  1. ONE player making a great play does not mean we played it properly. It means ONE player fixed a major problem that was developing. If the line lets 5 free rushers through to hit Josh, but he spins around, does his Allen magic, and throws a TD ... does that mean the line played it well? No. It means, ONE player fixed a major issue. Neal made a great play. One player. I've been teling you this in the other thread. NEAL. He fixed a major issue by himself. We need to fix this so in the future the whole defense is playing this properly. We had 3 or 4 guys tackling one lateraling player. Falling over themselves. It was bad. .
  2. That's Neal. Who I have told you several times is the REAL player who blew up the play (not Benford) He is the 1 Bill who read this perfectly the entire time.
  3. We are talking about that in this thread. There are 2 posters who are adament that we played this well. We didn't. We played it poorly and only had 2 or 3 Bills defenders against 7 Chargers. Thankfully the Chargers runner hesitated and Neal made a fantastic play to read the cross-field lateral and move to cut off any cutback lane.
  4. That's probably exactly what he was thinking. He made the wrong choice. He had a much better chance just hitting the hole and trusting himself to make 1 guy miss. These lateral plays are all about making guys miss. Watch Neal on the reverse angle though. I don't know why those other 2 are talking Benford. Neal is who blew the play up. He made the runner hesitate because he read the lateral quickly and moved cross field. .
  5. I'm thinking the same. Diggs has some injury we don't know about. Because this injury hasn't compromised his game ability, they arent obligated to report it.
  6. Neal had a FAR better shot at the runner than Benford (coming from the other side). In fact, I think Neal saved the play. He read the cross-field lateral and moved over. He made the runner second guess the path and essentially blew up the play. Overall, in the MCM, we were in much better position to make a tackle than we were last night. Look at all these Bills players who had the angle on Dyson... This logic is essentially "players never make mistakes". I don’t agree with that. I'm done arguing this though. You can have the last word. .
  7. In the MCM, our players were 20 yards closer to Dyson and we STILL couldn't catch him. I think you underestimate how difficult it is to catch up to a guy 40+ yards away, even running on a diagonal, when they have blockers. I get that you find it preposterous that Benford would miss a tackle while being pushed sideways by a blocker, but that's common. I fully expect McD to look at the tape and say "this was not good" and fix it. Despite you and Goatski attempts to pretend that all went according to plan.
  8. Gosh I hope you're right. What a Merry Christmas (eve) that would be.
  9. Oh its that easy. I see. Just take an angle and run through the defenders that were blocked there. Jee if we simply took angles and made that happen in the music city miracle, we could have saved all that heartache.
  10. Yeah, those guys who were 45 yards away were going to come and make the play. Jee, why didn’t that work in the music city miracle 🙄. If only the others had come to save the day!
  11. Can you give us video evidence, or at least a time stamp, of when you feel Von is brining pressure? Because when I watch him, he is doing absolutely NOTHING. He has one move right now and it always takes him up and pushed past the QB. It’s even worse when the opponent runs, because then he just stands there.
  12. Bills had 2 guys deep (and they were on the other side of the field). Regardless, 6 blockers > 2 guys deep. If you think McD was happy with that, and is not going to get that fixed this week, we can agree to disagree
  13. Gonna have to disagree here. The idea that we played this right, when the Chargers had 7 blockers against 2 Bills players, just because Benford was almost past his block and maybe had the opportunity to maybe make the tackle, is wrong in opinion. If he misses that tackle, who is stopping him from scoring a TD? No need for a FG obviously. Here is the part I think you’re referencing:
  14. Did he!? I’ve seen several people write this, and he wasn’t perfect yesterday, but I don’t think he played like crap. He had a bad 1st quarter. The final 3 quarter, Allen was 12/15 (80%), for 207 yards, including an incredible game-saving throw off his back foot to Shakir.
  15. - In 2014, we were 8-6 and fighting for our playoff life when we flew to the Oakland, confident in a victory. Oakland also had an interim coach. We lost to that 2-12 Raider team. This time, we won and we should all be celebrating (bUt It WaS lUcKy 🙄). - Saw this from OptaSTATS: “There have been 130 instances in NFL history of a team having 5 or more 20-point wins in a season. There have been 69 instances of a team having 10 or more games decided by 6 points or fewer. The 2023 Bills are the only ones to do both.” - I don’t know what the refs were on last night, but they certainly seemed to be more keyed in on the Bills than the Chargers. The Morse holding call happens on nearly every NFL play. Extremely minor. - Josh Allen threw this, while jumping, and falling backwards, chased by numerous defenders, off his back foot, from the 41 to the 13. This is insane arm strength. Almost incomprehensible. No one else except Mahomes has any chance at this throw. Lewis’ observation of this play saved us. He read the cross-field pass and made the runner hesitate. - We need to work on our end-of-game lateral defense. It was tough watching our defense lunging at the ball carrier before they lateraled it on the final play. And my goodness, if the Chargers player in the photo below had half a brain, it could have been a Music City Miracle situation. There were SEVEN chargers on one side of the field and only TWO Bills defenders. “13 seconds” was horrible. Imagine if we added “1 second” to the list. We need to get better at this. - Is Matthew Smiley gone after this season? Numerous penalties on punt/kick returns, poor returns, we have almost had punts blocked several times, etc. - The Dolphins haven’t beaten a team over .500 in over 450 days. I think that may end today, just because the Cowboys are overrated. But I think they lose to Baltimore next win and the Bills take the division the week after. - Diggs only played 60% of the snaps last night. Something is up with him that the team is not telling us. - Don’t forget to cancel your Peacock subscription. .
  16. You really have done a 180 since the off-season.
  17. “when you’re playing a team with nothing to lose, that’s a dangerous team. That was a dangerous team we played today.” - Josh Allen
  18. Was just listening to McD’s postgame press conference and he mentioned that the Chargers were doing some things they haven’t done all year. Wasn’t on film. That’s another reason why teams get an interim coach bump.
  19. I’ve been searching for this for years. Closest I can find is they intersperse the highlights on the postgame show on WGR.
  20. Los Angeles friend echoed your sentiments. 50% Bills fans.
  21. It’s really upsetting to me that we have Von on the field in these situations. Get someone out there that can make a difference.
  22. Right now. He is a liability right now. Every time he is on the field it’s 11 on offense vs 10 on our defense.
  23. This is one criticism I agree with. Going out of bounds on back to back plays was pretty bad. How do the players not know to not do that.
  24. More likely Vegas just thinks we are winning our last 2 games.
  25. If the season ended right now, we would be playing KC in the wild card. If we have to, fine. But i’d prefer another team.
