable or should make him immune to scrutiny when he puts the ball on the ground, which leads to points for the other team. -

Why? So Duke can get 1 touch a game just like Cook? -
WR - Almost as Decimated as Secondary

OK, it led to points for the other team. -
The only ill iniformed take is yours considering I actually took the time to look it up. The temp was within 1 degree of last year, It was 89 degrees air temp this year, 88 last year with the exact same dewpoint (humidity). You're here calling someone else ill informed when I'm the one who researched it, not you. And it's still a lousy, pathetic excuse for losing EITHER WAY. Your offense is on the field for 90 plays and almost the equivalent of 3 entire quarters. They got tired playing that much in hot temps. Imagine that.

Perfect time to give Cook some real playing time so we can actually get a good look instead of people calling him a bust based on the one target he gets in game. -

The amount of dropped passes yesterday and you single him out. Amazing. Refresh my memory...was it Cook's drop or Singletary's fumble that directly led to 7 pts for Baltimore? -

Welp, might as well move Cook to the WR depth chart since they don't want to use him at RB.- 173 replies

If I told you... (Injury Reflections)
Billz4ever replied to Captain Caveman's topic in The Stadium Wall
First, I woulda said you better get a priest and some holy water to get rid of whatever curse it is that's been put on our guys. Then I'd probably go 2-2. Maybe 1-3 if I was already in a bad mood when you asked me. -
The Bills won yesterday because.... (karma reasons only)

LOL, I'm just going to prop you up here in the corner until the Bills win. Thanks. -
Very true, but that was on the Bills. If your offense is on the field for almost the equivalent of 3 entire quarters, your QB is throwing 63 passes, the receivers having to run that many routes, and the OL having to hold that many blocks, they are going to be tired even if it's not that hot.

I hate games like this. Based on how things go with us, we will make this kid look like Tom Brady 2.0 coming off the bench to replace a hurt Drew Bledsoe. I know, I'm a pessimist. Can you blame me though? When the Bills win, it's a great surprise, but if they lose, I'm never really disappointed since I expected it.

I remember that game well. Bubby Brister was the Steelers QB. Kelly was over 300 yards, TT had over 100 rushing, and Reed and Beebe were both over 100 yds receiving. The offense was really clicking that day against what was normally a tough Steeler defense led by Rod Woodson and Co.

It's not as if. I didn't read the OP at all, lol. I just read the title. -

At halftime, I sacrificed a goat and drew the buffalo on my living room wall with the blood. No, not really. One of my dachshunds came and sat with me in my recliner for the 2nd half of the game. Now he has to sit with me every week. -

The football gods smiled on Josh and decided they owed him one after having to endure a sexual assault last week. -
Losing sucks, but in hindsight, I would've taken a couple basement finishes if it meant truly getting to rebuild this team and not suffer in the depths of mediocrity for years and being given false hope year after year that some old, tired, retread coaches, couple free agents and some uninspiring draft choices were going to be what was going to pull us out of our deep funk.

We don't need new threads about it every Monday, but since it does exist, people are going to comment on it and how it was extra special terrible this week. So many missed calls all around, this game should be a candidate for disciplinary action by the league. I expect better from NFL-level zebras. If they can't hack it get 'em outta here. I'm sure there's plenty of collegiate refs that would love a shot at it.

Bingo. People don't understand this (or don't want to), but the heat is a quick and easy excuse instead of simply acknowledging the Bills had numerous trips into Miami territory and couldn't put the ball in the endzone. It's a lame excuse. We beat them 35-0 last year. If we had won, nobody says a word about it. They might have said, yeah, it was super hot out there, but nobody would be making excuses and trying to blame the heat.

It was not 10 degrees hotter. I even looked it up on the weather almanac. Air temp was 88 last year, 89 this year with the same dewpoint (humidity).

I never heard it and Josh never said anything about not feeling great on Kyle Brandt's Basement. He specifically said he felt a little sore, but physically he was fine. I think people are making a lot of assumptions that are being turned into statements that were never said.
