Von Miller on Pat McAfee Show - Josh’s hype man and more OBJ smoke
Einstein replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well that’s just plain my fault. I didn’t see it. Thank you for setting me straight master. -

I do too though i’m not sure it’s actually a positive direction. -

We have threads for kids first peewee football games, posters moving from Portland, and peoples personal roster predictions - didn’t think a thread about Von recruiting OBJ was out of the realm of discussion. Or course if the mods don’t like it it can be deleted. I’ll understand. . -

My question is - Did Von Miller photoshop this himself? Or hire someone to do it? Some planning actually went into this haha. -
Do "we" the buffalo community put to much pressure on Josh?

The relevant portion of the video (to the topic) starts at 5:05 ... for those wondering. . -
That better be fixed by opening night. I like to know the scoreboard is working at the stadium when im at home watching on my couch.
-
Yes, they do that too. As well as to pre-season games of other teams.

In part, yes. I wasn't guessing or pontificating. I was outright teaching. A family member was a BLESTO scout for decades and the stories I've heard... NFL front offices are made up of human beings, just like you and I. They are swayed by reports, rumors, etc. Have you ever wondered why coaches and GM's say they will not consider trading X player, only to trade them weeks later? It's because if teams know that you're trading a player, you lose leverage. The simple act of stating that you wont trade a player, even when it is incredibly obvious that you will, creates a tiny amount of doubt in some peoples minds and that's enough. McDermott had an incident in 2019 where he lost his cool on Matthew Fairburn and cursed him up and down due to a negative report he made. McD knows how much it matters. It is also why ever since McDermott and Beane took over, NOTHING escapes One Bills Drive. No rumors. No leaks. Only what they want to be known. Tl;Dr - The current iteration of our front office has used the media wonderfully to their benefit.

Bills' ticket prices soar as new season fast approaches
Einstein replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tip: Purchase tickets 1 hour before gametime. Sellers start to slash prices drastically. Club tickets go from $300/ticket to $100 ticket right before kickoff. -
This should be a lesson for everyone, including me. This is how the league works. Remember how we heard that Ford was having a good camp? The team was leaking good news to reporters, in anticipation of setting up a trade.

Old time TBD posters returning - another byproduct of Bills success
Einstein replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes you’re right. I was thinking of Wys, not Wyo. Apologies. -

John from Hemet is still here - he just changed his username. -
Your dad was right. He definitely had an axe to grind. Even so, his knowledge made up for it. .

Anyone remember when "The Coach" (Chuck Dickerson) was on WGR back in the mid-90's? I know he wasn't everyone's cup of tea but I really enjoyed his football talk. He had a lot of bravado but also a lot of actual football knowledge to back it up. Unlike the 20-somethings that only know the drought.
-
Yes, he does that too. Instead of saying "I drove to Wegmans", he says "I put my shoes on, walking to the door, grasped the door knob, used 4 foot pounds of torque to twist said door knob, pulled with leverage to open the door away from the door frame, stepped outside into the warmth that the sun provides, viewed a butterfly that moved with whimsy from flower to flower, smelled the warm yet somehow crisp air, and put one foot in front of the other toward my vehicle. Once inside the vehicle I used my key to start the engine and grasp the steering wheel in anticipation of the drive ahead to our neighborhood grocery store..." And that's bout the point I turn the station. I am genuinely surprised that he is still on the air. Joe is a mini Nate.

You just described Nate Geary. I cringe and turn the radio station whenever he comes on.

We are either thinking of different people, or I never realized in the 20 years I read their posts that it was a woman. The WYO I know ran a business called WyoWings where he/she sold their barbecue sauces. -
If they cut Spector, we riot.

Rich Stadium Concession Prices circa 1975
Einstein replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
You must not have been to the movie theater recently. The Regal near me, you get a medium soda for $6, popcorn for $8 and candy for $5, Source: Spent $40 on soda, popcorn, and candy a few weekends ago. -

I know it’s an NFL game but that is just absurd. I miss when cell phones didn’t exist. -

Visit the Chiefs board when you have a chance. That place is like the wild west. Wyo started on Buffalo Range for like a decade, then moved on to BBMB during the big purge of 2010. He may have been on the Zone for a little while, but I haven’t seen him since BBMB closed. . -
Barkley had a near identical performance. He just wasn’t given the same number of attempts. He also threw a 1 yard pass on 3rd and 10 (but was bailed out by a Broncos penalty). And a 5 yard pass in the middle of the field with only 1 timeout and only 30 seconds left in the half. And on the Crowder play you mentioned above, he needlessly backpedaled into the pocket, right into the defensive ends - if it was the regular season, it likely would have been a sack. And then Barkley came in and only had 1 incompletion.
-
I think i’m fairly optimistic. One negative comment doesn’t mean i’m negative about everything.
-
I wanted McDermott to send Araiza out to punt from our endzone when they stopped Denver on 4th down with 20 or so seconds left.
-
Obviously just my opinion, but I think the eye test paints a different portrait than the stats do. - The intermediate pass to Crowder shows as a completion on the box score but likely would have been a sack, or worse, in the regular season. Keenum needlessly drifted backwards in the pocket and into the defensive ends. A split second difference and that play is a disaster - thankfully it was 2nd and 3rd stringers and not the 1st string. - Throwing a 5 yard pass with 30 seconds left and 1 timeout in the middle of the field. This was before the penalties and did absolutely no good. - Throwing a 1 yard pass on 3rd and 10 at the end of the half. Thankfully a Bronco penalty bailed him out. Stuff like this doesn’t reflect in the box score but it matters. Barkley is now 5/6 for 50 yards. This Broncos defense doesn’t look good.
