  1. I don't think he's referring to the dog, or his heart, or melting.
  2. If there's ever been a better catch in pro football I'd love to see the video. That catch came very close to telling physics to F off.
  3. Try to reverse this. Imagine if a former coach of ours came to Buffalo as a coordinator, beat us at home in an early season (see: meaningless) game, and his players carried him off the field as if he had won the damn super bowl. Fast forward Bills fans. That same ex coach is now using Ralph Wilson Stadium as his "home" field because of a storm. I'm sure we'd be rooting for him.... And we'd be very classy about it.
  4. Too soon for a "most people in Detroit still won't be able to afford them" joke?
  5. This. This so !@#$ing much.
  6. Is "weather" the new code word for "not having an OLine, bringing Kyle Orton in as a Savior to the biggest draft reach ever, our two star RBs being injured, and a head coach who allows his OC to call plays despite his clear dementia?" If so, then yes, the season is done in by weather.

  8. FYI - some good news. If you've been trapped in the snowstorm and can finally get out today, lucky for you it's TGI Fridays weekly day to be open. Go enjoy a $9.99 "steak" or some "shrimp poppers" or whatever other garbage they sell. But at 10pm there doors close for another long seven days so get there quick.
  9. And in the low 30s/High 20s for the rest of the week. You've mentioned that "snow melts" in multiple threads now. Do you think you're the only one who knows that? Again, this is 440 MILLION POUNDS of snow. One 55 degree day won't melt that. In fact, If it did, they'd be straight !@#$ed. Worse, some of it WILL melt. Then, and buckle your seatbelt because this is some real life !@#$ing science headed your way, it will freeze again, on top of the remaining 3-4 feet. This isn't your standard snow storm. And it's not goin to be spring next week. One day, with a high of 55 (meaning it will likely be over 50 for 4 hours max) is likely the worst thing that can happen right now. If they don't remove the snow, it will become a 3 foot layer of snow with three inches of solid ice on top. But please keep posting how "it will just melt."
  10. Thank you. I may not know much, but I know the days of the week.
  11. You don't get it?? Honestly? There's 440 million pounds of snow at the stadium.
  12. Douchebag Hmmm, bold does make it feel better.
  13. Right. But I thought that was due to all non-Sunday games being national. If this game was moved to a different day, but still treated like a local game, I figured they'd show it.
  14. I hope it's not national, but that's just me being greedy because I don't have cable and only have Sunday Ticket which doesn't show national games.
  15. Thank GOD we'll have an excuse if we lose.
  16. You were a kid in '77? Why did I assume you were at least 40 then?
  17. According to my dad, there was actually very little snow fall in 77. As he tells it, the lake was frozen over, and covered with snow, and then the blizzard brought 60-70 MPH winds and some snow which blew the snow off the lake. He was stuck at work (HSBC) for 3 days as the drifts were as high as you said. He said it was 60 below with the wind chill. All of this might have built in legend over 37 years, but he said these two storms aren't comparable other than they both suck. He is currently without power in Derby, and like I said, the vodka is gone, so I'm not sure what he'll do.
  18. Is it irony (probably not) that the only way the Buffalo Bills can get a MNF game is because of excessive snow? Stereotype much? If it does move to Monday night, I'll be PISSED if they nationally televised it since I don't have cable and pay for online Sunday Ticket which doesn't have national games.
  19. Yeah, I'm down in VA, but my dad, who has lived in WNY for all of his 68 years said this is simply the most snow he's ever seen (obvious to those there). My point was more to reschedule to when it makes sense without shortening the week too much before the next game. But Tuesday Night football would give me a solid reason to have beer on Tuesday.
  20. Why? Because figuratively being stabbed in the heart at the end of the game is no longer enough?
  21. So $10 an hour to shovel snow. A single hour of shoveling is a hell of a workout. I can't imagine anyone doing it for more than 3 hours straight with any effectiveness. That, and the fact that it's currenlty against the law to drive in Orchard Park means you're walking there. For $30? After taxes that's what, $23? Are times really that tough in WNY or is this just a way to wrangle up all the homeless in one place for a better census? Move the game to Monday Night, and focus on what's truly important - like the fact that my Dad, who lives in Derby, has been without Vodka for going on 12 hours now.
  22. Without question (and without reading this thread) the answer is Marrone. He has us with a .500 record with an abortion of an OC, no OL at all, a QB who some think is past his prime, and a third and fourth string RB crew. I'm still shocked that fans don't see how incredibly well Doug has done given the tools he's been given.
  23. Show stats or shut up
  24. Donate button seems like the best idea. A pinned thread with a Donate button.
