The other team can call a fair catch if you do that. They used to slam the ball into the ground and have it pop straight up. Not sure why that fell out of favor.
I'm glad they didn't call it. The underthrow deep ball DPI is the most annoying penalty in football (other than the offensive line standing up after a defender jumps into the neutral zone).
Kincaid not having a bigger role is the biggest surprise this year on offense for me. I thought we'd be giving him 5-10 yard completions with a chance for YAC all season. I think after the first few games teams wised up and started shutting down the short stuff. Also the injuries didn't help.
Ha, it will still be seen as a bad move (unless he balls out in the playoffs), but nobody will care. The Chiefs drafting Edwards-Helaire with a first round pick was a bad move, but I doubt they are losing sleep over it.
Thanks, that actually got a belly laugh out of me. He's playing at a below replacement level. Plug in a league average starter at DE and it would be an improvement.
I’m living in the reality where Von Miller has 9 tackles and 4 sacks for the entire season (and 3 of those sacks were in the first 3 games where the Bills blew out their opponents and Miller could just pin his ears back and rush in obvious passing downs).
I don’t know about his “grades” relative to other pass rushers, but I’m not really seeing it.
What I do see is him way overshooting the QB and doing a loop around on his pass rushes. Maybe the graders are counting those as pressures?
In an entire season he’s made approximately zero plays that have impacted the outcome of the game. But I guess you live in a different reality.
